[9.0] "My favorite local promotion. I think they draw the most fans of any other local promotion in Michigan and also put on the best overall matches. They are also the only promotion in the area that does hardcore and has deathmatches. XICW doesn't have much hardcore anyone, just on occasion, but Horror Slam has stepped up with great hardcore action. When they started, it had mostly local guys and horror themed characters like Leatherface, Michael Myers, and Freddy Kreuger and the crowds were small like most other local promotions. But it's grown and become a serious hardcore wrestling promotion and drawn more and more fans, even some from out of the area. It's so cool to have a promotion in Michigan that people out of the area have heard of, and they bring in great name wrestlers from GCW and sometimes other promotions like Impact wrestling. Each show gets better and better and I love the crazy hardcore action with guys like Jeff King vs. Marcus Crane and King vs. Shlak and King vs. Matt Tremont, Peter B. Beautiful vs. Chuck Stein, Chuck vs. G-Raver, and Chuck vs. Nick Gage. There are also great technical matches like Josh Alexander vs. Breyer Wellington and MM3 vs. Tony Deppen and also surprises on shows like wrestlers that weren't even announced including Madman Pondo, Zach Gowen, and Kongo Kong. It's great to see hardcore and deathmatches, when there were a few years that we didn't have hardcore in the area before Horror Slam started and it's great to see this promotion doing so well. It seems like they are starting to get some video releases on Smart Mark and hopefully get events live on FITE. tv in the future."
[8.0] "Good humbled promotion with some talented Horror slam originals and awesome guest wrestlers from many other promotions such as GCW and Impact. I travel 6 hours every month to catch their show and I'm always satisfied. Like many promotions they could use improvement in some areas but they do their best to keep the fans and wrestlers happy."
