[7.0] "Better than it has a right to be. Its introduction as Ricochet's comedy heel title put it in a bad starting point, but it's been rising in stock lately. Jack Perry and Mark Davis were great workhorse champions, but Andrade's reign is dragging it up in relevance and the National Championship looks good next to his World Title Shot Contract. If there's no delineation between it and the TNT Championship, it's going to be a little silly watching them trade spots as the best-low-value title, but we've still got a long way before we understand the role the National will play in the company. Also the belt's introduction as a direct descendent of a title that was never deactivated was silly. Forgot about that."
[3.0] "[3.0] A totally unnecessary title which doesn't have any value in the business...AEW must split brand's rosters... place different wrestlers for Dynamite and Collision..and for each show they must have a one world title and one mid-card title ..they have too many titles for mid-card and most of them don't have specific values and this one specifically is the most valueless one"
[7.0] "I was a hater but man this belt gets defended a lot, Mark Davis got to win it which was so cool, and I dunno it's slotted very naturally into its place amongst the midcard. It isn't offensive by any means and is off to a fantastic start lineage wise. Will see where it goes but I like it thusfar."
[5.0] "The most useless title in professional wrestling, the whole concept of it which is to defend not only in the US not only doesn't happen as much as it should but also that was literally the point for the international title as is. It's too many midcard titles & if they so desperately wanted another one it honestly should've just been a cruserweight title. Happy Andrade is champ but he's bigger than this title"
[3.0] "If the rub with this title is that it is defended on the indies, that promise hasn't come to fruition as it had 3 defenses in RevPro and 1 in CMLL. Maybe with a healthier MyAEW ecosystem, we might see this being more of a thing, but they need to do a title change on the indies to avoid feeling like an exhibition match or like when the world title is defended on a house show, i.e., super low stakes because you know it won't change hands. It is now the 5th most important AEW men's singles title, and probably 7th most important men's title, which is bonkers for a company with 5 hours of TV per week. It feels like it was created just so Ricochet had something to do."
[3.0] "I like the concept of a cross-promotional title, especially with AEW's flexible working relationships. However, until there feels like a legitimate threat to the belt outside of AEW's main roster, this will always just feel like a downgraded TV belt to me. Because so far, every cross-promotion defense of the National Title has felt more like an exhibition match."
[6.0] "A functional championship for the mid-card, but with weak storylines. I liked Ricochet's reign because of his matches; Jack Perry seemed to be starting a storyline with that "road trip, " and now Mark Davis has it, he certainly deserved to be crowned with something. So, that's all I can really say about a title that feels like nothing more than a mid-card title. And there's no shortage of mid-card talent in AEW, both wrestlers and titles; there are quite a few."
[9.0] "This championship has a spectacular stupendous nostalgic design, ricochet did a great job lifting this championship value and it's a little reward for the underrated wrestler"
[5.0] "As with the All-Atlantic Championship, the concept of title defenses in other promotions has predictably fallen into disuse, and the championship has simply become another title defended only within the walls of AEW/ROH. It's a shame."
"Remember when this was supposed to be the new title that would be defended in other promotions and continents? It has quickly settled into being yet another mid-card title in AEW with no real point for existing other than to give someone else in the company something shiny. Overall, this is a 1/10 title for me."
