[9.0] "Isn't that crazy to think that his peak as a professional wrestler came at fifty years old at AEW? It isn't just me saying, already saw Christian say the exactly same thing. We don't apreciate him like we should do, of course, everyone knows about his tag with his almost brother Edge and how they were incredible together and separate, but Christian work as a AEW can be consider an top 5 ever for the promotion. I am not even kidding. That guy wrestle Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland pulling out some good matches, he had some great storylines that also had great matches like the one with Adam Copeland and Darby Allin, which I think it is the most underrated match of the entire promotion. He is so fucking good as a heel as his work with that "Patriarchy" stuff was so great and intense that even made Jack Perry as a interesting babyface during a slow period back in the day. So fucking good."

[6.0] "He is charismatic. He does have good fundamentals with his work in the ring. But he has to be one of the least believable pro wrestlers of all time. I just can't, in any way, suspend my disbelief into thinking of this guy as some sort of a physical threat to his contemporaries. He just seems super soft. His offensive moves in the ring also always look soft and lack impact. And Vince was right (sometimes he was). There is just something very unlikable about this guy's face. How's fundamentals carry him to a 6 though. Generous, I think."

[10.0] "Easily a top 10 all time favorite for me. For a long, long time I felt like Christian was the most underutilized guy in pro wrestling and I'm really glad that he's gotten his flowers in recent years."

[1.0] "I feel like the gimmick of a momma's boy (or daddy's boy) is the last thing you'd want to see in wrestling. I've never been into Christian. When he was a cute face, it was incredibly boring, and I don't understand where the nickname "Captain Charisma" came from. In that match against Orton, I honestly cheered for Randy. And I was happy for the The Viper. That was one of those matches you often see when watching with Bryan -- when you don't like the face and enjoy watching him get destroyed by a coolest and strongest heel. When he made his return, he was also dull, and it even annoyed me that he took the title from Kenny Omega (who was a pretty cool TNA champion in 2021). When he repackaged himself as a heel, I wasn't watching AEW back then. But all I've seen of his "Savage Promos" is him frowning, raising his eyebrows like a little house, and saying that some opponent's dad (mostly some gray midrcarder like Garcia) died. Just... meh. And his in-ring work is bad. I even wanted to give him a zero, but it's clear he enjoys what he's doing, and he's somewhat in his element. But I don't support that kind of direction. I'm not a moralfag, but that's just primitive and sleazy."

[9.0] "To me Christian's one of the most underrated wrestlers ever who doesn't really get the credit he deserves. I believe he is as talented as Edge and in fact I like his in-ring work more than Edge. If Christian was given more time in the WWE main event scene, fans would have seen the true greatness of Christian."

He proved his singles worth in both WWE and TNA, where he became a top world champion after dominating the midcard and tag team divisions. His in-ring work is crisp, his promos are razor-sharp (somehow peaking with his best work at 50 in AEW), and his ability to elevate younger talent while maintaining credibility is rare. Christian might not have always had the spotlight, but his longevity, storytelling ability, and current late-career renaissance earn him high marks. Quietly, he's built a Hall of Fame résumé without ever needing the flash - in comparison to Edge who seemingly always got or needed the spotlight, Christian did top work at any place on the card"

And his current stint in AEW has me quite hyped, since he's given us excellent angles since he set foot in the company... shining even in its worst moments. ECW would have gotten a lot out of Christian in 2000."

His first heel run in 2001 showed he could stand on his own, and his IC title reigns in the early 2000s helped make that belt feel meaningful again. His TNA run was incredible--he went from being underrated in WWE to proving he could carry a company. When he returned to WWE, he delivered again, having classic matches, winning World Titles, and cementing his legacy. And now in AEW, he's arguably doing some of his best work ever, cutting top-tier promos and proving he's still one of the smartest minds in the game. Christian has had a career most wrestlers could only dream of, and his legacy is set in stone as one of the greatest to ever do it."

[8.0] "Christian never had the opportunity to build up a great catalogue of matches, but at least he has several entries of very very good matches and has obviously taken part in some of the best tag team matches in WWE history. His character work in AEW has been fantastic, and he's one of the big beneficiaries of betting on himself outside of the WWE bubble at a time that was really almost impossible, and he deserves a ton of credit for that. Tons of longevity, really enjoying his stuff so late in his career, and one of those guys who really outperformed his expectations."

[9.0] "Quite the career for Captain Charisma from CLB to apparent DILF of the year 2023 and he's engaging enough to convincingly pull it off. Always preferred the understated, less vaunted CC as Edge was obviously the guy they had the biggest plans for. Career highs as a fairly generic face but even with singles titles, he's always been best when he's being a bastard from stealing Trish Stratus from Y2J to his current stellar work as a deviant adult adoption agency. Amazing presence and on the mic, whether it be a withering glance towards one his "sons" to distastefully bullying the supposedly grieving. Unprettier's always been a great finisher, reverse DDT's nice too. Still going at 50 odd, Christian's one of the best and wittiest heels around."

