[9.0] "Great show . All the matches where entertaining . This promotion knows how to use an all star cast . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Marty Scurll vs. Zack Sabre Jr."

[7.0] "A pretty good show. Bodom vs Smile was a nice opener. Bodom had a good heel presence and Smile had some alright high flying moves. ***. Sterling & Redman vs War Machine was okay. Sterling and Redman were ragdolls for the entire first half but then showed in the second half that they actually were talented. War Machine's usual strength looked good. ***. Yoshi-Hashi vs Dunn was fun. Dunn's heel characteristics were very unique and entertaining and Yoshi-Hashi got some fun comebacks and hope-spots. I was shocked to see Yoshi-Hashi survive Dunn's finisher and actually win but the final few minutes leading to that were very exciting. ***1/4. Scurll vs Sabre Jr. was long but great. Lots of fluid sequences and entertaining character moments, although a bit formulaic at times. ***3/4-****. Seven vs Lee was alright. Seven's gimmick was entertaining and his offence was quite unique. Lee's "TNA Superstar" gimmick was very entertaining. This was a bit of a spotfest but still entertaining. ***1/4-***1/2. White vs Stone was disappointing. The match had minimal tension or crowd interest. The chemistry was perfectly fine, the match just wasn't structured to build tension properly, and the placing on the card as the semi-main event was obviously a poor choice. **1/4. Shibata vs Riddle was great (ignoring some obnoxious crowd chants). The MMA background of both men featured heavily and made for a great heavy hitting and fighting spirit based match. Shibata came off like a star. ****"

[7.0] "Had high expectations when I decided to watch this but I ended up feeling disappointed. I found most matches to be average & forgettable. Scrull vs ZSJ and Shibata vs Riddle have both been rated pretty well on here; however I felt that both matches were somewhat overbooked especially Scrull vs ZSJ. Bodom vs Smile - Both are good talents but this match lacked flow, average. War Machine vs Sterling & Redman - First time seeing War Machine and I was impressed, not so much with Sterling & Redman. Yoshi-Hashi vs Dunne - Dunne done his usual offense, Yoshi-Hashi got his offense in, picked up down the stretch but the finish felt underwhelming. Scrull vs ZSJ - Had its good moments but it went on for too long, overbooking let the match down. Seven vs Lee - Comedic start, after that I don't remember much. White vs Stone - Didn't bother. Shibata vs Riddle - My kind of match, hard hitting and technical, yet again though I thought this was overbooked, no selling down the stretch annoyed me."

[7.0] "A relatively consistent show, filled with good matches, barring two opposite extremes. Smile vs Bodom was a serviceable opener (***1/4) as was the tag title match, which was basically a War Machine showcase (***1/4). Pete Dunne and YOSHI-HASHI had a very nice mismatch with a surprising finish; Peter's chemistry with NJPW talent is apparent (***1/2). Scurll vs ZSJ was a match that had a handful of good moments, whether they be crowd reactions or well-executed moves or good character moments from Scurll, interspersed throughout 41 minutes of bullshit; the matwork served no real purpose outside of a single story beat that they dragged out way too long, and this match highlighted everything I hate about Zack Sabre Jr. 's work much of the time; Zack kicking out of 3 piledrivers in the space of a couple minutes and barely looking more than stunned was horse shit; I love Scurll's work usually but this was a bloated shitshow of a match (**1/4). Seven vs Lee was again a solid outing, I think I liked this a bit less than most (***1/4). White vs Stone was a pretty great semi-main, however, with the New Zealander and the Brit incorporating their Japanese and American South influences respectively and creating a really unique brawling match that incorporated pieces from all of their influences (***3/4). Shibata vs Riddle was a full-throttle ass-kicker match between two former MMA fighters on different career paths, neither British but finding themselves fighting to be the British Champion; these two beat the SHIT out of each other and the crowd loved it, although the pacing slowed down a bit too much in the second half; this felt like an exceptional G1 Climax match with greater stakes, or a NEVER title match on a major show, which of course meant that it was awesome stuff (****1/4). I'd recommend Dunne/YOSHI, White/Stone, and Shibata/Riddle from this show, but if you're a fan of Seven and/or Lee and/or War Machine, those matches are also worth your time. Avoid Scurll/Sabre."

[7.0] "Two matches that you need to watch definitely. Zack Sabre Jr vs Marty Scurll (**** 3/4). Matt Riddle vs Katsuyori Shibata (**** 1/4). One match I enjoyed watching besides those two however was Trevor Lee vs Trent Seven. It wasn't a GREAT match, just fun to watch, especially the beginning."

[8.0] "Quite the show. Quite the show indeed. The matches all ranged from very good to absolutely fantastic. RevPro is certainly benefiting from their relationship with NJPW. Shibata is a great choice to represent them internationally as their champion. His match with Matt Riddle was so good. But the undisputed match of the night was Sabre Jr. vs Scurll. Just a great show from one of the U. K. 's top promotions."

Stone impressed me alot, hadn't seen alot of him before ***1/2 Riddle/Shibata was Great! Wish it would have went longer. Great great show as always from RPW at York Hall."

[9.0] "Very enjoyable event from RevPro. Starting the new year hot with two match over four stars an only one match disappointing. The Pete Dunne result didn't make much sense unless he's WWE committments will limit future appearances for the promotion. ZSJ/Scurll was tremendous story telling an execution, while Shibata/Riddle was a great fight. Overall a good event from start to finish."

[4.0] "The first 3 matches in Bodom/Smile, War Machine vs. Sterling & Redman + YOSHI-HASHI vs. Dunne were all very underwhelming (*), Scurll vs. ZSJ was way better than it sounded on paper - they worked a very good 40+ minute match (***3/4), Trevor/Seven was good, Trevor was very solid in it (***), White/Stone was a match, really nothing about it stuck out (*), the main event was just as good as it looked on paper - Shibata & Riddle delivered a classic to close out the show (****3/4). Overall the show wasn't very good, but the main event is must see & ZSJ vs. Scurll was also really damn good."

[9.0] "Really awesome event. Bodom vs Smile was a super fun, high energy opener ***3/4. Tag match was another super fun match. Both teams worked really well together and looked fantastic ***3/4. Dunne vs YH was another good match ***1/4. Scurll vs Sabre was a long, slow, technical war and it was incredible. Really great technical wrestling that told a fantastic story throughout. They built up the match very well and had a great conclusion. This was an incredible match and yet they managed to still leave more on the table for another meeting ****1/2. Lee vs Seven was enjoyable ***. Stone vs White was the only low point of the night, nothing special **. Riddle vs Shibata was an epic fight that lived up to expectations. These guys just brought it to each other hard. Awesome match and a great show of respect after ****1/4. Only thing that keeps this from a 10 was that White vs Stone wasn't that entertaining, still a probable SOTYC"
