The problem for me is that, while they managed to end up with a 50/50 final, the whole tournament just lacks intrigue in general. Despite being for a midcard belt, C2 feels more prestigious and has more real contenders, which is weird cause Owen has a much grander prize. I guess, if the Owen sticks around, they could improve on that."
[9.0] "The final really cemented this tournament as one of my favourite ever. The way they wove in the Hangman redemption arc into the narrative was perfect and the final match itself was one of the best I have ever watched."
[8.0] "You simply cannot deny the in-ring output the 2025 Men's OHC produced. Ospreay/Takeshita is the current MOTY, and Fletcher and Hangman both had excellent showings. On top of that, Hangman won when Ospreay was the definitive favourite. However, while the final was unpredictable, the road to the final was a tick-box exercise. The ALL IN main event status makes this too high-risk, so there was never a chance of Fletcher, Takeshita, or anyone else even vying for that spot. Therefore, the OHC was actually just a very in-ring-heavy excuse to have a Hangman/Ospreay No. 1 Contenders match. That's not what I look for in wrestling tournaments, but it's what AEW prefer. In that sense, this might go down as the greatest OHC ever."
[10.0] "Perfect booking from start to finish. Every match slapped, and the final is honestly one of the best in AEW history. The blend of storytelling and wrestling was just chef's kiss everything hit. I was a bit skeptical at first about Josh being the wild card, but putting him in the Don Callis Family was a genius move. The tournament winner was absolutely the right call. Easily one of the greatest tournaments ever on American soil"
[10.0] "One of the greatest tournaments that AEW has produced not a bad match at sight I mean this is what happens when accumulate of the greatest roster of all time this should be standard from now on"
[10.0] "Absolutely phenomenal tournament from start to finish, every single match was memorable and the final might just be the greatest AEW match in history."
