[5.0] "A good wrestler with zero personality and no mic skills at all. I've seen her do good work but she's been boring for a good while now and I'm not entertained by her even one bit these days. I liked her with the OC."

However, in WWE, she is being underutilized. I wish the company would recognize her talent, as well as that of other talented indie wrestlers like Candice LeRae, Piper Niven, and Kay Lee Ray"

From her early days on the independent circuit to her stints in TNA as Jade and now WWE, she has consistently delivered solid in-ring work and connected with fans. Mia Yim stands out for her resilience and passion, overcoming injuries and setbacks while continuing to evolve as a competitor. She has held championships and been part of high-profile storylines, and her presence adds depth to any women's division she joins. Though she has yet to receive a big push in WWE, her talent and work ethic are undeniable, making her a reliable and respected figure in today's wrestling landscape - one capable of bigger things should she get that push"

[8.0] "Mia Yim was incredible throughout her career, but the spotlight only began at the end of her career in TNA and the beginning of WWE/NXT, but her role as Jade in ''DollHouse'' and soon after in a solo career was incredible, people only evaluate here what they saw in WWE, but if they saw her role in TNA they would change their minds because she is an incredible fighter, it's a shame that WWE took so long to hire her."

It's not necessarily her fault as her booking is pretty poor, but at the same time she hasn't really shown much when she gets the chance"

Rosya wrote on 04.01.2025:
[5.0] "It's obvious that she enjoys her job, and she's not lacking in talent, but people just don't care about her. That's partly her problem. If you can't offer the audience something more than average wrestling, that's bad. If she was initially positioned as a jobber, I'd even give her a 7, but she's been a contender for the US title for months: the newest title in WWE, which is pretty important, the title needs to be promoted. And how are you going to catch an eye to title if Michin is fighting for it?"
dizzied wrote on 29.09.2024:
[4.0] "Not sure how her current overall rating is as high as it is. Everything she does is average. Even her finishing move (Eat Defeat) is a copy of Gail Kim who is overall a much better wrestler than her. I think her best persona was as Jade in the Dollhouse when she was one of Taryn Terrell's "associates". Curious that her wrestling style is as "Allrounder". I don't think she really fits the WWE roster particularly because in the WWE you either should have good charisma or good wrestling ability (or be connected to the Samoan Dynasty aka a relative of the Rock), of which she has neither."

[6.0] "I was a fan of Mia Yim during her time in TNA as part of the dollhouse. I feel like she's declined since then. I don't know if it was injuries but she seems less athletic. Her NXT run was decent and then she got put in the terrible Retribution group. When she returned they put her in the OC which seemed forced. They have been using her more on Smackdown and she had a good feud with Jaida Parker in NXT. With how deep the talent is in WWE, I don't think she'll be champion but she is a good utility player."
Odinohka wrote on 22.08.2024:

While her charisma and acting aren't sensational, the fact remains that she has a certain presence in the ring and really good technical skills. While it's hard to imagine her at the top of the card, especially after her long-standing poor writing and inconsistency at certain points in her career, she definitely deserves a place on the card, whether in the Title Picture dnun a secondary title or forming a solid women's team."

[6.0] "I think 6 points is a fair rating for her, she's decent at everything in wrestling but doesn't have a resume of classic matches, or memorable promos, title reigns, etc. She's basically been a utility player but seems like more of a star in smaller promotions like Impact than the WWE. When the NXT women's division was at arguably its peak in 2019-20 she didn't really stand out and was overshadowed by other competitors such as Ripley, Belair, Io, Dakota and Candice."

arrancar wrote on 11.10.2022:
[4.0] "Another wrestler whose push and fan-following are totally undeserved relative to her wrestling skill. Her movements are slow, her attacks completely lack impact, and she's usually really sloppy whenever she has to pull off a spot/exchange with someone instead of just being allowed to get 100% of her offence in. The worst part is that she doesn't even look any better when working with far better wrestlers than just the usual sub-par workers in the Impact women's division. She's just bad all around."

She had a nice run in TNA/Impact as Jade, including a good feud with Rosemary. While not among the top pushed stars in NXT, Yim had good TV matches and took some crazy bumps along the way. Now she's a member of RETRIBUTION using the name Reckoning, it's still early days to see how she takes to this role, but given her track record, she'll make the most of it."

No. But she showed that she can deliver with great energy (Her Street Fight with Candice or the Ladder Match with Io). I don't know if WWE will make her a top star. But she would be ready if they gave her a chance (in my opinion)."

I think after she falls short against Shayna at the upcoming Takeover, she'll likely be the female version of Kassius Ohno -- someone who's good in the ring & who can act as an enhancement talent for the people coming into NXT who likely have more to offer. That's not a bad role to have & I think Mia would be good for the company with that."

She can do just about everything; sell, work, look good, etc. Talking might be my only knock against her but I don't put a lot of stock in talking because wrestling's where it's at in my book. It is unfortunate that Yim recently lost her Shine title but she is going to TNA so I guess she had to drop it before getting fully signed. Nikki Roxx dropped her WSU title in a similarly before heading to Dixie land. I only hope Mia has better luck in TNA then Roxxi did."

DanTalksRasslin wrote on 04.07.2016:
[8.0] "A charismatic presence and good all-around in-ring talent, Mia Yim cut her teeth on the independent circuit and earned singles and tag accolades in SHINE. She was formally introduced on the national stage in ROH, where she served as a valet for one iteration of the Embassy stable, but her in-ring national introduction came in TNA where, as Jade, she was brought in as part of the Dollhouse stable. Though meant as a backup character, her talent allowed her to stand out, and with the stable now history she's become a new breakout star in the Knockouts division with a reign as Knockouts Champion already under her belt. A valuable addition to any women's division, and sure to be a prominent player in the years to come."

She was a part of the match of the weekend both in April and in October, and then to boot, she won the SHINE Championship in China! I can't wait to see what the future holds in store for Mia. Incredibly nice, fantastic worker... just all around a great package."

So judging from what I've seen so far mostly character wise and less in-ring wise, regardless of whether Mia's a heel or a babyface, an active wrestler or a valet, she doesn't even have to talk and she plays her character and any role she's in very well. She's also a pretty good wrestler too. She throws a mean superkick with the best of them! I think it's a no-brainer to anybody who has seen her work that Mia Yim is without a doubt a good fit to have on any wrestling roster. Plus I have to say this as well, whew... she is FINE!"
