[7.0] "Barbaro seemed like a rising star in the industry. He was a great technical foil to high flyers like Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix. Then he just kinda stagnated. He reached his ceiling it appears, and it is lower than many thought it would be. Maybe he can get back on track, but Im not sure. Still nice to see New Japan use him and they gave him a win over a team with Zack Sabre Jr. Maybe a change in scenery would raise his game"

[7.0] "An intriguing character: he was originally an absolutely unremarkable masked rudo when he debuted for CMLL in Guadalajara in 2011 or 2012. After losing his mask he started to be booked very strong in the same arena for a couple of years. To his credit Barbaro worked extremely hard to show he wasn't just a pet project being pushed by bookers. In 2014 he had a brief run in Arena Mexico where he was extremely well received both by the fans and other wrestlers, but became a part-timer so he could complete his education before returning as a full-time worker. Technically he is great, being well suited to both short sprints and long drawn out single matches, but his gimmick is so... mediocre. His presentation is basically that of a far lesser Cavernario Galindo, one of Mexico's most memorable (and hated) heels, but he has never shown any of Galindo's downright savagery in the ring. He's very smooth and extremely well polished: he could well be a great technical rudo in the mold of heel Negro Casas, not a bloodthirsty caveman trying to gouge his opponets' eyes out like Galindo, let alone a low rent Fred Flintstone impersonator. Since I know CMLL bookers value my opinion, please give this young man a suitable gimmick now that you are warming up the engines to return to operations."

[8.0] "Cavernario is a very fun wrestler to watch, he has a very interesting character, and he is also very charismatic, he is also good in the ring, but his strengths are his character and his charisma, I hope he is in this year's BOSJ,"

[8.0] "I think that Barbaro Cavernario is the prototype of a mexican wrestler that we will see more often over the years. He does quite risky things but can also adapt to more technical matches, knows how to handle himself perfectly as rudo and has a natural charisma."

[9.0] "I wondered why his rating was so low. ~7 isn't bad, but with how fantastic Cavernario was in 2018, it's fair that we update this a bit. He's crazy fast and athletic, and is never afraid to take risks. In some instances, it's rough because of the injury risk (like when Fenix got injured in their second match). For that reason I can't rate him a 10, but he's still fantastic and worth going out of your way to see."

[8.0] "El Barbaro Cavernario thrives in a big match setting and in a trios setting where he is the dominant rudo. Despite this he focuses on his gimmick to much and it is very childish and comedic, and it takes away from a lot of his matches, but when he wants to have a great match, he has a great match."
