[7.0] "It isn't easy to review an entire promotion. In the grand scheme of things, I've watched so little. I would say the company peaked aesthetically and with its roster in 1996-2004. That feeling was never matched again, despite the company putting out quality matches and rivalries afterwards. The roughest patch was 2010-2022. That's very general and does not apply to (most) of the NXT division, but that's when the company began to get stale and watered down. Once competition had died for a while, they put less effort into the programming, and it shows - the best stuff - the Summer of Punk, the Yes movement - were spun from crowd frustration. Once Vince departed from the creative side, there was a dramatic improvement with all his silly rules gone and a better work environment. It's still far from perfect; the wrong people are getting pushed right now, and those with potential have been held back a little. Still, I continue to follow WWE, especially now, because of its more consistent quality. EDIT: So, since the Main Event of Mania 41, Sunday things have gone downhill, with the blame generally going to TKO, whereas it was originally directed toward Triple H. Whoever is more responsible for the decline in the product is very obvious from a business model standpoint, the main complaints being the cartoonishly expensive tickets that only Mr Burns and Scrooge McDuck can afford, with going broke and the constant advertising. It also breaks my heart that instead of Aleister Black returning to the main event scene, we got Pat McAfee due to out-of-touch billionaires who still think that Dwayne Johnson is on top of the world. Hopefully, their loss of money will convince them to stop tampering with the product. ****** Golden Age (1985-1993): 6/10 / New Gen I (1993-1996): 4/10 / New Gen II (1996-1997, KOTR to Bad Blood): 7/10 / Attitude Era I (1997-1999, Survivor Series to Russo's departure): 7/10 / Attitude Era II (1999-2002, Survivor Series to Get the F out): 8/10 / Ruth Agg I (2002-2004, up until WM XX where the 'vanilla midgets' win titles and Ross retires from talent relations): 8/10 / Ruth Agg II (2004-2010, up to WrestleMania 26, where Ruth Agg talent either retires, departs or goes part time): 8/10 / PG: 2010-2014 (Up until 2014) / Reality Era (2014-2016, up until the second brand split): 6/10 / New Era (2016- 2020, up until the pandemic): 5/10 / Pandemic Era (2020-2021): 5/10 / 'I Can't Think of a Name' Era (2021-2025): 7/10 / Ruthless Depression (2025-Now, begins as soon as Travis Scott appears in frame): 3/10 ******"

[2.0] "The WWE is the oldest major wrestling organization in America, and has historically been decent. However, as of late, their booking, shows, and talent have been weak. WWE suffers from a similar problem to AEW in that their rosters are incredibly bloated, meaning very little focus can convincingly be given to new talent to help them get over. They have around 3 different developmental programs (WWE ID, Evolve, and NXT), all of which have failed to produce a credible star. Their apparent insistence on doing Crown Jewel despite the airport in Riyadh having been hit by Iranian drones multiple times in the past week, is probably the most insane thing they've done wrong. I have to give WWE a lower score than AEW because its corporate leadership means it'll be hard if not impossible for any of them to come to a decision that can bring the promotion back to its former glory and start putting more fans in the seats."

The product constantly reels fans in with the promise of Black & Gold-level workrate, Attitude Era edge, and peak "cinema, " only to completely underdeliver at almost every opportunity. Looking back at a full calendar year of Premium Live Events, we have walked away with maybe a single genuinely great show. On a roster loaded with world-class talent, playing it safe to this degree should be grounds for serious criticism. Instead, endless slow-burn teases are used to mask formulaic, sanitized television. WWE is heading in an alarming direction. Settling for this as the absolute gold standard of professional wrestling lowers the bar for what the industry can be, and anyone satisfied with this output needs to re-evaluate what high-level wrestling entertainment actually looks like."

I do not care what everyone else has to say I wanted to give it a shot but no way in hell do you managed to fumble talent let alone bury them for shitter wrestlers."

