"This will go down as the last good wwe triple-a title for a long time. Can be frustrating at times, but with the level of customization and access to amazing community content, it's a lot of Fun"

[8.0] "WWE 2K19 is one of the best 2K wrestling games ever made. It's 2025 and from time to time I hop back on just to play a few matches. The menus were pretty good and creative and gives me hints of nostalgia. Graphic-wise it isn't the best if you compared it to the NBA 2K games it was obvious WWE games were taking a huge backseat. CAWs were horrid to say the least. MyPlayer was one of the best we got in years. I feel like to this day it hasn't been topped. Universe was still playable and fun at this point and this one introduced some things. Showcase was pretty forgettable, not bad but still. Most match types were pretty limited and bare bones. Still a damn good game to this day. [****1/4]"

[9.0] "Is it the best 2K game? Absolutely! Is it the best wrestling game of all time? Not really, but its in my top five favorite wrestling games! WWE 2K19 manages to improve the gameplay and visuals from 2K18. On top that, the modes are actually worthwhile and bring in some replayability which is a rare occurrence in this franchise. The towers mode is a great idea and I wish 2K brought that back, MyCareer felt like a long Road to WrestleMania story which is not bad at all, and the creation suite was at its peak! The only negative however, is the online servers. I played this game a lot with friends back in the day and the servers would crash at the drop of a dime. Despite that, the game is absolutely amazing!"

[9.0] "The last and best game released during WWE's wrestling monopoly. The roster will never be topped as this was the last game released before AEW contracts stopped people from appearing in games. Most notably, this stopped Sting, Jericho, Ambrose and Bryan from making it into 2K22, the next good WWE game. This game marked a turning point for MyCareer mode as well, giving us a well written original story mode similar to Road To Wrestlemania, unlike the previous offerings that were similar to Universe mode."

I'd do anything to get chain wrestling back in 2K23 and a bunch of other random moves that got removed once 2K22 came around. Making CAWs was really fun, and even had a great soundtrack. I'll be honest, I almost cry when I think about how fun this game was before Community Creations went down."

[10.0] "WWE 2K19 to this date is the greatest Wrestling video game of all time IMO. Some say the game is similar to 2K16-2K18 but I always felt that the games should be everything great the last game was and more. In this game you can have any style of match. Everything from a Wrestlemania/NXT Takeover epic, to a Squash match, to a basic TV bout. It's got great mechanics like the systems for Pins and Submissions and the choice of Unlimited Reversals or Reversal Stocks. The Payback mechanic was introduced which really improved the gameplay compared to 2K16-2K18. Weak Strikes were really focused on this year with a majority of them being reanimated and new selling. The Immoveable Object ability was improved with very well done spliced animations. Although not new, the general controls and moveset layouts in this game are pretty much perfect; one of the best parts is the fact the grapple moves can be performed with lunges (you don't need to enter a grapple state with a Collar and Elbow tie up for example). The Skills and Abilities categories in general help make the Wrestlers act the way they should. The A.I can really put up a great match and at times be quite aggressive no matter if they are facing an actual player or not. The Creation Suite is still the best. Not only can you morph faces, but also the bodies which is something that has unfortunately been neglected in 2K22 and 2K23. This game also features more material options than 20/22/23. The MyCareer is actually worth playing for the first time ever. It's a linear story. but there's at least a lot of cutscenes and voice acting. Truly more of a Story Mode. Cheesy at times but still pretty decent. Universe Mode is pretty great but there's still a lot of changes needed to this mode to this day. The new MITB system is intergraded through the mode so Custom Briefcases and new cash in animations and choices are here. I am sad to see the combination of Yuke's, Visual Concepts and 2K working together go. I feel that Visual Concepts developing the series by themselves seems to be getting better every new release but this game is almost 5 years old and it's still my go to. They need to look at 2K19's Grappling, Character Stances and CAW Mode Body Morphing for inspiration."

[10.0] "I've clocked in over 1000 hours on this game on my Xbox One. To this day I'm still discovering new glitches and fun little tidbits about the game. I'm a little biased towards this one since it has my favorite wrestler AJ Styles as the cover of it, but I disgress, this game really has it all. A fun and unpredictable universe mode (though it does have its annoying quirks and I wish it gave you slightly more control over feuds and storylines), the most realistic gameplay you can get from a wrestling game, endless content because community creations have been kept up for so long after 2K20 bombed, and a neat little showcase mode of one of WWE's best former wrestlers of the past decade in Bryan. Whether it was booking my own promotion vs WWE vs AEW in Universe Mode while using a spreadsheet, or playing countless custom matches in Play Mode, or even the house I clocked into the surprisingly fun (albeit a little short) career mode, I've had fun (and a bit of ragequitting, ok A LOT), and this game gave me an outlet for a long time for my wrestling ideas and desires. This game freaking rocks, simply put, you owe yourself to give it a try and see what a real wrestling simulation game should play like."

I give it a 9 because they could have added some mode back then since the game is so good. Not to mention that the showcase is entertaining and the universe mode is more realistic than in the rest of the games, it will be impossible to forget and comment in the future how good it was."

A fairly complete universe mode and almost no bug, besides that I have never had an error that took me out of the game, it is very entertaining and the creation of caws is the best there has been in video games so far."

[8.0] "The best WWE game to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One. It has so many features and a massive roster, with even more in the community creations ranging from fictional characters to other real wrestlers not included in the game. I would 100% choose this game over any other 2K game (except 2K14, but that was actually THQ). Some features of the game could've been improved/worked on some more but I cannot complain for what it is."

[7.0] "WWE 2K19 is a good game but, something is missing to it. The gameplay is an improvement over the past 2K games as its more fast paced. The 2K Showcase was really good but, I feel like there could've been more to it like some more important matches from Daniel Bryan's career. The roster is ok, it's missing wrestlers like Tommaso Ciampa and Nikki Cross who were in 2K18 but it has a huge variety of legends and current wrestlers. The MyCareer mode was really good but it felt like a Road to Wrestlemania than a career mode as it was more story based with little to no options. Universe mode was extremely boring as it was the same old stuff from the previous game except for some new minor features. Towers mode was fun but only the Million Dollar tower felt rewarding as it was a challenge. Overall, a good game that could've been better."
Antonio AKA Zotany wrote on 29.09.2019:
[7.0] "It has a good number of modes, but 2K need to add more details to them. Showcase is good, but it is missing the drama of the past showcases and the entrances. When you play Towers is like you play on Exhibition, they could add something else. Career is the best mode of this game, but of course, it is not perfect. The 2K Universe needs a complete overall, it is almost a waste of time."
TheGorgis309 wrote on 14.03.2019:
[5.0] "Average at best, but nothing feels fresh. The roster is also the worst since 2K15, they removed like half the legends for no reason and I still don't know how Ciampa didn't make it in. OK, but the game feels like it was made very sloppily with very little effort to engage the audience who plays the games every year like myself"
KoolAidCobain wrote on 14.03.2019:
[8.0] "It's much better than 2K18, honestly. That game was a huge glitch fest, but 19 outdid itself. The whole inclusion of custom Money in the Bank briefcases is fun, but it only works when you want to do Universe mode which as always is still really fun but does get kinda boring unless you have custom superstars and belts."

[8.0] "For me this is a major improvement from last year's game, it has many more gamemodes, a new MyPlayer MyCareer, the new towers and the 2K Million Dollar Challenge, smoother gameplay, the new payback system is really fun and also the creation suite this year is awesome and much better, overall i'd give this game a solid 8. 0"
