[3.0] "The Dark Scramble was alright if messy, but the finish feels cheap and really diminishes the credibility of the format. Tremont/Lloyd was a proper opener that gave the deathmatch flavor the crowd loves, continues to legitimize Jimmy Lloyd as a main event and segued into a cool NWA Angle, that sadly went too long, lost its focus and became very boring. Colon/Claxton was criminally short and boring, but cleverly teased deathmatch action without giving it away, preserving the feud and the violence for the main events. Ethan/Starr was horribly boring, bloated egomaniac selfish crap and had no place on the show. The Tag Team Title Match was quite fun and unprevisible, with the best result in the end. The NWA Angle had interest behind it, but looked horribly executed, very out of place and has no consequence for CZW. Jimmy/Jimmy looked utterly ridiculous, with them pushing their gimmicks over the line of acceptability and reaching pure idiocy that looked pretentious and unbelievable, just unpleasant despite their hardcore efforts. The Handicap Match was alright, but again fell short of their full potential as they keep holding out for the blow-off, but it was still fun and gave me hope for their grudge match. MJF/Janela was just bad and stupid, they both pull the worst out of each other. The main event had an incohesive chemistry and put way too much emphasis on the inept Joe Gacy, being very average and artificial, with multiple overbooked interferences that felt random, but at least the last sequence was decent and puts over Rickey Shane Page as a strong top champion. This is a show that underdelivered a lot with clumsy execution, rampant overbooking that got in the way a lot, and most of all the wrestling was very subpar and just unpleasant. Callihan/Lloyd and the CZW Tag Team Championship Match, but almost everything else was flawed and made for a very unsuccessful Cage Of Death event that closes a great year on a sour note."

[8.0] "Jimmy Lloyd vs. Matt Tremont was a great opener for Cage of Death (***). Alex Colon vs. Mr. Claxton (*1/2). David Starr vs. Ethan Page (**1/4). Scarlet and Graves (c) vs. Alex Reynolds & Matt Palmer vs. oVe vs. The REP for the CZW World Tag Team Titles was a fun tag team match (**1/2). Then Tim Storm (c) vs. Nick Aldis for the NWA World Title this was boring and so slow (*). Jimmy Havoc vs. Jimmy Jacobs was a really good match (**3/4). Ace Romero vs. Greg Excellent & Chrissy Riveira (**1/4). Joey Janela (c) vs. MJF for the CZW Wierd Title (**3/4). The main event for the CZW World Title was f***ing awesome this prove that Shane Strickland can work all kind of wrestling style! (****1/4)."
[8.0] "I don? t see how this event is getting low ratings, but that? s just me. The event was great from top to bottom with little to no duds. Perhaps the only real dud was the NWA title match which I was looking forward to, and ended up being disappointing as a match. The main event was ridiculously good and that Jacobs/Havok match was a fun bloodfest. I have to give props to the MJF/Janela match which was a great match and one of my MOTNs, the other being the main event. This event gets a 9 rating because it was the event that got me hooked to CZW again and made me a regular viewer."
[6.0] "Like they just wanted to quickly get over with COD this year and leave this venue/arena behind after only 3 shows and have a fresh start at 2018 at a new place. Lazy crowd. Tremont vs Jimmy Lloyd **½ Tremont had a great thumbtack match with Danny Havoc at COD 2011. This match was not quite what i thought it would be. The start with a cliche "sword fight" thumbtack bat spot and the unopposed "bat to the forehead" right at the start was tired. Tremont visibly placing himself for the nail spot exposes the match too much. Too many phony spots in the match and too lazy job of covering up the delivery and set up of things. It still had some fire in it and few stylish bumps. David Starr vs Ethan Page ***¼ Really nice 9 minute match. Beautiful aggressive delivery. Good chemistry. I want to see a rematch of this in CZW. Four Way Tag Team Match **½Meh. Same multi man match seen so many times in CZW. Storm vs Aldis DUD The whole NWA Title thing was so forced and boring and lead in to a terrible match. Bad judgment by DJ Hyde. (Jacobs vs Havoc**¾-***) Handicap Match *) MJF vs Joey Janela ***¾ was the true match of the night. A long feud going back many months. All about the drama over Joeys girlfriend Penelope Ford and the title. Very well mixed up match with nasty spots, heated striking, athletic competition & it incorporated the story elements to it. The big balcony bump was a cool throwback to old shcool CZW. Executed nicely with a safe landing. Spot of the year for sure. MJF sells his arm like his about to lose it. Some good vocal & facial reactions there. Cage Of Death Match *** The lack of imagination & same basic small cage set ups many years in a row have hurt the COD gimmick. This one was chaotic. Still i think it was better than last years COD match. The run-in drama was overdone & Gacy´s bump looked like him just jumping off the cage. The negatives drag it down, but the entertainment value, effort & some good moments make it OK"
