| 5 | 30.12.2017 | marexcel | 7.0 | Haskins, Haskins und Havoc geben sich einen ordentlich Gothik-Anstrich und machen als Trio schon einiges her. Barded Wire Bat-Opfer Jack hat sich einen Bro dazugeholt und der sorgt mit Haskins und Havoc für so manche gute Sequenz. Frische Paarung in jedem Fall. Das Gegenteil von frisch bieten dann irgendwie Coffey und Williams. Atmet natürlich UK-Charme, aber ist etwas dünn in Summe. Dahlia darf nach Wochen endlich Hand an Jinny anlegen und verleiht dem Four Way einen interessanten Anstrich. Die Grizzled Young Veterans wollen sich auf Kosten von Moustache Mountain ja etwas Rückenwind verschaffen und bekommen dabei Unterstützung von Connors. Dunne feiert sein Comeback und in Sachen Entertainment ist einiges geboten. Schöne Promo vor dem Match und ziemlich ordentliches 6-Man-Tag-Match. Fehlt etwas die Struktur, aber bringt dennoch Spaß. CCK gegen RINGKAMPF könnte ja richtig groß werden, aber irgendwie enttäuscht hier CCK. Heel-Taktikten und nicht die typische Explosivität, die man sonst von den Herren kennt. Thatcher und WALTER liefern ihren typischen Stil ab. Insgesamt ordentlich, leider nicht mehr. Bei Keith Lee und webster hatte ich noch gefragt, was das überhaupt soll. Dann wurde es langsam klar: Showstealer-Potential von Morgan. Die beiden liefern ab und stellen hier das MOTN auf die Beine. Im Main Event glaubt doch niemand an einen Titelwechsel und so stellen Banks und Andrews ihre Leistung ganz ordentlich ins Schaufenster, aber die Tiefe fehlt einfach. Die bringt dann immerhin Eddie Dennis in die Andrews-Story. |
| 6 | 26.12.2017 | JT Grizzle | 7.0 | The show starts very, very well. Opening tag is frenzied and fun (****) while Williams/Coffey is a technical wonder (*** 1/2). The women's four way is a little bit thrown together and feels like two separate matches happening at once but the chaos is fun and the story between Jinny and Dahlia makes sense (***). Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Moustache Mountain doesn't actually get started before it's changed into a six-man with Connors and Dunne but the whole thing from the entrances to Dunne demanding a one on one match with Joseph Connors is bloody excellent and the wild brawling match in the middle is glorious and highly recommended (****) Following intermission things get a little meh, to be quite honest. Ringkampf/CCK never lives up to its potential (** 3/4) and while the story of Webster/Lee is great, the match itself isn't quite what you'd want it to be (***). The main event is what it is. There's very little chemistry between Banks and MAndrews and the psychology of the match is a little bit wonky. Really disappointing (**) but it did make the aftermath quite satisfying to watch. |

Insgesamt war dies eine gute und vorallem konstant Starke Show welches kein schlechtes Match bot. |
| 8 | 03.12.2017 | TooSweetPhil | 6.0 | Nette PROGRESS Show mit 3 guten Matches zum Ende hin, auch wenn man von der Britischen Promotion fast schon mehr erwartet. CCK v/ Ringkampf ist ein schönes Tag Team Match mit gutem Showing der verschiedenen Stilrichtungen. Die Spots sitzen gut, die Move-Frequenz ist ebenfalls stark und auch das Drama passt zum Ende hin wirklich (***½). Die Story-Line bei Keith Lee & Morgan Webster sieht auf dem Papier deutlich aus. In Umsetzung klappt das auch wirklich gut. Steigernde Spots, Dramaturgie und guter Charakter Display. Da passt vielleicht nicht jeder Spot in's Bild, aber vernünftige Konterserien und starke Momente sind gegen Ende definitiv da. Nicht hochklassig, aber gut und auf jeden Fall rund (***½ + MOTN). Im Main Event zeigen Banks & Andrews dann technische Einlagen mit guter Aktionsdichte und sauberen Movereihen. Niemand glaubt, dass Andrews hier gewinnt und so fehlt dem Match etwas das Drama und die Spannung. Dabei lässt einen die Psychologie etwas kalt, auch wenn alles gut zusammen passt. Handwerklich sind die Konter absolut empfehlenswert, aber vor allem für einen Main Event sind mir das zu viele Töne ohne Musik (***). Insgesamt komme ich somit auf: 6. 40/10 |

