What she did to Act was disgustingly vile and the so called "Ghastly Match" was a nationwide headline (for all the wrong reasons) that almost killed Stardom. Other than that, her in ring work was passable excluding the aforementioned incident, and what she did is unforgivable"

She's the product of blindly following and being brainwashed by a shitty culture that has perverted joshi wrestling through the minds of people like Hatman, Nanae and such. She's not earned forgiveness that's for sure."

I hope that until the end, she'll be reminded of that match, reminded of the assault she inflicted on a fellow wrestler. Shame on her, shame on the industry that continued to make her compete. And the fact that she couldn't wrestle until 2022 is a real scandal, and I wish her nothing more than a well-deserved downfall."

If we don't see her wrestle again we lose nothing and if we do see her again she won't be putting on anything worth checking out. Is good for taking a pin but other than that any other well-trained Joshi is probably 10x more interesting than her."

Completely damaged the Joshi business and nearly killed another individual, essentially ending their career if not for a miracle recovery. People like this shouldn't be near wrestling and it's a shame they repeatedly get second chances. How can you enjoy one of their matches knowing what they did?"

A common reason to dislike her is the Act incident and while that was a truly shameful incident it doesnt take away from her in ring ability for me personally, Her work with Sareee in particular is what really stands out to me as great work and i hope they run another match upon Yoshiko's return"

I think she had some solid promise, but with all the drama that has surrounded her career and lots of stop-and-go wrestling paired with injuries she never fully realized that potential. I do hope the best for her when she does comeback (again), and she's still solidly young so maybe she can develop further. Obviously, The Ghastly Match will forever be a stain on her career but I think people holding it against her to his day are dumb. Act has said multiple times over the last decade that she's forgiven Yoshiko and even hoped Yoshiko would return to wrestling, and it was very clear the other Stardom girls had forgiven her. What she did was wrong, obviously, but holding it against her as a wrestler an entire decade later after the person she hurt has advocated for her is odd."

She's the dumbest one just wanted to show her best through career killing. 0 star can be the best rating for her, especially having the worst match of all time. If that Didn't happen, I might consider watching her career carefully, but the act she done can't be reconsider, I'm sorry but she lost her ability to remain a wrestler for me atleast. (0/10) Isn't too much for her, especially what she had done. Sorry again."

[4.0] "Obviously a tough person to rate due to the incident with Act. After seeing that, I spent many years thinking Yoshiko simply assaulted Act with no cause. But after her 2021 match in Stardom against Mayu, I started thinking about it deeper. I mean, if people like Mayu & the people who actually work in Stardom can forgive her to the extent of allowing her to work with the company, then who am I to be so critical? I still do think Yoshiko was very much in the wrong in that match. But it's not quite as simple as her outright assaulting Act, as Act seemed to be looking for a shoot fight right out of the gate & there was a lot of behind the scenes politics that lead to everything. All that said, the match with Act certainly affects Yoshiko's score in a negative way, but it won't make me go all the way to a 0 rating, which I might have done prior to the 2021 match against Mayu. So beyond the incident, Yoshiko was an important big heel in the early days of Stardom. She was a good power wrestler & a good heel to go against some of the smaller babyfaces."

[2.0] "Solid wrestler but no, we shouldn't just "move on" and forget about the Act incident. What Yoshiko did to her was assault. Literally tried to blind her by targeting her surgically repaired eye. If she was appropriately punished for this then sure, we can "move on". After all she has been incident free ever since. So, what was her punishment exactly? A 1-year break from wrestling before Nanae brings her back into the mix. Is that sufficient? Do you think the courts of Japan would've been as lenient had this happened in a normal setting? No, of course not, and that's why people won't "move on" from it. Justice wasn't served."

Now for the obvious, taking advantage of someone that gives you there body is just down right pathetic, Act trusted her with her body and abused it. Was there other stuff going on, yes, was Yoshiko solely to blame, no. I'm not going to give her a 0 because of something that happened so long ago, also the fact that both parties moved on, nobody died. But again she broke the trust of everyone around and tarnished the legacy of a very good promotion for a long time."

Her bigger frame and yankii character made for an excellent villain. Her recent weight loss has, although probably better for her health, removed some of the aura she used to have. Hopefully she can come back for one last run and get a retirement send-off. As for the Ghastly Match, only Yoshiko and Act know what went down, and Act has expressed regret that it happened and wishes to sit down with Yoshiko and talk about it. It's not up to western fans to judge any part of it."

