River City Wrestling (RCW)

[10.0] "River City Wrestling is one of the premiere indy wrestling promotions and a juggernaut of Texas pro wrestling. So many stars have passed through the doors and it's a great place to be! Every show is special and I'm proud to say I've been a fan for 20 years."

[4.0] "San Antonio is the 7th most populated city in the United States yet you wouldn't think it looking at its modern wrestling scene, where RCW has reigned as the top indie for over 20 years now. I mean..... it's fine. Really just the most milquetoast indie wrestling fed you could imagine in your head. Their big annual events are "Rumble Royale", "Mania", "In Our House", and "Summer of Slams". I'm not gonna be mean and use a phrase as harsh as "creatively bankrupt", I'm just trying to indicate what exactly you can expect from River City Wrestling. Owner Brandon Oliver definitely takes advantage of booking the biggest stars that live in the area that he can, like the Von Erichs, Kaun, Sho Funaki (who runs a school and whose son also now wrestles), and I'm pretty sure Moose lives around here too. But even combined with a quite diverse offering of solid local guys like Epydemius Jr., Izzy James, Angel Camacho, and Brick Savage, nothing ever quite reaches that next level you'd expect from a fed of this size and age. I'm not really sure what exactly RCW can do to make itself stand out more in this midst of this absolutely dreadful-for-pro-wrestling economy we're going through right now, but I hope they can figure that out eventually."