[8.0] "Christian's career is the opposite of Edge's in terms of greatness. While his early work wasn't bad at all, it wasn't a highlight of any kind aside from a few exceptional matches that really showed how good he could actually be. Fast forward to his run in AEW, it's amazing. His promos hit hard, and his presence as a despicable heel is undeniable."

He's still good in the ring, but his criminal mic work has shown the one true thing every fan of his has always known. He is one of the best antihero heels in wrestling and knows how to make every wrestler who steps in the ring with him better. He isn't taking the spotlight from other wrestlers but sharing it, unlike other older veterans do."

[8.0] "Christian is on the run of his life rn, its a shame that WWE never really gave him the chance to show just how good he is. That said, I gotta say that I as this gimmick progresses further and further along and Tony doesn't pull the trigger on the eventual turn of Killswitch, I lose more and more interest in it."

[9.0] "Christian's work in the last 12 months are absolutely exceptional. No one is doing the pompous cowardly cruel heel like Christian, and when they book him for a singles match he really goes. His matches with Darby & Adam Copeland are absolute bangers, not even to mention his work on the microphone. I want him on my tv every week. I can't get enough of the sleeveless turtleneck, his obsession with dead fathers, the way he threatened to sleep with Adam's wife, chef's kiss. He has me in the palm of his hand and knows the best funniest thing to say at every turn."

[10.0] "Our father and savior is none other than Christian Cage, this man is a complete package and since the 90s he has been reinventing himself in such subtle ways and what he does always captivates the wrestling industry and fandom."

[10.0] "Christian Cage has been my top guy since the Brood. I thought that he has made everything in his career work, maybe not in as bombastic of a way that Chris Jericho has with every gimmick, but Jericho-like in that everything hes done has been elevated because of him. CC would have made the blue dot work if he had to, thats how damn good Christian Cage is. He should have been the final WWECW champion because he even elevated it while he was there. He was the first person that I shed a tear for when they won a world title, since it was one of my guys finally getting their moment (Kofi, Big E, Cody are the others). His comeback in 2021 and his work in AEW just shows how great CC is and even at 50 years old, hes one of the top heels in the business."

[9.0] "Christian is undoubtedly one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time, he was always kind of in the shadow of his legendary partner Edge/Adam Copeland, but only late in his career I could see the impressive talent he has, he's amazing, a reliable and old-school worker, with a huge promo ability, he's a master on the microphone, he knows incredibly well how to generate a reaction, his timing is impressive, he's smart and can work a crowd with perfection. I also enjoy his work in the ring, he was massively underappreciated his entire career, I'm glad he's finally getting his flowers, what a credible and hateful villain he is, impeccable deliveries every single time he has the spotlight."

[9.0] "A decent well rounded wrestler who has been in the business for a very long time. His tag team work with Edge was great and his work in TNA showed that he is capable of wrestling on the top card, which may have seemed doubtful at first glance due to his mid-card jobbing in WWE. Since joining AEW he has been putting out some of his best promo work. But of course due to his age he won't be able to move around like he's in his 20s and 30s, but his high ring IQ helps make up for that."

[9.0] "Christian Cage is one of the best and most underrated wrestlers in the history of pro wrestling. From the Edge and Christian days in 2000s WWF, to NWA world champion, to telling Nick Wayne about his dead father, Cage has always been an amazing worker. His current work in AEW is arguably his best work of his whole career."

[9.0] "It's amazing that out of everyone who established the tag team scene during the 00's in the WWF, Christian ended up being the best one. Not only has his character work aged well and continues to be the most exciting part of any wrestling programming, but it is borderline insane how fluid his wrestling abilities are, he is incredibly smooth and always sound in terms of ring psychology, and it always feels like Christian Cage, the character, is performing in the ring. His AEW run as the leader of The Patriach and undisputed father of the year has been the best run of his career, and I only started to see the genius of it once I realized that during his debut, the titantron used to say "OUT WORK EVERYONE", and after AEW's All In, it now says "WORKED EVERYONE" and it's all the better that he came out of it with a sleeveless turtle neck. Great wrestler, even better character."

[9.0] "One of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. Hes been successful in every single company hes been in. Radically inventing himself each time. Went from a fantastic tag team wrestler, didnt diminish in quality as a singles wrestler at all. I dont even believe that he lives in the shadow of Edge. He was even entertaining in the Un-Americans stable. Then theres TNA. Not much else can be said on that tbh. All of yall know how excellent his run there was. Even when he returned into the WWE and was put in the ECW brand, a brand that had been thoroughly humiliated and destroyed by Vince, quivering in its bruised skin, he was a shining light there. Then we think about his brief run in the early 2010s. Sure it wasnt anything excellent and he didnt get to do much, but he was still a good wrestler. Helping pass the torch to Miz in a way at Raw 1000. Now lets just fast forward to his current run in AEW. I dont think anyone couldve predicted that his gimmick would be shitting on peoples dead fathers. Its so comically evil that it ends up being entertaining. Imagine telling someone 6 years that he would do this. Youd be laughed at. What a performer. So glad that it seems like he still has a few more years in him. And im glad about that. Finally, let me talk about his theme songs. The man legitimately never had a bad one in his entire career. Not only are they good songs, theyre bangers. As someone whose main passion in life is music, I can tell that he has great taste. Didnt even get into his promo skills yet which are great. With that, Ill leave you with a question: whats the capital of Thailand?"