[4.0] "The vanilla of professional wrestling. You will never get too much but you sometimes get too little. World Wrestling Entertainment has never been close to perfect, even at its highest highs is still the same company that will turn around and have some of the worst business decisions ever. Vince McMahon created a massive empire that is doomed to fail. Vince killed the territories when his father said not too. Bruno was a star not made by Vince, Hulk Hogan was already a name and used "Patriotism" to make the biggest star of the 80s, Stone Cold, who would be a big star regardless, Vince stumbled into Stone Cold and created the buzz of the late 90s, never followed up when his biggest stars left, leaving us with the boring "PG era", which is some of the worst things a wrestling promoter has ever produced. So many scandals that can't ruin their image, cause its already "too big to break". Vince has ruined wrestling in so many ways. RAW and SMACKDOWN are so low that if you don't tune in, you don't miss most besides boring written segments and forgettable matches for sponsors from TKO. Oh god, TKO has turned this company into even a worse version of itself. The "2021-2024" era of WWE will be remembered as its last ditch effect to claim the throne of professional wrestling, it was almost like we got carried away, we took it for granted cause we didn't know what would come after. WWE has done so many bad things for wrestling while almost not caring about what they leave behind. WWE is no longer the "end all, be all" and that's a good thing for professional wrestling. NXT in 2016-2019 was the only save and grace the company had, almost beating the weekly shows in quality every week. If you can, go explore all forms of professional wrestling and leave this one behind. A company that has no respect for its workers and audience don't deserve to be this big. Enjoy your kiddie segments and very occasional one-off great matches that you can catch on a later watch instead of forcing yourself to watch every week."

"I used to love WWE, but in hindsight, most of the past 25 years are filled with what ifs. Not to mention the TKO corporate machine that has sucked the already very limited rest of genuine heart and soul out of the company. Not that the sex pest Vince McMahon with all his weird rules and his hatred for everything pro wrestling hadn't already done a really good job of that before TKO was a thing. Today, it's a cult, you can't be the Voice of the Voiceless unless you sucked some blood money covered Saudi d**k, and its a cog in the big bad fascist machine of America to top it all off. WWE is not getting my money anymore, not getting my clicks on social media, not getting my views on Netflix anymore. And I became a fan in the very early-90s and went to great lengths at a time when that wasn't all that easy before the internet. F WWE!"

Booking is inconsistent, with bloated 3-hour shows that waste a ridiculously talented roster. While pushing part-timers and safe, predictable choices over new stars. Overpriced ticket prices are driving real wrestling fans away, and constant last-minute rewrites just show that corporate profits matter way more to them than logical, long-term booking. WWE is currently run like a cold, profit-driven media brand, not a pro wrestling promotion. I'm really suprised they manage that to return to 2019 level and even WORSE than that. After Years of watching I'm stopping watching WWE now, goodbye."

WWE is a cancer to this business, they are funded by Saudi Arabia which violate human rights by using slave labor to build their venues & have did treacherous things in their history. WWE is a MAGA company. They are a far-right wing federation being supported & funded by the worst people running this planet. Vince McMahon has countless allegations to his name, Triple H runs this company & cheated on the late great Chyna in order to gain power in this business with Stephanie McMahon. It's unfortunate & depressing with what this company has come to. I completely refused to give my several hours a week to NXT, SmackDown, RAW, & Evolve every week after SummerSlam Sunday. I, as of today, am no longer even going to watch anything WWWF/WWF/WWECW ever again in my entire life & that's a shoot. They have resorted to moving to Rumble, a far right streaming platform for extremists & that was the last straw. Yes, I will not even support Attitude Era matches or shows anymore, I am completely separating myself & my life from this company & vow to never discuss or to talk about any of their current wrestlers any more. WWE is severely depression/anhedonia-inducing & it's just like man, just why. Good riddance & stay on that side far far away from us."

[3.0] "I have a funny way to have experienced WWE. When I was first curious about the concept of pro wrestling in late 2020, I watched the first episode of AEW Dynamite and went "alright, you've got my attention" and immediately had to stop because episode 2 was missing. So, to figure out why John Cena was hated, I decided to get some background, and so I had a big batch of RAW and Smackdown episodes I started working my way through, just a random needle drop in 1999. I was mesmerized for a full year, year and a half of TV. And then I got distracted doing other things after I decided 4 hours a week and a pay per view or two a month was too much to screw around with to catch up with for 20 years. Few years later, I remember wrestling existed and started watching AEW and, simultaneously, all the Undertaker Wrestlemanias. It's a wild way to work your way from Wrestlemania VII to the present. Nothing ages quite like 80s WWE. But things perked up for the late 90s, the 2000s, even the 2010s had a lot going for it. I also became aware of Roman Reigns's 2020s resurgence, so, as soon as I was done with the Wrestlemania of 2020, I started watching every (non-NXT) pay per view starting with his return. It was that good! But then fortunes started to change for WWE, pretty much as soon as Cody won the big one. The advertising got more obnoxious, the sidelining of great wrestlers got more frequent. It was a shocking drop in quality, while AEW dragged itself back up from a franchise low. I went from watching every PLE and the odd RAW/Smackdown to just PLEs with good matches to just Wrestlemania to jack squat. I think in the end the "house style" of WWE doesn't appeal to me - the best of their (modern) matches as rated here don't gel with me. That, along with the 40/60 split of wrestling to in-show ads on their PLEs, the historical mishandling of the women's division, the drug problems, the insane work schedule of their athletes historically and even today (though much improved), the union busting, the Saudi sportwashing compliance, the destruction of the old landscape of wrestling, the various ways they mismanage the rosters in general year to year, the various sex crimes allegations over the decades, and, oh, let's just end with AAA and TNA getting fingered by TKO, I think a 4 might be a generous rating. I'll go with 3. Y'know. Because they're so influential."