[5.0] "Okay so I reread my review on her and I felt very embarrassed. While I don't like her, it was a bit hypocritical of me to give a flat out 0 to her while giving Benoit a 10. Thankfully I have matured and so I will revisit this review. Yoshiko is technically speaking a good-great wrestler who can have a very good match. Despite that, as we know safety is the number one rule in Wrestling, and shoot-beating (I don't know if that's a saying) someone up is, surprinsingly not safe. For me if you cannot have a match safely you cannot be considered a good wrestler, same goes for being professional. You could argue that some of the All-Time Greats have been unprofessional during a match (looking at you HBK and RKO) but they never ended a wrestlers career out of pure spite. A 5 would be fine for a Wrestler who unfortunately but deservingly, ended her own promising career. Still sorry for anyone who has seen that awful message of mine :D. And I now agree with some of the commentator bashing people who personally insult her (which I won't say myself since it would be extremely hypocrital of me once again), I now consider myself... saved... I guess?"

I don't really have the most positive opinion of Yoshiko (nor Act for that matter, but this is about Yoshiko), as a wrestler she was pretty good, but she wasn't exactly in Aja Kong's league as a brute or a base for someone to fly around for, she played the role well enough and was different to everyone else around so that made her stand out."

Professional wrestling is a beautiful, choreographed sport and should not be a place to beat people up. Especially since it caused health problems for Yasukawa afterwards. The most shocking thing is that subsequent promotions allowed him to wrestle with such an unprofessional and dangerous attitude? I don't understand the positive notes about her, certainly she was a good wrestler but this incident calls into question the legacy that Yoshiko could or will leave in the future of professional wrestling. I hope this type of incident doesn't happen in the future, it's too serious."

The Yasukawa incident is long in the past, Yasukawa seems to have moved on from that incident, Yoshiko moved on, both of them are even on good terms now and everyone deserves a second oportunity, so I wish the best for both of them.Yoshiko already did everything she could to attonish herself for what she did, I don't know if people wants her to just commit seppuku at this point or what everyone's problem, is so easy to be unforgiving about someone else's mistake, like y'all never been young and dumb at some point. Grow up already."

I think you can look at the other ratings and discern what the cause of that polarization is. As a result, she has an unreliable rating on this site because you end up with people either rating her extremely low due to one incident, or rating her extremely high to counterbalance. I personally believe the answer is somewhere in between, and it depends on the timeframe of the match, the opponent, and her health (as she has had several injuries in recent years, and is currently inactive). When she was firing on all cylinders, she's a 9 - there really wasn't anyone else like her in modern women's wrestling. In the state she was in before she began her period of inactivity, I'd say she was a 7 - still good, but not remarkable. I'll split the difference and call her an 8 for the whole career, and encourage those with a genuine interest in her career to look outside either side of the extremes of the argument and watch her for yourself."

Yoshiko is an amazing pro wrestler, there's not really that many joshis that pull of this intimidating aura she has or I guess had since she got leaner. I think the negative ratings are absolutely overblown. Obviously Act Yasukawa isn't dead, She's wrestling in ActWres Girl'z now which can watch her on their streaming service. Which I mean clearly people care a lot about Act to do that and not just throw negative ratings at Yoshiko for an incident that happened 8 damn years ago that they didn't watch. CLEARLY they're not hypocrites and those same 18 people that gave Yoshiko a 0, gave Act 10s right? Spoilers, They did not. Sorry that the "Ghastly Match" talk has to be included in this rating, but some people can be fake outraged at something that nobody involved in that incident cares about anymore. I hope Yoshiko comes back soon though, her injury has felt so damn long, and I want her to wrestle Sareee for the Beyond the Sea title cause I know that match would fuck. Her legacy shouldn't pinned down to one incident, she way's too damn good for that."

She quit Stardom rather than going though suspension and losing salary shows her lack of character and remorse towards Act and the promotion. Her in ring accomplishments means nothing more than grain of salt. Based on her matches, you can tell she is very stiff in the ring and showing lack of emotion."

I also know that since 2016, Yoshiko hasn't had another problem, she's been just another wrestler, and big names and legends like Arisa Nakajima, Mayumi Ozaki, Hikaru Shida, Sareee, Syuri, Meiko Satomura, Mayu Iwatani... Haven't had any issue with her. Everyone has moved on. But what's funny to me is that people who haven't followed STARDOM until 2 and 3 years after the incident are still very offended with Yoshiko, making a fool of themselves in the process imo. Talking about her, she's the best powerhouse in joshi wrestling, one of the best in the world and the best nearfall-maker in the whole planet. She's ridiculously great, and all these 0s to 5s are from people who have seen little or directly nothing of her and judge only through something that happened 6 years ago. If people close to Act and even Act herself have moved on, stop being crybabies and do the same. Edit: Still so funny that people come here to call her "the worst wrestler of all time" and "a disgrace", it's mindboggling. EIGHT YEARS have passed, you weren't watching back then and you aren't watching now. About Yoshiko, she's gotten leaner and has kinda dropped her "powerhouse" label, but she's still pretty strong, and now she's scary agile too. Sadly she's been out for almost a year but when she gets back, they're gonna be amazing times."