[9.0] "Christian should have been the star, not Edge. He's better in the ring and on the mic. A better babyface and on par with him as a heel. Criminally underrated."

[9.0] "Man, Christian is so good. From the early days of Edge & Christian, to their split, becoming Captain Charisma, jumping to TNA and proving to everybody he can be a main event guy, coming back to WWE and becoming WHC and up until now with his current AEW run, you can't fault anything. The guy has been so good, he has EVERYTHING needed to be a main event star. Whilst Edge was obviously looked at more successful, I'd say him and Christian are on the same level. Best thing he ever did was leave WWE for TNA in the mid 2000s, really turned his career around and had some instant classic (pun intended) matches with some great TNA wrestlers. Wouldn't say he's a 10 because I think that's for god-like wrestlers who have either transformed the business or have entered a different level of professional wrestler. But he's absolutely one of the all time greats. Can do everything."

[10.0] "Ah Captain Charisma. One of the most underrated wrestlers to ever do it and someone who should really be in the Hall of Fame by now. Now doing some of the best heel work of his career at 50, Christian has proven that he still has it in spades."

"Somehow, one of my favorite wrestlers growing up is now better than ever over 20 years later. AEW has allowed Christian to enter a resurgence for the ages. Long live The Patriarch!"

[10.0] "Christian Cage has been one of my all-time favorites for a while now, so obviously you would expect me to view him in high regard. But really, I think he has done some of his best work during the year, and ever since his heel turn on Jungle Boy. Its impressive to me what he has done to the TNT Championship, a belt I considered on life support just a year ago, and he has arguably made it the most interesting in the company during the year (well to me anyway). His promo work is as good as ever, and his programs with the likes of Darby Allin and Adam Copeland this year have been excellent, and resulted in very good matches. To me, the best heel in AEW and one of the best in the business overall. And when you combine that with his previous work, as part of Edge & Christian, his first solo run, his work in TNA, when he came back to the WWE, he has always been excellent. I almost regret that he is such a great heel because I want to root for him but man, what a wrestler he is, was, and hopefully, still will be."

[10.0] "Truly an all-rounder legendary wrestler that's hard to not rate a 10. He has the longevity, the prestige of being the world heavyweight champion, ECW world champion, and espcially the NWA world champion which most can not they have held, the legacy as a member of many great stables such as the Brood, Ministry of Darkness, Christian Coalition, Team ECK, etc. Not to mention, him and Edge could well be considered one of the greatest tag teams of all time. He is both consistently excellent on the mic and in the ring whether it's face or heel, whether it's main event or midcard. It doesn't matter if he's feuding with Edge, Randy, Planet Jarrett, or Joe, he thrives to be the best thing on the show from WWF to TNA, and now in AEW. You literally can't ask for anything more."

[10.0] "Christian Cage is an amazing wrestler. Was always talked about as an underrated guy due to who he started his career with. His WWE runs were good as he always put on great matches but never felt like a star. TNA changed that with making him one of the faces of early TNA. His best work however has been in 2023 at 50 years old in AEW. The leader of the patriarchy has become one of the best heels in wrestling. Still can go in the ring and is better than almost anyone on that roster in terms of mic skills and character work."

[10.0] "I've always seen Captain Charisma (even in his age) as underdog that can evolve himself into more and maybe I'm a little biased but I've always preferred him over Edge (Adam Copeland). Now, he's bigger than Adam as the biggest heel of this year. Christian was always be my favorite guy."

[10.0] "Probably the wrestler most hated by fans, rivaled only by Dominik Mysterio. How good he is at being bad is being talked about a ton, but ultimately his greatest gift is his veteran presence allowing guys like Nick Wayne who embrace his vision to learn how to wrestle and become better than they currently are."

[9.0] "I don't think it's a hot take to say that Christian is probably the best villain in North American wrestling at the moment. He is the absolute best of just verbally running down his opponents, and making the viewer wanna see him get his ass kicked. Christian was always one of my guys back in the day, so I am so happy to see him get his chance to shine, and am quite frankly amazed that he is putting up some of his best work at the age of 49."

Everything he is a part of turns into gold, this heel character borrows from so many others but is still extremely unique and not like anything we've seen before. Christian has always been a great wrestler but this run takes him to a different height. With Edge in AEW now there's even more potential with him. Looking forward to what comes next."

If you want to see one of his top matches, check out his match against Kenny Omega at All Out 2021 (he got a little lucky with his opponent). If you want to see a good promo, just follow the AEW weekly shows. After MJF did a face turn due to his storyline with Adam Cole, Christian Cage became the best heel wrestler of our time. Not only in AEW, but in the whole wrestling world. If he could have been a little bit younger he could have been one of the best heel wrestlers of all time, but unfortunately his years were stolen by a company called WWE. And of course the bad luck of injuries. Now he is using Luchasaurus as a "Tyson Tomko" and is having great success. He's not doing too badly in his own matches either. I hope we can watch him active for at least 1-2 more years."