Whether it's the lack of new talent getting opportunities and insisting on the same people over and over again, or how insultingly bad storylines have gotten. There was a faint glimmer of hope towards the end of Cena's career, but even that they somehow managed to fumble had they let him do the dates he wanted. This is now the biggest issue, playing it safe instead of interesting. The crowd wants to see wrestling, not slideshows of an AI generated gingerbread man. How anything that abhorrent can make it past creative is nothing short of disgusting. The whole product is now borderline unwatchable ever since TKO took over."

The late 2010's made me quit watching and I came back only to see John Cena's final matches. While following Cena's matches I noticed the booking and storylines are so boring. I know the whole premise of WWE is sports entertainment. Even if you can't give us good storylines, atleast give us some good fucking wrestling for crying out loud. Not pushing wrestlers who clearly have the talent like Gargano and Bálor and turing superstars into mid carders like Shinsuke Nakamura who rarely makes it on TV. The only reason I'm watching is because of CM Punk (even though people call him a hypocrite nowadays) and Randy. After Randy retires I am done with this company."

I don't know what has happened, look at WWE in the late 90's and 00's, hell, even some of the 10's. But recently the main product has been near completely unwatchable. The storylines are absolute garbage, the actual wrestling is okay at best on most week. Almost every episode of Raw & SD are almost carbon copies of the previous weeks, apart from a few different boring segments. NXT is the shining star in this shitty company. If you're looking for a promotion with interesting storylines check out Lucha Underground or Major League Wrestling. If you want great matches check out New Japan, Ring Of Honor, Dragon Gate, CMLL, NOAH, Progress, etc. Edit (2021): I barely feel that NXT nowadays can even keep this trash above 0. The dumb booking and confusing stuff on mainly RAW is KILLING this company. If WWE didn't have a billionaire and the legacy they would be crippling at the current moment."

In an ideal world, both aew and wwe would be good. Who would not want to have two amazing products to watch week by week? Unfortunately, wwe has been lagging behind. They will still produce a solid match or moment from time to time, but the interest is not there the way it is for other companies right now."

Their weekly shows tend to be very dull (especially SmackDown), with storylines revolving around only three or four wrestlers. The matches themselves are often quite poor and disappointing, which is a shame given that WWE boasts a massive roster full of talented wrestlers."

It does have serious characters as well but it is a lot more kid-friendly than other promotions. It's also good for the casual viewers who may not want to watch every single week because there may not be storyline progression each week. If you're looking for strong match quality though, this is *not* the promotion for you, the matches are a bit of an afterthought.. they care more about the storyline being "good" and if the payoff match happens to be good it's just a bonus. Really not a fan how they treat their tag team division at all, tag team wrestling is amazing and can produce amazing TV if taken seriously and given the chance to shine. WWE had many good teams on their roster about a year or two ago but they managed to screw it up by giving the titles to the Wyatts (who barely ever wrestled, despite Lumis and Gacy being a very solid team) and the MFTs. Also something that I constantly criticize and hope they would fix, is the commentary teams and the ring announcers who in my opinion are some of the weakest in the world of pro wrestling. They have desecrated the ring mat with ads as well. Their shows used to have some life but in the last two years it feels like it has been sucked out. And what completely dissuades me from being a full-time fan on top of everything I've mentioned, is WWE's incredibly tribalistic fanbase that really ruin the experience for many viewers."

