[5.0] "Ok so i decided to rewatch ALL of WWE 2016. Every raw smackdown nxt every nxt and main roster PPV. Its gonna take a while but i think itll be fun. So i remember this show insanely vividly watching it live back in 2016 and i was super young at this point and for some reason i was insanely digging the build up to royal rumble 2016. But looking at this show the only good feud to me is KO and Ambrose that is and always will be a phenomenal incredible underrated feud filled with underrated matches. The return of chris jericho is what i wanna talk about here becuase i of course dont remember if it was rumored or not before hand becuase at this time i was in 6th grade i wasnt to in the weeds online but i honestly forgot he returned on this episode of raw and it was a return i think 100% should have been saved for the royal rumble match itself. Would have been a thousand times better instead of this just coming out here with the new day saying a bunch of lame cringey stuff and announcing a involvement in the rumble match. Pop would have been much better if he returned at the royal rumble. I dont really get the point of the ryback and big show match just for it to be a minute long then end in DQ i guess to make the wyatts seem credible i just dont feel like it was needed at all. Also dont get or understand why Titus oneal and stardust are in a mini feud also dont get why theyre having Titus beat stardust. Ive always been a believer in Cody and even back then i feel like this character even though they made it suck i feel like it couldve been a great mid card character. Cody sold me on the character after the great feud with stephen amell at summerslam 2015. Now the main event i already have a in depth discussion on the match in the match rating itself but it stinked. The in ring match itself was not horrible i feel like Sheamus and Roman always have good to solid matches with eachother i feel like there chemistry is underrated but there was just to much other stuff going on. I enjoyed this match much more back when it happened live and for years id always say wow why is this match not talked about its one of my favorite underrated matches and now i can say after watching it for the first time in 8 years its horrible. They just tried to do way too much in this match. Add on the fact that if you wanted to have this make sense the Sheamus needed to win this match but of course they didnt do that they made roman look like a super hero instead. I also feel like roman defending in the rumble just didnt have to happen it just wasnt necessary at all i enjoyed the idea of him defending in the rumble match much more when it happened live here its just idk dont feel necessary. I feel like roman should have dropped the title to sheamus here. At the rumble roman can win it back sure whatever. Have the rumble be normal and i guess technically HHH kind of has to win the rumble either way if it was for the title (which ik makes more sense him going to mania has champ) just becuase they have this story going on wouldnt make sense to randomly drop it but back then and even to this day either way if the rumble was for the title or not Dean ambrose should have won. Then the story would have been much better with dean already being champ going to mania or not and challenging roman for the belt it wouldve been better then the lame roman and hhh feud. If dean won it in the rumble yk roman can feel betrayed whatever or if roman was the champ and dean was the rumble winner then you can tell a great story there to."
[9.0] "Overall good show. Not the best in all. Nice matches, good continuation of current angles. The end reveal was not what I expected, so that was nice. Pretty nice to see the Social Outcasts getting tv time and what is probably the end to Stardust vs Titus be on RAW. Charlotte's full out heel turn was a long time coming. Ambrose's spot was terrific. Jericho's return and interaction with New Day was also a nice sight to beold."
