[7.0] "Ignoring the horrific out of the ring which make him a 0/10 person. But as a wrestler, there was a lot to enjoy, he was a good brawler with entertaining fire and he did have some good technical ability, his time in Mid-South in the 80s was entertaining. Shame he was a real life bad guy."

[9.0] "Mr. Wrestling II was born in South Carolina, but made his name in Georgia where he ruled the territory as the most popular talent, so much so that he even was President Jimmy Carter's favorite wrestler. His style may not have aged the most gracefully, but for his importance to wrestling in the territory era made his edge out Big Show."

[2.0] "Chart me up to one of those people who just saw an old guy looking like a giant baby. He always rubbed me wrong and I never wanted to see him. In retrospect, his work has aged exceptionally bad. The way he would buckle his knees, cock his head to the side and give an exaggerated nod; made me want to slap him in his stupid looking old head haha...Career highlights: his "protégé's" Magnum TA & Hercules Hernandez went on to greater heights without him & him being relegated to being a JOBBER for Vince Jr gave me some perverse joy. Not a fan, but there is worse. His commentary was straight and very good. *drops a "2"*"

[7.0] "Huge star in Georgia and his feud with Magnum was massive, this guy would to of been one of the most popular wrestlers going around in the late 70s and early 80s."

[8.0] "his mid south run is where I saw him mostly... he was 50 and helping Hercules Hernandez break in... maybe id rank him higher if I saw him before he was 50 these old timers dont get their just due... I am mostly docking marks based on promo... honestly he didnt wow me. I know he was headlining territories and a heat magnet earlier in his career... but I think hes the example of big dog in a small pond. I dont think his promo skill or gimmick translates to main event on a national level"

[8.0] "One of my all time favorite wrestlers as a child. Mr. Wrestling was a legend in the south east region of the US and one of the most popular wrestlers of the late 70's and early 80's. A WWE HOF'er, etc. Mic promos were handled more like interviews back then and his were mostly done a a professional q&a style which lowers his ranking some. Had great matches - especially with other masked opponents - Spoiler, Masked Superstar (Ax), Assassin,"