However, the monopoly they created in 2001, and more so the product they produced after acquiring all mainstream competion fell so absurdly quickly in 2001-2002 that it turned me away from wrestling for 20 years. Despite this history, they managed to once again pique my interest during the build up to Wrestlemania 39 which i casually watched, but much more so WM40. While there were clearly warning signs of past tendencies still present, and mega corp TKO influence looming...that build from RR to WM40 re sparked my inner wrestling fandom again. By Summer Slam. mere months later the product had already showed significant drops in quality in both matches, storylines, and the clear intent to sell every and any possible thing to any advertiser willing to pay for it. By the time Survivor Series rolled around and it felt like the exact same tv format leading to the same ple format, rinse and repeat as a holding pattern until Mania season to reboot or complete storylines. I went from watching every ple and every tv program to only ple, to now only the big ple unless there is a match that garners my interest, and even with these lower expectations WWE still manages to consistently disappoint. I check in on the weekly shows from time to time, and they almost seem like a mockery of what I watched just 2 years ago. My taste may have changed, but nowhere near as much as the product they put on has in this short timeframe. This is without even touching on various corporate actions, pricing, treatment of talent, or political associations. I'd say do better, but unless that order comes from TKO, I doubt that will happen any time soon."

Just terrible. Moreover, everything is getting more and more repetitive same things week after week, the current women's champion is a JOKE. It is basically everyone's first introduction to wrestling and makes them fall in love with it. With the controversy, with the problems, its made a lot of famous wrestling moments and while AEW, WCW, and TNA tried to take over it as the top brand, there's a reason why WWE stayed at number 1. It may not be good wrestling, but its the wrestling that will last forever whether we like it or not. Me personally though, I like it. 10/10 Edit (8/25/2026) (almost 2 years later) WWE has declined since the joint company TKO happened, AI has become more rampant in its production, star wrestlers are getting nothing shown for them, ad breaks last over a half of the show, and most of all, everything just looks so brainrotted. People like Danhausen and Joe Hendry are used for their entertainment value way too much which left people like the New Day and Ilja Dragunov on the sidelines to ask for their release. The future has not been set yet as the world champions are still the same from 2014 era. Everything now just seems like a money grab and that isn't what pro wrestling is to a lot of people, myself included. Will I stop watching, for sure not because of the likes of Oba Femi, Penta, Gable, Jevon Evans, and even NXT Talent like Kendall, EK Prosper, and ZARIA. The company has been going downhill ever since then, though for awhile it was still fun to keep up with, and I still cared to some extent. Many thought things would change when Vince got ousted, but funnily enough they just became astronomically worse. It's not so much the fault of the roster. WWE still has arguably the most talented roster in the world, and the match quality overall is still way higher than it used to be. But that special atmosphere of past generations seems to have been lost entirely. Nothing is believable now, the storylines are trash, and TKO seems to be making every effort to butcher things even more. The random celebrities getting involved in storylines constantly now is so stupid, but really just a symptom of this rotting brand. While they've had some amazing moments and matches, some insane rosters and are undoubtedly the biggest company around they're a long, long way from the best. The product in so many years has been nearly impossibly awful, there's a lot of revisionism about the Ruthless Agression Era but most of it was terrible, the whole PG Era was atrocious, whichever Era it was when main event matches just became spamming finishers and nothing else would be the worst of the lot, and this current Triple H era after a promising start is possibly the most creatively bankrupt and boring of all. Remarkable lack of consistent quality across the years because the golden years, New Generation etc aren't all that watchable either and several years of the Attitude Era have aged extremely poorly and the actual wrestling was atrocious in the 90s. For me they got it right in 2000 and early 2001 and never got it back. WWE have overall had an extremely negative effect on the industry when you look at their desperation for a monopoly and their brainwashing of fans into thinking the WWE way of doing things is the only way along with teaching them to hate wrestling on their wrestling shows. I also have absolutely no time for their political side, their links with Saudi etc, the ads have started to make shows close to completely unwatchable and ugly titles, misery booking, refusal to push talent that are over, generic theme songs and bad commentary have plagued the product for years. A bad company ran by bad people."

