His work in the 50s & 60s was outstanding, and giving birth to one of the best actual in ring workers adds to his legacy as well. Far better than Greg, Johnny Valentine was a trailblazer for wrestling, having a bit more of a modern style than a lot of the past wrestlers before him from what I've seen. Looking at his signature moves, they are all used in today's pro wrestling match as transition moves, but the fact they're being used at all in comparison to atomic drops or full nelsons shows how his matches still hold up and don't look too outdated honestly."

[10.0] "One of the best wrestlers of the 60s that I have seen, if not the best. Seek his stuff out, there are many high quality matches on youtube. Greg Valentine's father had an incredible build and persona, and was an intensely believable mat technician as well. A tough brawler too, held the Texas Brass Knuckles championship many times, a precursor of hardcore wrestling. If I ran a territory in his prime I probably would have made him the top guy."
