[8.0] "Wendy choooo is a very good wrestler, watched her last woman standing match with smiley kylie rae and it impressed me a great deal, huge talent and definitely going to be going places in the next year or so on NXT, and maybe even a little further all going well"
[8.0] "She's definitely NOWHERE bad in my opinion, she's really good in no DQ matches imo and her in-ring skill is very decent. She seems to be really good at playing different gimmicks and it's impressive. Although, I hope I can see her more on TV. I'm not sure why they downgraded her to evolve but I suppose it's because she's helping the talents there"
[7.0] "Honestly thought she worked well as Karen Q in Ring of Honor. The Wendy Choo character is a very weird one that I think she has done her best with. In the ring she has proven that regardless the gimmick she can put on a good match."
[8.0] "Cant believe people write these lies about Wendy. Far from terrible. I think her face character was working very well. She had an unique gimmick. She did an awesome job of coming up with moves that worked with her gimmick and modified them to look as if she was sleeping. Every match she wrestles she does good. On her heel turn they never really explained it but I enjoyed the partnership with Rosemary. The in ring skills and presentation are still there. IMO she shouldve been called up with her face gimmick. She was basically a none cringey version of Bayley."
[5.0] "She's bounced around between a couple different over-the-top characters. Unfortunately, those characters are too odd to be taken seriously, which results in her not being booked. Someone who falls asleep in the ring or a 10, 000 year old magical ninja master simply can't work. I think she's good in the ring, but until she finds a character that can work to some level of reality, she'll spend most of her time on the sidelines."
[4.0] "I'm impressed with her ability to play different characters. I liked the Mei Ying character with Tian Sha. It was much different than anything any other women was doing. The Wendy Choo character was pretty different, too, but they inexplicably made her spooky. I think this ruined her and I've lost interest. She has been in NXT longer than any girl currently but has been relegated to Evolve which isn't a good look for her future."
[3.0] "I think I'm just tired of this. Every time they wheel this girl out with a tweak to her gimmick and it SUCKS. And the matches seem to near always suck. I know she's done good work in the past, but as of right now, it's frustrating to watch. Please cease this!"
[2.0] "Can't say i've watched an enjoyable Wendy Choo match, and I don't think i've ever heard her cut a promo. Wendy also has one of the worst and most boring gimmicks, i'm not sure why they continue it."
[5.0] "I don't get her gimmick. She sleeps? She's a fine worker, but I can't remember a single promo from her. Also, why isn't her finisher a sleeperhold or a GTS?"
[4.0] "Wendy Choo's current gimmick is one of the worst I have ever seen. Compare this to what is happening on RAW with the Wyatt Sicks and it is laughable. It is not her fault but when NXT has one of the best women's division in the world, this character is embarassing."
"The best "chicken sh*t into chicken salad" wrestler in the Women's Division. She has been given bizarre stuff since Day 1 and makes it work whether it's an ancient chinese spirit, a girl who loves naps/is lazy (a take on Orange Cassidy) or the girl who hasn't been sleeping well lately (really, thats it! ). If they don't get her out of NXT hell doing nothing, I think she could be the next Toni Storm: As in ex-WWE performer that turns herself into an AEW treasure."
[9.0] "I find Wendy very entertaining, it took her a while to find the Gimmick that works from Karen Q to Mei Ying to now Wendy. I think she has such great potential to dominate. Looking forward to her match against lola vice and hope she absolutely slaaaays! I can see her on the main roster within the next two years for sure!"
[8.0] "Some wrestlers just have the worst luck and Wendy is unfortunately one of them. Imagine being signed by WWE and then getting injured and out of action 5 months in. You're on the shelf for more than a year, returning with a new supernatural gimmick that's actually slowly getting over, finally getting to wrestle after almost a year in that gimmick, and then having that gimmick dropped almost immediately after because the whole brand you're on is getting a revamp. Imagine then coming back with a "sleepy wrestler in a onesie" gimmick, actually getting it over after 1.5 years, making it to WWE 2K23, and then being sidelined with injury again! The fact that Wendy Choo is still giving her 110% every time she gets in the ring despite everything that's happened in the past 5 years is a testament to her strength of character, passion and drive. Add that to the fact that she's crisp in the ring, wildly charismatic and can make almost any gimmick work? Definitely hoping her injury woes are behind her and that she has a long successful career in WWE."
[10.0] "Karen/Wendy/Mei. No matter the character, the work this girl does will always be impeccable. I've been following since ROH. At that time it was already very good, and now it's only getting better. I hope you have a bright future with the company."
[10.0] "The hate Wendy Choo, (fka Karen Q) gets is so weird and off putting to me. She is a very solid wrestler. Good in the ring, oozes charisma, and can make literally any gimmick work. You may not LIKE said gimmick, but you gotta give her props for playing the roles very well. She's decent on the mic too. I really like her and it's sad that so many people in the wrestling community just don't like fun."
[7.0] "One of the only true highlights of NXT 2.0's women's division. Fun character, and pretty good in the ring. Goes to show that Karen Q knows how to make even the silliest and the worst characters into something consistent and entertaining."
[4.0] "She was not an interesting wrestler in ROH, and she is now even worse off as in NXT she has arguably the worst gimmick going anywhere in the wrestling world today. She is a straight attention span killer and an instant channel changer with that gimmick."
[7.0] "Hugely underrated and one of the few in WOH who actually deserves a push. With Deonna heading to WWE and the Stardom women not used for every show, the only really good talents are her and Tenille Dashwood. Sumie Sakai is past her prime and nothing special. Kelly Klein is so-so. Mandy Leon, Brandi Rhodes and Jenny Rose shouldn't be anywhere near a ring."
[6.0] "I'm a huge fan of Karen Q. In American pro wrestling, it's a rarity to see womens wrestlers working a technical, body targeted style, so it's refreshing to see old school wrestling at work. She also has one of the most brutal looking variations of the Boston Crab today, and knows how to work a crowd (the latter being most important). I haven't heard her on a microphone, so I can't judge in that department. I'm not going to judge her based on her body type, (like prior commenter GrandInquisiter, who tends to judge wrestling quality based on tattoos, body figure, and how attractive women are rather than talent, like the old, misogynistic WWE Divas), but she is definitely a talented woman. It's especially great to see that Ring of Honor has taken notice, and Karen Q broke Kelly Klein's undefeated streak"
[10.0] "Wow, just wow. Everything about her is just perfect. While she is good, she could be great in the next or couple of years. Would be a great addition to any roster, whether it be WWE, GFW, or even LU to be honest. She is extremely talented and I'm glad that ROH sees his. Her look, character, charisma, in-ring skills, and technical ability is just everything!"