Before I start, I want to make it clear that I don't consider myself a supporter of promotions as I think that support should be directed towards the talent no matter what, tribalism is lame. Positives: Likely turned a lot of people on to professional wrestling (yours truly being one), has given us great PPVs, matches, wrestlers, etc., I usually get excited every year for WrestleMania season, high quality budget, an easy entry for people who are new to wrestling, the 1980s Hogan Era is fun for it's aesthetics and moments, 1997 and 2000 are the companies best years, the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression era (for all it's flaws) were great eras, WWE's renaissance in 2022 - 2024 was amazing, they got nice documentary specials, the WWE Network was great, they've had some of the best wrestling games back in the 2000s, (I'm sure there's more and I'm bound to update this comment whenever I got anything else to say). Negatives: The New Generation era was pretty bad, the PG era was awful, 1995 is the companies worst year along with 2010, 2018-2019, tries too hard to appeal to casuals to the point of forgetting their a wrestling show, Vince McMahon became a terrible booker and promoter since the end of the Monday Night Wars, TKO buying out the company was a HORRIBLE move, "sports entertainment, " the desperation of chasing viral moments and social media clicks than being a good show with good storytelling (as they falsely advertise themselves as), a super lengthy history of horrible tactics and practices ranging from poor treatment to bigotry to exploitation that are so lengthy that a movie of it would be longer than The Lord Of The Rings expanded editions, etc. There's a whole lot to say about WWE, but I'll leave it here and might expand on more later once I have more to add. Current thoughts: I have now resorted to watching highlights from the promotion as I feel the company has been on a downward spiral since 2025, I can't say I'm very happy with the company and it's directions it's going, in general. I truly hope WWE gets better in the future since I hate to see the biggest promotion in the world be so unwatchable when just a few years ago, it was amazing."

They may still be works in progress, but they try harder, take bigger risks, and get better booking in NXT. I went to Wrestlemania 1. It was a bad card. As an old-schooler checking out the new scene: I like how wrestling has absorbed elements of MMA, reality TV, and Lucha Libre. Everybody be jumping off the top rope, though, and it just isn't special anymore. I get excited now when I see a chin lock. Rest holds can be made into crowd moments, I have seen it with mine own eyes. Some of the new DDT and cutter moves don't look convincing to me. I never liked the swinging neck-breaker, either. Commercials during matches are an abomination. Live matches always had better pacing. I saw them at the LA Sports Arena. Got to see Brett Hart before he was the Hitman in a tag team with David Sammartino. Best live match: Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage. Why does WWE not announce the weight of women wrestlers? And it's damn shame too because most of their wrestlers can actually wrestle while some others like Jey Uso, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Chelsea Green, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Roman Reigns are the only wrestlers who are either been seen getting a push or winning the belts that they shouldn't have won, though some can wrestle, it was very oversaturated for the same people like Rhodes, Ripley, Morgan, Punk, and Reigns to hold the main event belt. The ring works for the wrestlers are really really slow to th epoint even turtles can walk faster than them all because they want the fans to notice everything even though fans only care about the wrestler's characters and not the wrestling (which is understandable but you have to mention that wrestling is literally the #1 priority). Not to mention how shitty booking/creative is- holy shit, they act like they're WCW. Ripley is currently injured but her belt won't be vacated because she is so god damn protected, Dominik when he was the IC champ didn't vacate it as well whilst being injured, and the booking of the women's champs holding women's belt like Stephanie (who is getting repeatedly booked against either Nikki or Raquel.), IYO (they stopped booking her the last two months of her reign), Tiffany Stratton (she lost momentum), Giulia (they just kept on repeating of not booking her whenever he popularity is starting to gain, which is making her look bad and to the wwe fans make her seem like shes a weak one.) and the ironic vignettes of wrestlers not debuting until further notice which is what blake monroe/mariah may had been suffering from. Also the theme songs for wrestlers are shitty man, just actually pay people and also THEY USE FUCKING AI FOR THEIR GRAPHIC POSTERS AND VIGNETTES AND SCRIPTED PROMOS AS WELL LIKE HOW CAN YOU BE A BILLIONAIRE COMPANY TO JUST SO YOU CAN CUT CORNERS ALL BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANNA HIRE A FUCKING GRAPHIC DESIGNER/VIDEO DESIGNER AND ACTUALLY PAID THEM TO DO THE WORK FOR YOU?"

