[9.0] "am i being hyperbolic? i dont know, but i've been watching early 2000s ovw as my latest wrestling obsession and i am now retroactively quite upset at the trajectory of the damaja's career after leaving louisville. was he the absolute greatest wrestler in the world, the second coming of danny hodge in the ring, the second coming of ric flair on the microphone? did he have frank ocean's voice and james brown's stage presence? no, obviously not, but he was a young guy who was very dedicated to his craft, and he could've been a lot more than "danny basham" to the average wrestling fan. watch his ovw stuff!"

[4.0] "When called up to the WWE main roster, the OVW alum formerly known as "the Damaja" was paired up with Doug Basham and recast as his "brother" Danny Basham. Danny had perhaps a bit more of a power/brawling-based style than his counterpart, and was hampered by a lack of charisma, but made for a solid if not standout tag wrestler."

[6.0] "Danny Basham was a decent worker, good enough that he would have been a perfect utility guy. But a terrible gimmick that took away all of his charisma, and he had good charisma, meant that Basham never got the kind of run he should have."

[2.0] "I remember Jim Cornette being very high on the Basham Brothers in multiple shoot interviews he gave and how the WWE screwed them up but, I never really saw it. They had opportunities with being paired up with JBL in his "Cabinet" and had a lot matches with Eddie Guerrrero and Rey Mysterio and they never really got over and just lacked... something and I don't know what it was and we'll never know."
