[9.0] "James Storm is a severely underrated performer whose career deserves more recognition. He has consistently delivered memorable matches across TNA, from the AMW vs. Triple X Six Sides of Steel clash to brutal Street Fights with Bobby Roode and Texas Death Matches with Chris Harris. His in-ring work is solid, his base and offense reliable, and his Cowboy persona showcased his promo skills effectively. Signature moves like the Eye of the Storm and Last Call remain standout finishers, combining technical prowess with dramatic impact. While his TNA World Title reign was frustratingly brief, his contributions to tag and singles wrestling are undeniable."

[9.0] "James Storm is one of the most consistent and underrated performers of the last two decades. His work in TNA as part of America's Most Wanted and later Beer Money is legendary for tag team wrestling fans--easily some of the best chemistry and storytelling in the game. What often goes unnoticed is his ability to adapt as a singles wrestler. His promos feel authentic, and he has a unique presence that mixes old-school charisma with modern grit. He absolutely should've had a real run with the TNA World Title in his prime. A Southern-style brawler who could hang with just about anyone."

[8.0] "James Storm will always be considered one of TNA's best tag team wrestlers; he worked well and always received that crowd reaction that many wrestlers wanted back then. In my opinion, he always was underappreciated by the company like TNA to never push him as a singles competitor and give him a full run with the world title, and his promo skills are good too. It was a great shame since leaving TNA, he was never actually really given a chance elsewhere besides a few matches with WWE, which fell through. Very underrated and underappreciated."

[8.0] "James Storm has proven to be a great tag team wrestler, but he's proven he can carry feuds and matches well on his own. I still think it is a shame that not only was his only world title win in his career a transitional reign that technically wasn't necessary and only was done to push a heel turn that felt completely invalid, but while tape delay would make you think otherwise, his reign only lasted a mere 8 days. I think he could've been a great multi-time world champion in the singles division, but at the same time I do feel he has done a lot in his career that he can be proud of."

[8.0] "I have enjoyed James Storm's career. He is a great tag team wrestler as proven with America's Most Wanted and Beer Money Inc. He also is good on his own as his feud with Roode proved. Stormed played the cowboy gimmick well and was very talented on the mic."

[10.0] "I feel like James Storm has genuinely been underrated his whole career. This man has been in some of my all time favorite matches in TNA history: AMW vs. Triple X in the six sides of steel, Chris Harris in the Texas Death Match, Bobby Roode in the Street Fight at Bound For Glory, hell even recently I just watched the best of 5 series final match he had with Roode vs. The Machine Guns. This man is so talented, he's a great base and his offense never looked bad. His Cowboy character when he turned on Chris Harris was awesome and really showed what a great promo he is. He should've held the TNA title for longer than he did though, I know that leads onto Bobby Roode's historic World Title reign, but Storm barely had it for a week. I'll also throw in that the Eye of the Storm is an amazing finisher and the Last Call is one of the best superkicks of all time hands down."

[7.0] "Solid tag specialist but jeez he really hasn't done much beyond that. TNA were grooming him to be the big star out of him and Roode but in the end it didn't turn out that way. That wasn't to say Storm wasn't a bad wrestler, far from it: he had some great matches, but many of them were either tag bouts with other talented guys or hardcore stuff. He can play a good face or heel depending what's required and he was surprisingly agile in his better years. That being said, he doesn't have a lot of charisma behind him and the dire years where he was the main event talent wasn't particularly fantastic. His promos beyond him shouting and his catchphrase aren't memorable and his booking is a lot worse."

[9.0] "James Storm is one of the best midcarders in recent wrestling history. He was part of two of TNA's best tag teams and also works well as a solo act. His latter years in TNA were sidetracked by bad booking, but he's entertaining in his current role in the revived NWA."

[9.0] "One of the most underrated wrestlers in ALL of wrestling history. Guy is so talented, but it never seems to care any of promotions he stepped in. He deserves so much better than he gets and this is so sad."

[7.0] "You've got to believe that Storm regrets passing on that WWE contract when it was offered to him after those brief NXT cameos that he made. He felt like returning to TNA was a better move at the time & I can't blame him, because no one can tell the future for sure. But with hindsight being 20/20, it's safe to assume Storm would be in a better place today had he chosen differently. But all that said, Storm didn't have too bad of a run in TNA. Mostly shined in two different tag teams & never got over big as a singles, even when he was holding the TNA title in some of that company's darker days. Since his glory days, Hangman Page is now the most noteworthy wrestler dawning the cowboy gimmick & as long as AEW is running with him as a top star they will have no interest in Storm. He's now doing some stuff with the sporadic NWA & he's gained a lot of weight."

[3.0] "I enjoyed him at times in his tag team days, but these days he seems out of shape and broken down, not to mention very stale on the mic, simply shouting everything does not exactly make a great crowd worker. Very badly booked as well over the past several years, constantly turned heel to lead some vague group which always underwhelms with him at the helm."

[10.0] "James Storm is so good at what he does. No other Wrestler of Southern Comfort maybe outside of AJ Styles has had a career like this. He forged historic, emotional and great tag runs with (Chris Harris, Bobby Roode and Abyss). While, more than capable to be a Main Eventer he excels in making everyone look Good around him. That's what makes him great. Only, a Great Worker can take most any wrestler and can produce a solid outing. Storm even carried Shera to a solid outing."

[4.0] "I was never a fan of "redneck" wrestlers like James Storm, Trevor Murdoch and Jimmy Wang Yang just to name a few. I always thought Bobby Roode was the more entertaining of the two when Roode and Storm were together as Beer Money. Not the worst wrestler in the universe but, not a fan sorry."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 18.04.2015:
[9.0] "A TNA mainstay who's been with the company since the very first show. Storm has a well-rounded in-ring skill set and is always capable of good matches, and shows a tremendous amount of personality in his promos, whether he's portraying himself as a hard-drinking, hard-partying good old boy or as a dark-edged vigilante. Although more than capable as a singles wrestler who has been in the main event before and certainly could be again, he is perhaps at his best as a tag team wrestler, having been a part of two of TNA's classic tag teams in America's Most Wanted and Beer Money (as well as having title runs with Christopher Daniels, Gunner and Abyss)."