WWE does a very deft job handling this. Their presentation is grand, showy, and they do a lot to cater to all ages and casual viewers. Their place as *the* wrestling brand allows them incredible consistency in some areas, such as constantly pushing top talent in big stories that feels larger than life, allowing their women's division to maintain top support, and having a constant rotation of wrestlers being moved from it's developmental brands to keep things fresh. Unfortunately, WWE's constant dedication to showsmanship is very much its undoing, because they believe showsmanship and wrestling are seperate. Coming from someone with a athletic background and who admires the athletics of pro wrestling, WWE's shows can be too long with very little physical action and every single quirk of live entertainment that paints WWE as a unique sport, but with also the infinite greed a sport can embody: shows are bloated or just unnecessary to the overall watching experience, advertisements and ads are baked into the brand, constant over-the-top commentary, and stories that are designed for engagement but very little thought are just some of it's structural problems. WWE's culture outside the ring is also unfortunately incredibly jarring for someone who wants to engage the hobby of watching pro wrestling in a healthy manner; From no small amount of controversy that can range from management to the wrestlers themselves, and WWE's 'showsmanship' translating to cold hard captialism outside the shows affecting pro wrestling as a whole. At the end of the day, whatever positive and negatives there are, there are some extremely harsh negatives that stand out. It can be outright boring, it is a product that rewards you LESS the more you become invested into it, and it's general culture and fandom can be extremely off-putting. Great for watercooler talk. Anything past that requires a lot of compromise, and the best thing WWE has done is make me realize no amount of engagement with the hobby is worth that compromise."

I had my gripes that they were pretty stubborn still with booking and not giving into what the crowd thought was hot at the time. And here we are again. New boss same as the old boss. WWE has always been very corporate wrestling, which was fine, but the last year has really become inexcusable. Had I written this review in 2024 or early 2025, I might've gone as far to bump up my rating to an 8, maybe a 9 if I really felt generous at the time. It's become so profit driven and focusing on engagements rather than putting on compelling stories. To be fair to them, you'll still find some genuine gems and as of writing, they've got a batch of really promising talent. The only problem is they aren't doing anything with them. Back in the 2010s, people griped about part-timers reigning supreme and holding belts. Now you've got the main talent, faces of the company, holding belts hostage, rarely wrestling on TV if at all or not even around for weeks at a time. Even the weekly champions only hold the belts as props. The main event scene as of today is the same as it was 2 years ago. They build up these new, fresh faces just for an established vet to beat them and then push them back down. And I'm not oblivious to the fact that wrestling has always been secondary in WWE, but it really has only gotten worse in favor of shoehorning as many ads as humanly possible or an overbooked nightmare. Again, still some great matches to be found, but it isn't rewarded. A company with such a rich history, but these great years get amplified and revered so much because there are a lot of bad times and those years are all you can hold onto."

[6.0] "The overall story of the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment is one of being reactive rather than proactive. Rarely if ever has the company ever revolutionized or put forth wholly original concepts. Such has even been admitted by various backstage hands and producers over the many decades of it's existence. At best, the WWF/E has taken what others have done and subsumed and molded such to the brand's ideals on sports entertainment and their presentation of it. Usually, this results in a watered down presentation of what it's taken inspiration (or just wholesale taking) from at worst, and at best is just transferring it over with no real significant change. There's very rarely any innovation to be found from most of the WWF/E's history in my opinion and because of that the entire thing can be looked at as a sort of malaise once you're like me and start really branching yourself out of it's mainstream stranglehold bubble. Even though the eras of the WWF/E certainly feel different in their own right from the Golden Era, to the New Generation, to the Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression, PG, etc;. However, what the WWF/E has innovated in is one main aspect. Presentation. The company was built practically with the intent to be mainstream, to become a "show" based around wrestling and inject itself into the collective pop culture of America, and later the world, and to create the most digestible form of pro wrestling their can be (weird convictions and whims of Vince McMahon notwithstanding). It's because of this that so much of the WWF/E, while not innovative, has been inspiring for so many at both the lowest and highest levels of the profession at one time or another. Not to mention pertaining to different styles and eras associated with there in. The pomp and mythic statuses of the Golden Era where everyone was a Saturday Morning cartoon superhero or supervillain, the New Generation's silliness and goofy gimmicks that emphasized a strange but fun atmosphere that could underline a brutal sport that shone through everyone once in a while, the Attitude Era's rebelliousness and penchant for all black ring wear (or just jeans) and hardcore trashiness, the Ruthless Aggression work rate and ability to mix new and older school styles, the PG era's limitations from it's rating change requiring an entire switch in thought on what is needed from a match to entertain, and the newer Reality and New eras which had a focus on connecting with audiences outside of wrestling and also a focus on the ideals of long term storytelling above all else. The execution of each era's ideals was never all encompassing or at all successful in following such every time, but they were in focus enough and by the nature of being the number one dominating company for so long each era would come to define an era of a certain type of fan of wrestling which continually changed and evolved, and in turn which the WWF/E has adapted to. I don't think I could ever rate the WWF/E that high. It's sheer size, corporate bureaucracy in the way of creative, sleazy capitalistic tendencies over the art of wrestling (Vince famously saying he wishes he wasn't booking wrestling but just a general show, and the current new TKO owners not really inspiring confidence that they cared much any more than Vince), and it's strict adherence to a formula of wrestling that both largely didn't care about the actual wrestling and also actively stifles it at every turn doesn't allow for it to be rated highly to me. If anything any amazing things to come from WWF/E frequently feels like a happy accident than anything truly born with an intent to inspire. But again, by the nature of it's sheer size and longevity; and by nature of it's intended digestibility, it still does have many matches, moments, stories, and characters that have entertained and inspired not just me but many others. I'm not totally negative on it as a promotion, even if at the end of the day I think it has been a net negative on the industry of wrestling on the whole within its history."

