Her legendary feud with Trish Stratus, her striking look and charisma, her unique offense for the time, her daredevil antics whether she was giving or taking moves, especially to/from men, made her an icon and inspired many wrestlers in the generations that followed... She was also not very good in the ring. Very clunky between the ropes where she was prone to botches, and was not particularly gifted on the mic either. A legend for sure, but one for her moments rather than her overall body of work."

She was never that good of a wrestler but did enough cool things to mask those deficiencies. She also wasn't good on promos. Her best work came from the real life issues between her, Edge, and Matt Hardy. Even then her delivery was wooden. She did make positive contributions to women's wrestling and was exciting at times but overall she's more like the Gina Carano of wrestling. (Not talking about politics. IYKYK)"

Amidst a division that prioritized looks over wrestling, she stood out simply for doing anything different -- moonsaults, hurricanranas, and a punk-rock vibe that felt fresh at the time. But take a closer look, and her in-ring work was often clunky, her moves inconsistent, and her selling unconvincing. She thrived because the bar was low, not because she redefined what greatness looked like. Had she debuted in today's era -- stacked with women like Bianca, Asuka, Iyo, or Charlotte -- she'd likely fall into the middle of the card, outpaced and outclassed. That said, her influence on a generation of young fans, particularly women who finally saw a wrestler who wasn't a cookie-cutter diva, is undeniable. She deserves credit for inspiring change -- just not for perfecting it."

As part of Team Xtreme, she was a vital piece of the most over group in pop culture at the time, captivating fans with her fearless style and charisma. Her matches with Trish Stratus were groundbreaking, setting a new standard for women's wrestling in WWE. While Trish was more over, Lita was the better in-ring performer, bringing athleticism and innovation to her matches. Her aesthetic was completely unique for women at the time--rebellious, edgy, and unapologetically her own--which made her a true one of a kind. There will never be another Lita."

Lita had a verrry "90's alt grrl" look and following that opened whole new doors and impacted the future of the fan base forevermore. The Team Xtreme trio of her and the Hardy Boyz were HUGELY popular. Unfortunately, some of her work was indeed a bit sloppy and sometimes looked dangerous but history has shown she never hurt anyone (except herself) seriously. Even more unfortunately, a very terrible incident at a taping for a non wrestling related television program occurred; a stunt person did not coordinate with her properly and she broke her neck! Then later at a wrestling event (New Year's Revolution 2005), she tore her ACL. These massive injuries effectively derailed her in ring career. Her in ring heel work is *abysmal*, one of the rare cases where the babyface work is the run away winner. Did great as a second to heel Edge though, quite excellent in the role. 7.5"

Overall, though, she had her few moves and they often were executed sloppily. Nothing was really there to push her to be better than that. It makes her a standout in her time, but you cant help but wonder how shed fair if she came along 20 years later. My personal feeling is shed be somewhere in the middle of the pack. She no doubt is the reason many women of a certain age became wrestlers and she deserves recognition for that. Theres not much else to praise her on, though."

[9.0] "Lita was a groundbreaking figure in women's wrestling, excelling during a time when the division was often relegated to a secondary role. Her distinctive appearance and fearless in-ring style were a perfect complement to the talents of her contemporaries such as Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, Jazz, and Victoria. While her involvement in certain storylines, like the pregnancy angle with Kane and the tumultuous love triangle with Edge and Matt Hardy, might be considered controversial, her contributions to the industry are undeniable. Her dynamic performances as part of Team Xtreme and her intense rivalries with Trish Stratus showcased her exceptional abilities and helped elevate women's wrestling to new heights. These factors, combined with her pioneering spirit, firmly establish Lita as a cornerstone in the history of the division."

She isn't super athletic and while her moveset is impressive, it is soooooo dangerous. In fact, go back and watch some of her stuff. Throw a dart at her catalog, and you'll probably hit a match 50% of the time where she spikes herself and looks like she's about to break her neck, her opponent's neck, or both. Absolutely a legend, absolutely deserves her praise. But man, I get hella nervous every time I come across one of her matches now."

Yes. Did she play a good heel when she was with Edge? Yes. These are the only positive things I can say about Lita and none of them involve her wrestling ability. Unfortunately she was so so sloppy in the ring and never impressed me even with her flashy high flying moves. In the microphone she didn't suck that bad but was nothing to write home about. Overall, bad in the ring but like Chyna, revolutionazed women's wrestling."

Indifferent to her look, best as a valet, she threw the sloppiest looking punches and kicks and was better off in the role of a valet than wrestler but everybody was nuts for her at the time. Trish, Jazz, Victoria and Molly were twice or three times better. Been mentioned numerous times how sloppy and dangerous she was in the ring, and even messed up her neck while on the set of some crappy TV show that put her out of action for months. She repaid Matt's loyalty by screwing around with his co worker. Still can't get over her shitty looking punches and kicks where she flailed like a spazz."

