[2.0] "It's basically the same game as WWF WrestleMania, but with worse gameplay and poorly aged graphics. The gameplay is clunky, stiff, and finicky, and is worse than WWF WrestleMania in every way. The few 'additions' either don't add anything of value (the finisher system) or make the game worse (the power-ups). No new game modes were added either. The sprites of the wrestlers look like low-quality Mortal Kombat rip-offs, and the animations often look only half-done. The unique arenas are a nice touch, though. The roster is slightly bigger and the audio is better, but I'd expect that from a sequel, and they aren't nearly enough to save this trainwreck. I know a 2/10 seems harsh, but this game did not justify its existence and provides no value to the player. There is literally no reason to play this when WWF WrestleMania (or Mortal Kombat for that matter) exists."

[2.0] "This is, in essence, a complete 180 reversal of WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game. It's slow, it's ugly, the controls are stiff and clunky, the backgrounds (while admittedly varied this time) are pretty odd and rather un-wrestling-y... it's just not much fun to play. Of the eight characters from the previous game only three make a return, and they too feel like downgrades. That's this game in one word: downgrade. It seems like the people who made it wanted to deliver a good game, but just didn't know how - which is a shame, because there was a lot of potential and some room for improvement in WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game. Sadly, all this potential was wasted and, to the best of my knowledge, no other wrestling game since has attempted a similar style of gameplay."