[1.0] "WWE feels more like a giant corporate brand than a wrestling company. Shows are packed with ads and sponsorships, the Saudi Arabia deals are pure cash grabs, and celebrities get more attention than actual wrestlers. The wrestling itself is slow, over-scripted, and repetitive, and above all else boring. Loads of talented wrestlers are wasted or barely used properly. The allegations around Vince McMahon disgust me. Brock Lesnar is still being pushed despite being linked to abhorrent behaviour. WWE sold its soul for money and corporate image. If for some reason anyone is reading this, please watch any of Stardom, AEW, CMLL, AJPW, NJPW, TJPW, Mystery Wrestling, Rev Pro, any of your local indies. WWE is pro wrestling for Disney adults - Support REAL wrestling."

"WWE, the greatest professional wrestling company of all time, people won't agree with that but it is, no doubt about it, just gotta be straightforward and honest, they are, 100%."

Thank you NXT Black & Gold you carried this company for years, and now even if it's not what it used to be NXT still is carrying the company. Honestly, the main roster has just became TKO World Entertainment with some wrestling in it but not much. If you really love pro wrestling, move along, there are other companies that currently offer pro wrestling, but that's no longer the case with WWE. The years 2000 are very loooong gone."

[2.0] "I can no longer objectively rate this company from a wrestling perspective. This rating reflects the entertainment entity that the WWE has become. This is a company that shows time and again that they will do everything they can to monopolize the industry and culturally sanitize and neuter everything that is not in the universe. TKO will be taking up space on 4 of the biggest network and streaming platforms in 2026. And now we are talking about in match ads at PLEs? Trying to get in with the NFL/ESPN/UFC set is silly. Stephen A. Smith will not move any needle for WWE. When WWE works, it's because it exists in the fantastical world of wrestling. Sports fans don't watch UFC or the NFL for characters or worked matches, they tune in because it's a competition. They fundamentally exist in completely different realms than wrestling. TKO is too big. This is not good for entertainment, wrestling, streaming, nor the consumer. I was a huge fan because the network made everything accessible for a low cost. The black and gold era of NXT was my favorite modern era for wrestling. Ciampa vs Gargano was my favorite modern feud for years. That magic is entirely dead. It's wild that the same guy in charge of black and gold is completely lost with the main roster. I watched WWE because it was fun, convenient and relatively cheap. It's now more than doubled the original price, requires multiple streaming services and has no magic. I don't need to be a part of it anymore."

The attitude-ruthless agression eras + 2022-2024 is some of the greatest pro wrestling you will ever watch, and even though there may be some low points, nothing can ever come close to WWE."

If it wasn't for their rich history this would be a 0 as the recent Wrestlemania event was one of the saddest things I have ever seen in my life and that wasn't even their worst show of 2026. Constant forced celebrity involvement, commercials after literally every single match on PLEs (worst part out of all my issues) and dire storytelling, the company is sadly dead. They may be making money due to the TKO deal and Saudi Arabian blood money but that cannot last forever...I truly fear for the future of WWE because one more year of this product and they may be in serious trouble. Recent events like Rey Mysterio losing an eye, Zombies being used on the show, the disgusting releases of loyal workers like R Truth and the New Day show how painfully out of touch they have become, WWE need to wake up and they need to wake up right now!"
