[5.0] "A one match show unfortunately but what a match it is. Ishimori/Kidd (**1/4) - A solid Junior/Young Lion match. Nothing special here. Kidd looked alright and maybe he has a future with the company. Kanemaru/Uemura (**1/4) - Another solid match, on par with the opening match. Uemura might be one of the my favorite Young Lions next to Narita and Umino. He's got a great physique and seems to have nice athleticism. Looking forward to see where he'll be in a few years time. Suzuki/Nagata (****1/2) - This is the only match on the show truly worth watching. It's everything i wanted from them. Strikes galore and a great finish. Okada/Gedo (**1/4) - I don't even know how to rate this match. An argument could be made that this is a one star match but i personally enjoyed how silly this was. This had no right to be the main event and the only reason it was the main event is because Okada is Okada. Gedo is barely a wrestler and he should not have been dominating Okada despite the cheap tricks he used. Those cheap tricks and goofy Bullet Club antics were hilarious though and Okada not even using the Rainmaker to beat him was awesome. Probably the worst Okada main event i have ever seen but it was what it was."

[6.0] "Taiji Ishimori v. Gabriel Kidd (4/10) - Pretty Solid match here, love both these guys, and Kidd has gotten noticeably better. Ishimori is so smooth. Yoshinobu Kanemaru v. Yuya Uemura (5/10) - Nice showing for Uemura who continues to prove to be one of the best Young Lions, and Kanemaru looked good as ever. Chaos v. LIJ (4/10) - Nothing of note really stood out other than the excitement of having these guys back in the ring. Yuji Nagata v. Minoru Suzuki (9/10) - What a brawl man, this was so good. Watching these two beat the crap out of each other and enjoying it was insane! Kazuchika Okada v. Gedo (4/10) - Honestly? I thought Gedo trying to cheat every way possible way was hilarious, and Okada manhandled him and didn't even need to Rainmaker to do it, awesome."

[6.0] "I didn't enjoy this show as much as night one but it was still an easy enough watch. The big match everybody is talking about (Ngata Suzuki) didn't work that great for me either. I just find two old geezers going at it not all that interesting. That being said, I completely get that this is a like it or love it type of match so I wouldn't knock anybody for thinking it was great. I actually preferred the main event - these tournaments allow such strange pairings to exist and this are a refreshing change. Once again, the pace of the show was fantastic... I am loving the 2 cup matches-multi man tag-interval-2 main event cup match format. Long may it continue."

[6.0] "This was a pretty uneventful, but ultimately serviceable show. Kidd vs Ishimori was actually pretty good, had some strong mat work and good counters from Kidd: ***1/4-. Uemura vs Kanemaru dragged and was okay enough, but didn't do much for me: **3/4-. CHAOS vs LIJ was pretty fun and definitely got me more excited for Shingo vs SHO. Nagata vs Suzuki was good, though some of the striking exchanges were a bit excessive and it definitely had some flow issues at points: ***1/2. Okada vs Gedo was fun at points, Gedo's antics and Okada's response to them was fun, but everything outside of that really dragged and this match ultimately went way too long and didn't justify it's main event slot: **1/4"

[6.0] "HOLY SHIT, Nagata just beat Suzuki! I wasnt expecting that, for sure! Wonderful banger of a match! Aside from that, the Young Lions sure are impressing me with two good showings, the tag team match did a nice job in previewing Shingo vs Sho but was just ok and the main event was fine but i was expecting more story-telling than BC antics by Gedo, some of them were fun nonetheless. Overall, not as good as yesterday's show but still solid."

[6.0] "Nagata vs. Suzuki was the only match I really cared for, and two men in their fifties beating the living shit out of each other is truly wonderful. MOTN and ****1/4 for me. Also, the story with Okada and Gedo not even being worthy of the Rainmaker Clothesline is pretty good, I love stories being told in the ring like this."

[7.0] "This show hit a lot of solid story points, with 1 big highlight match. Okada got some vengeance on Gedo, SHO and Shingo put another few pages in that budding feud and Yuya continues to impress in failure. Day 2 also benefits from not having a Jado match, so you really can't be too upset with decent to great content across the whole show. Definitely watch Nagata/Suzuki. Fantastic match."

[6.0] "NJPW Cup Night 2 - a fine outing for NJPW, but a one match show. Ishimori v Kidd I honestly didn't expect much for this and it was alright for a Lion vs Junior. Kidd has a lot of potential, and will continue to grow and develop himself. The spot where he semi-recovered the Boston Crab off Taiji's Springboard is evidence of that. **1/4 Uemura v Kanemaru told the same story, but I loved how hungry Uemura was for a big win. The springboard crossbody ruled and the rollup sequences with Kanemaru were nice. **1/2 CHAOS vs LIJ 8 Man Tag was a solid but standard multi-man tag, loved the preview of SHO and Takagi. SHO looks ripped as hell coming out of quarantine **3/4 Nagata v Suzuki was freaking fantastic and should have main evented. Two hoss dads beating the shit out of each other for 20 minutes and laughing at each others pain. This is NJPW's best match since returning from quarantine so far, go watch it ****1/4 Okada v Gedo was ok but fell flat. Okada was himself but Gedo is 51 and a manager so lots of BC comedy heel schtick, weapons etc. I loved how in kayfabe Gedo got to the venue so early that he taped a brass knuckles under the ring apron, that made me laugh **. New Japan Cup is going to heat up next week with bangers like ZSJ/Ibushi, Tanahashi/Taichi, Evil/Kojima and SHO/Takagi"

[6.0] "The first two matches were throwaway junior heavyweight vs young lion matches that I'm willing to accept as a necessity during a pandemic. LIJ vs Chaos was the rare tournament setup tag match that's actually worth watching for its match quality alone. Not a masterpiece or anything but really nice. The old man hoss match was absolutely excellent and should have main evented. The main event was a storytelling match rather than a wrestling exhibition. Overall a nice show and definitely an improvement over the first show. Here's hoping the upward trend continues."

Okada vs. Gedo was boring, it was just the standard Gedo cheats and some Bullet Club member interferes match. Today was a 1 match show, pretty much."
