[6.0] "Season Finale. After the recaps end the episode opens with Vampiro and Pentagon in a mysterious dark place for a pretty good vignette where Pentagon has to defeat a bunch of clones of himself and becomes Pentagon Dark. Trios Title match is up first. A lot of lucha chaos with Rick Knox trying to get everyone to actually tag, that was pretty funny. Most of the match revolves around the Underground cheating and double/triple teaming the faces. Angelico returns to cost the heels the titles. Pretty good opener even if it has more shenanigans than wrestling after the opening seection (7/10) Black Lotus vs Dragon Azteca starts off pretty nice with a plsit legged dodge from Lotus. THe match never really gets going after the opening salvo. It slows down on the outside and the match gets thrown out with Pentagon interfering and breaking both of their arms. A fairly crappy way to dabut a wrestler and to resolve a season long story (3/10) Penta cuts a pretty solid promo before his match to introduce the new dark gimmick. The title match is up next and it's not that great. Most of the match is a meandering brawl. After a few cool moves Vampiro for no reason decides to give Penta a barbed wire bat. Dario goes in to stop him Penta gets distracted and Matanza wins very cheaply. The fans even chant bullshit (4/10) Ivelisse vs Taya follows and its not too interesting either. A lot of walking and brawling around without much wrestling or a story. Ivelisse seems to have the match won after a german and the code red but the lights go out Catrina attacks Ivi and Taya wins (4/10) Prince Puma vs Mysterio is the main event and it was the right choice for sure. By far the best match in wrestling terms. The story of the match is essentially Puma trying to show he's better than Rey, but he keeps getting cocky or distracted by the fans. Mysterio on the other hand is the cool and collected legend countering smartly. They have a lot of really good sequences and high flying moves but done at a good pace. It never feels spotfesty. Great dream match and it really carries the card (9/10) The closing segment of the night has Pentagon ambush the commentary team and bloody Vampiro with the Bat that cost him the title match. Its quite a a grim visual to end the in ring portion of the night. The episode ends with Dario getting taken away by police. The main event and the ending sequences really save the event and make it more or less an alright season finale, but its a huge step down from the Season 1 finale"

[8.0] "Not the best Ultima Lucha, but it was fun. I liked the first season finale better than the second, but the writing has been a bit of a mess in recent weeks as well. Pentagon returns at the end of the show to assault Matt Striker and bloody Vampiro before properly ending the season, which was awesome, honestly."

[6.0] "Well, this wasn't a good end of season. Four of the five matches ended with an interference. I got very tired of the constant overbooking and not giving the matches the time or ending they deserved. The opener was a fun six man tag where all the wrestlers look good. The Worldwide Underground are pretty interesting heels and are entertaining at what they do. But the lost the match thanks to Angelico coming back and hitting Johnny Mundo with his crotches. For me it didn't have sense as the heels didn't have anything to do with Angelico getting injured. Anyway, the match was very good and the action was nice. Next was Black Lotus vs Dragon Azteca Jr. I wanted to see this match cause I was curious about how Lotus would wrestle. But I still don't know it as Pentagon Dark interferes mid match, breaks the arms of both competitors and cuts a promo announcing his new dark persona thanks to his master (Earlier in the show we saw a video package where Pentagon does as Luke Skywalker on The Empire Strikes Back and enters the cave to face himself, but this time Pentagon destroys all the good in him). After that Matanza comes to the ring and they start the Title match. It was obvious that this would end with Matanza retaining, or it would have been at the main event. The match was a dissapointment, as it was a mediocre brawl that ended with Vampiro giving Pentagon a barbed wire baseball bat, but Dario Cueto interfered and allowed Matanza to hit Pentagon with it and then hit the Tour of the Islands to retain. I don't think it was the best decision, but hopefully this means we'll see an even darker Pentagon rise. The next match was Taya vs Ivelisse. It lasted only 6 minutes and they didn't do much. The match ended with the lights go out, Catrina appears, beats Ivelisse and Taya pins her. After the match Catrina gives her the Lick of dead. I want to see Catrina wrestle, but I don't think this was the way. And finally, the main event. The best match of the night, a great present vs past match between Rey Mysterio Jr. and Prince Puma. It was very good, even if it had some weird spots. But the action, counters and moves were smooth. Puma looks strong in defeat. After the show ends, Pentagon attacks his former Master witht he barbed wire baseball bat, makes him bleed and tells the Temple he is now the Master. Hopefully thismeans we have more Dark Pentagon next season. The show ends with the police arresting Dario Cueto and putting him on a car, but he is laughing. I do prefer the ending of the First Season, as this felt a bit rushed, but well it is what it is. They did some cool storylines and matches, but I'm not as invested on the upcoming season as I was with this one."

[7.0] "Good ending to the season I suppose. Opener was really fun with a feel good ending for the faces, ****. Dragon vs Lotus was uneventful, and was more like filler, ***1/4. Matanza vs Pentagon was seriously underwhelming for the long story they were building, ***1/2. Taya vs Ivelisse was decent with a shenanigans ending, ***1/2. Main event was great, and told a simple yet effective story, ****1/4. Could have finished stronger, but we will have to wait and see what happens in the next season."