People keep lying to defend her when she nearly beat a smaller, disabled joshi wrestler to death in the ring. An MMA fight would've been called WAY before that match ended. WAY WAY WAY before. I've yet to find any proof that ACT has forgiven her. Just that ACT don't like to talk about it & she was trying to move on & forget about it because that was a terrible moment in her life.. That was from an interview with a translator a few years back. That isn't forgiving. I shouldn't even have to explain why she deserves a zero. She isn't even anything special outside of that near attempted murder she did in the ring. I won't support any promotion that has her as a mainstay after the ghastly match. Anyone who gives her above a zero doesn't care about the health & safety of professional wrestlers or skill level. If the woman doesn't understand the difference between a scripted match & beating a smaller, disabled wrestler half to death, she has no business in the ring. She doesn't know how to wrestle."

"Fans, especially international fans only know her for what she did because of what she did to Act Yasukawa. She's worked incredibly hard from 2016 to now in 2022 to redeem herself, and I strongly believe she's done that. Stardom brought her back in 2021 to have her match against Mayu Iwatani for 3 reasons. 1) To celebrate Stardom's 10th anniversary, 2) Mayu wanted to wrestle her friend Yoshiko, and 3) Stardom has seen how much Yoshiko has changed through the years. Not only this, but Act has forgiven her. So many talent whenever they're asked about Yoshiko will tell you how much of a great person she is. If talent like Act, Mayu, and so many others have forgiven her, you should too. Like many others, I too once had this deep hatred for Yoshiko, had that hatred for 5 years. However, in 2020 when I did some research and seen the hard work she put in to change, and to see how talent react to Yoshiko, I was able to "give her a second chance", and I believe she's redeemed herself. If you still believe she's this "evil person", I believe you should re-think that assumption and watch her matches today, and give her a second chance."

The fact that she emerged at such a high level in Stardom while still so young especially with her peers/counterparts lagging behind her and yet still improved to the level she has been at in the past few years is incredible. Incredible hoss with great moveset, she manages to not fall into a funk when faced off against women her own size or larger and consistently performs at a high level regardless of who she? s matched up against. Her recognition as one of the aces of Joshi along with formerly Sareee, Iroha, and Chihiro was very well deserved. An incredible tag team and singles worker who has been the single biggest reason to watch SEAdLINNNG in years past. I find it funny that she? s marked down so many points because of the Act shoot, an event that occurred due to a mutual rivalry in a shoot fight that Act actively engaged in and also helped instigate, while both parties have come to terms with the event and the scene as a whole has moved past it so much so that Yoshiko has been at numerous stardom events and performed at their biggest show this year. I feel people picking up the burden of the feud has become redundant when nobody actually involved in the incident wishes to breathe life into it any further. Yoshiko? s rating as a talent and performer isn? t accurately represented by torpedoed ratings and at this point there? s no point to torpedo then further. I don't know if this is an understandable attempt to preserve her body, inexcusable laziness or she just doesn't work well with some folks or even a mixture of all these factors, but just like with Matsumoto this will heavily affect match quality. Differently from true talents Yoshiko hasn't got a B-show routine: it's either all out or, more often, a mediocre showing. I don't think she's as bad as most people say, but she's surely not the second coming of Bull Nakano as some other maintain: she's a good wrestler but too often she comes off as unmotivated if not downright lazy. Been involved in consistently great matches for as long as I've been watching SEAdLINNNG, & has had a very good 2020 with matches against Sareee & Nakajima all must watches. It's a shame she'll never get a fair look because of one moment of undeniable monstrosity in 2015, but if you can separate art from artist then there is a lot to appreciate in Yoshiko as a wrestler."

Her recent (January 2020) match with Arisa Nakajima was an incredibly good battle which shows her ability to hang with the best around; her current Beyond the Sea Tag Title reign has only delivered good matches; and her stuff with other promotions shows that she is also incredibly versatile. She can be the big monster heel that she always was in Stardom but also work babyface in peril which is incredibly weird but works very well. Everyone deserves a second chance; and its good that the scene gave Yoshiko one."

And while i won't pretend the "ghastly match" ever happened nor do i know why it transpired. That shouldn't be factored into the rating especially when there are far worst people being allowed to have their mistakes forgiven."

Yes, Act shot on her first in the match with a stiff forearm and the story is still really fuzzy to this day but that was no excuse to beat Act so bad that she was forced to retire and she loses partial vision in one eye. Absolutely despicable and truly one of the darkest moments in professional wrestling history."

I won't take the shooting incident into account because I don't know what truly happened and why it transpired. What I've heard certainly doesn't fit the main story everyone says so I dunno."