[9.0] "Lita legitimized the women's division by reminding everyone at the time it was more exciting to watch a female athlete with an incredible in-ring performance skillset actually wrestle than just flop around jiggling to Lawler's commentary (hilarious as it often was). She had more layers and dimensions not only in the ring but as a hybrid valet who could obviously sling haymakers with the boys and very often did. Team Extreme brought every crowd to its feet as The Attitude Era morphed into Ruthless Aggression. Lita performed in extreme rules matches at the height of their popularity in the company and took every high-flying stunt risk her counterparts did. Then she stopped being in love with Matt Hardy and fell in love with Edge, so Matt Hardy played victim to a blossoming crowd of internet trolls for sympathy, which somehow worked, and WWE writing played off the drama by mercilessly shaming her every chance they could get. When Edge won the World Title, because this heat made them hot enough that he became a company main eventer in no time, the writers created an in-ring celebration for the next night's weekly show where Edge and Lita would simulate having sex in the ring for the crowd, who rabidly ate it up. Her farewell upon retiring was more disgusting spectacle involving JBL auctioning her panties. So that's how a pioneer of the new Diva explosion the company had benefitted from was treated, because life made her a convenient villain for a crowd that thought they should have a vote in her personal life. Lita is one of the all-time greats of the sport and her legacy should've been written far better. To have continued to put on the matches and performances she did for as long as she did despite those conditions is a testament to Amy Dumas, the person."

But there's no way around the fact that she was a bad wrestler. When she wasn't doing her high spots, her ring work was slow and very sloppy. Her moonsault was awful but somehow is still heralded by some as the best in wrestling, and her fans will throw a tantrum if they see another female wrestler performing one and accuse them of "stealing her move". She gets this high a rating because she was still pretty influential and was monumental to getting women in WWE being seen as more than just blondes prancing around in lingeries and bikinis, as well as her awesome work as a heel valet for Edge."

[7.0] "Lita's praise mostly comes from her being one of the few mainstream wrestlers to be capable of handling herself in the ring and being quite over with her signature moonsault. However, being one of the best out of a division of mediocre to outright bad wrestlers is not groundbreaking. It would take a while before any of them would be on her level (Trish, Mickie James, etc) and by that time she was already outside of her prime and with nagging injuries. In terms of her wrestling career, she never really had a feud that had staying power, and she was terrible on the mic or on commentary. Granted, her legacy as one of the first emerging top female wrestlers is undeniable: but her quality of matches wasn't actually that impressive to warrant being any higher. If she had more of a significant presence in terms of feuds, maybe it would be different."

[7.0] "Honestly, I think the highlight of Lita's career was managing Edge, which is not an insult. After her unfaithfulness to Matt became public knowledge, she completely reinvented herself, becoming one of the most hated heels in the company along with Edge. As a manager, she was awesome. Everyone hated her guts. She was sooo good at playing the role of just a vile slut that doesn't give a shit about Matt or her former fans. It worked so well and is probably the most memorable thing about Lita in my opinion. Additionally, she was also in the upper echelon of female wrestlers during that period, certainly much better than Trish Stratus. Nothing compared to the women nowadays, but she was very good for the time. All in all, a fairly good wrestler that really shined working as a manager for Edge. I'd rate her in-ring career as a 5 and her managing career as a 9, so that balances out to 7/10. p. s. Please do not ban me cagematch admins for calling Lita a slut, that was literally just her gimmick for like several years, as it fit well with her choice of actions outside of the ring, and I'm just saying she made the most of a shitty situation by choosing to go with it."

She was very sloppy in the ring, as was typical for the women's division at the time. The fact is though, she didn't have to be a good wrestler to play the role she was given, and she played it excellently. Much like the McMahons, she wasn't really a "wrestler" per se, more of an on-screen personality who could wrestle a bit, and much like Shane in particular, by far her biggest strength as a performer was her capability and willingness to do bigger, flashier spots and take bigger, flashier bumps than the rest of the women (and most of the men too, for that matter) on the roster. A more than capable spot monkey who was effortlessly cool, and a genuinely unique part of the roster."

Had she not missed that time out with her neck injury, maybe she would have continued to grow in the ring with Trish, but in the end I think Trish grew better. Lita was tough, getting casually speared and hit with double teams to taking NINE chairshot from Stone Cold, she can take her licks. Her feud with Trish Stratus is one of the best in WWE, due to the two's being complete opposites. However, while there's no denying Lita's impact on the view of women's wrestling to casual WWE viewers, her work has always been hit or miss. She was a pretty sloppy worker at times, her infamous suicide dive being a indicator of that. Her recklessness costed her some key prime years as well as her Wrestlemania match vs. Trish, and she's never been a good promo. But. Lita is memorable, and that counts for a lot.