[7.0] "Ironically I thought this final of the Ultima Lucha series was the weakest of the three. Despite all of the time & money spent on and given to producing the mythological-inspired Dragon Azteca/Lotus confrontation, it was rather heatless and produced an unsatisfying ending. Likewise, due to a desire to protect Ivelisse, her match with Taya served to further I's conflict with Katarina and not to build Taya into a more significant part of the show. Was it just me or did I detect a mini smile of delight on I's face when she was licked (for at least the second time) by K and brought into her cleavage? I was also a fan of the ending in which Pentagon got his heat back both from his earlier loss, and the rub he gave Vampiro throughout via their feud/his mentorship, by slicing V up one more time and taking in his red lifeforce. As far as the concluding segment, I thought there was a segment with Ryan/Reyes in which they found out about the death of the informant and thus sent the heat on Dario, missing from the story. But who left the episode thinking Dario wouldn't be able to extricate himself? Great on-set lighting and posturing & expression from Dario as the show ended."

[6.0] "This show felt like a dissapointment, dispite an amazing trios title match and a motyc in the man event, because there were so many screwy finishes, a copout ending during the LU title match, and the ending set up the possibility of Vampiro being a big deal in LU, something I feel no one wants."

[7.0] "It does not shine compared to the amazing original Ultima Lucha Part 2, it's still a solid Lucha Underground show with some disappointments. The main event is a worthy match, Rey Mysterio vs Prince Puma is great, but not the best match of this season. Both title matches are good, Taya vs Ivelisse and Dragon Azteca vs Black Lotus are not remarcable. I think the great chance for Dragon Azteca was ruined. The post main event is brilliant."

[10.0] "Not as good as last year's finale but I still give it 10/10, because 1. great storytelling on multiple points, 2. Puma/Mysterio is a legit MOTY contender, and 3. the brutal evolution of Pentagon. Plus honestly I thought all the matches were at least ok and most were pretty good. Cannot wait for season 3!"

[4.0] "Ultima Lucha Dos was a fail. Ultima Lucha Uno left the bar so high. Four matches ended with run ins. Taya Ivelisse was weak, the Trios match was funny, but the title match was horrible. Matanza looked like he had a Burrito into him, not a God. The Main Event was great, but the other matches were bad booking victims."

[4.0] "Very, VERY disappointing show. Wrestling was good, sometimes really great, but the booking was bad, and the way the show was laid out was terrible. 4/5 matches ended after the interference, the big title match put in the middle of the show, and a match that was build literally since the beginning of first season, was designed just for another promo from Pentagon. The trios match was really good, but they overdid interference and referee abuse. It was a first match and I was already bored with interference (*** 1/4). I already talked about Azteca/Lotus, what the fuck was that. Why not just do that Pentagon promo during the buildup to Ultima Lucha and let those guys have their match? Pentagon/Matanza was on its way to being really good, but the ending was awful. Seriously, it felt like they were building 5 years to Pentagon winning the title, and now.. well, he doesn't win. Again, 3rd match, 3rd match ending with interference. Taya/Ivelisse was meh, and well, 4th match, 4th match ending with interference. Mysterio/Puma was the only match that delivered, this was just great, slightly below a MOTYC level (**** 1/4). But again, Puma should've won. This show was a massive disappointment to me. Ultima Lucha 1 was a show of the year contender and made me want to see season 2. Wrestling was great, but the booking was fucking great. And here we are, Ultima Lucha 2, wrestling was almost great, but the booking was just bad and this show definitely doesn't make me want to see season 3."

[8.0] "Not as much of a bombastic finish to the season as the first Ultima Lucha, but a great show nonetheless. It felt more like a Summer Finale, setting up Season 3's storylines, but in that context it did its job well. The recap packages and scenes involving the creation of Pentagon Dark/arrest of Dario were really cool, if a bit hammy. As far as matches go, the show was above-average. The Trios Title match was absolutely crazy, with all 6 men going all over the place, and the heel team doing some of the most raw dickbag heel tactics out there. Angelico's return was a fun way to cap off the match and give the heels a taste of their own medicine, giving the faces the win (****). Dragon Azteca Jr. vs Black Lotus was a much better match than expected, even if it was cut short (***). Matanza vs Pentagon Dark had a totally different feel to it than any other Matanza match in that he was dominated from the beginning, before his comeback lead to the interference and his retention. Pentagon looked strong as fuck, but the lack of title change flattened the crowd some (***3/4). Taya vs Ivelisse was fine, but I liked the Catrina teleport finish (**1/2). The main event is easily the best Rey Mysterio has looked in YEARS, and Puma did a hell of a job too. Great choice to put this on last, considering it was the best match of the 3-part finale (****1/4). 4 run-in finishes and an old star going over don't look good on paper, but it came together to create a very good show to lead into Season 3."

[10.0] "Wow what a show! Pure awesomeness. The opening recap was amazing as well as the Pentagon Dark scene. The opener was just an insane non-stop action spotfest ****. Azteca vs Lotus was good for what it was **1/2 but the stuff with Pentagon was great. Pentagon vs Matanza was awesome. Watching Matanza get mauled was great. A little upset no title change but Pentagon came out looking strong as hell ****. Taya vs Ivelisse was another good match **3/4. The Catrina spots were great and now I'm hyped for that eventual match. Mysterio vs Puma... holy shit. Fantastic match, MOTN. Didn't think Mysterio could still go that well but damn did he prove me wrong. Great match and great story ****1/2. Amazing way to cap off an amazing show. That last spot with Pentagon honestly shocked me. Even better than last years UL, I love LU"