Even with Matt Riddle as his surprise partner he got a serious trashing. Joe Coffey -vs- Doug Williams [**] Nice re-acquaintance with old Williams, even if it was just coming in getting beat up by a strong chap of Coffey. Alex Windsor -vs- Candyfloss -vs- Dahlia Black -vs- Jinny – (4-Way) [* 1/2], Trent Seven & Tyler Bate -vs- James Drake & Zack Gibson [1/2*], Pete Dunne & Trent Seven & Tyler Bate -vs- Joseph Conners & James Drake & Zack Gibson [** 3/4] The nearly 20 minutes this battle lasted was a blast! Except for that cheap chairshot finish ruining it all. Chris Brookes & Kid Lykos (c) -vs- WALTER & Timothy Thatcher – (PROGRESS Tag Title) [** 1/2] A entertaining title defense which felt like it ended out of nowhere. Probable were better, but I’m spoiled and was expecting more from the closing moments. Keith Lee -vs- Morgan Webster [***] Yeah, hand Keith Lee a little bouncing ball like Webster and you’re in for a fun game! Travis Banks (c) -vs- Mark Andrews – (PROGRESS Title) [** 1/2] Wasn’t super hyped for Andrews as the challenger, but he gave it his all, even if that wasn’t really enough to really convince. He was given the showcase treatment, getting to land one spectacular move after the other, having the champion in trouble for most of the match. With the right result it became a good experience. |

Lee gegen Webster ein gutes solides Match. Banks vs. Andrews auch ein gutes Match mit schönen Spots ***1/4. |

| 13 | 24.11.2017 | hunterp | 8.0 | Opener did a fine job in establishing Havoc and Haskins as a threat in the tag division. Sexsmith always looks great when taking a beating. Coffey vs Williams was great. The best match I've seen from Doug in a while. The four way was alright. Candyfloss' performance was pretty good and it seems like she instantly became a crowd favorite. BSS vs Gibson and Geeks was good, but had a very unsatisfying finish. PROGRESS doesn't like to start feuds with clean results, so this wasn't surprising, but it did hurt what could have been a great match. My main takeaway from it was that Conners didn't look as bad as I thought he would. Good sign! CCK were acting a bit heelish in their match against Ringkampf. I hope it's just them realizing they had to go extra mile to keep their titles, rather than a beginning of a heel turn. Match was very good, but Ringkampf losing just didn't feel right. Lee vs Webster was great and definitely my MOTN. It told a great story and both guys looked fantastic. Flash's big win is slowly coming and it's gonna be an amazing moment. Main event never reached the level I expected it to reach. It was good, but both guys are capable of much more. Very good show. Everything was at least good and even the slightly disappointing main event didn't hurt my enjoyment of the show overall. |

Williams vs Coeffey. Two hard-hitters from UK. A veteran vs a rising star. Really good showcase of both, ***1/2. Standing ovation for Williams after match was a great moment. Womens fatal 4way wasn't bad, ***1/4. British Strong Style vs Conners, Drake and Gibson in begging was more an angle than match but from restart it was super spotfest which was destroyed by a DQ finish, ***1/2. CCK vs RingKampf was MOTN, incredibly innovative match, ****. Lee vs Webstar was greatly executed typical David vs Goliath story with overkilled ending, ***3/4. Banks vs Andrews was worst match of the night. Fight with absolutely no flow or soul. This match was saved by a few spots in end of the match, **3/4. Only main event was bad match on this show, which surprise me. THIS IS PROGRESS! |
