[7.0] "An enjoyable shootout that's elevated by Knoxville's response to The Steiner Brothers, even through a clumsy moment or two. Scott feels like the hottest wrestler on earth at times, earning a roar at every turn. ***1/2"

[9.0] "The more I watch, the more likely I think that it is that the Steiner Brothers are the greatest tag team of all time. For so many years they were just unbelievably great, insane athletic (genetic? ) freak powerhouses, loaded with muscle but quick, agile, just unbelievable wrestlers. Here they are in the midst of a successful run in both WCW and New Japan, the latter of which sees them achieving a lengthy reign with the tag team titles which are being defended here. They are facing off against the challengers from New Japan, the fantastic Hiroshi Hase who boasts not only a great history of matches but also a good amount of 90s success in the promotion, and Masahiro Chono who would become known as one of New Japan's "Three Musketeers", their three top talents of the 90s. This match is a hard hitting blitz, exactly the way it should be with all four guys laying into each other with a lot of massive and highly satisfying offense. The Steiners were massively over as well, during a time when WCW was struggling with popularity it's clear they were an important part of maintaining the fanbase they had. I am not one to lobby for long matches but I was a bit sad that this was only 8 minutes, but they packed a great amount of action into that time and I was deeply entertained in the end."

[7.0] "Let the quality of this match be proven by the fact that not even Chono could bring it down. The Steiners were incredibly over at the time, getting some of the biggest reactions at every show. This one was no different, as both Scotty and Ricky had great chemistry with the crowd while showcasing some of the most impressive moves in the business. Hase also looked strong with his amateur wrestling background, and Chono, to his credit, didn't bore the hell out of me."

[8.0] "I'm kind of surprised to discover that this was as short as it was - they fit so much action into such a short span of time that it felt much longer, especially compared with a lot of the other matches on this card. The match was so physical that Chono literally split Rick Steiner's headgear in half with a kick to the top of his skull. There was a bit of an awkward moment where Scott slipped off the top rope, but outside of that I thought this was awesome."

[8.0] "I really enjoyed this match, this was a lot of fun. The Steiner's were the IWGP Champs at this time and they got a solid defence here against Hiroshi Hase and Masahiro Chono. Hell of a sprint here, and this felt not like normal WCW fare for the time. Sometimes the crossover between NJPW and WCW was great, and this was one of those times."

[6.0] "The crowd doesn't know who Hase and Chono are, which is sad to me, but that's the world we live in as we don't have NJPW on our TVs in 1991. I can't express enough how much I love Ric Steiner after watching him take 4 vicious Chono kicks and thne lay him out with a Steinerline. Chono is a beat, but the Steiners were in another stratusphere in 1991."

[5.0] "? Hiroshi Hase is the leader of the team? . Sure, Jim, Sure. This was solid enough but as Hase and Chono aren? t over with the crowd, there is too little heat to make the stiff exchanges work. The highspots of the match are totally lost on the audience due to unfamiliarity. STF gets crickets, Kenka kick (a brutal one) gets the same treatment. The Steiners are over and their stuff gets a reaction but they were on the backfoot in the match. Absolutely nothing special when you look at the talent. This would? ve been immense in front of a New Japan crowd. **1/2"

[8.0] "An absolutely hard-hitting sprint war between these four tough dudes. They were merely beating the holy hell out of each other in there, and I LOVED it. Exactly my cup of tea. Great match, especially considering its only under 8 mins. [***3/4]"

[8.0] "This was just four guys determined to stiff and beat the shit out of each other as hard as possible, and it was quite awesome. Chono literally broke Rick's headgear with the mother of all kicks to the head, and the Steiners replied by throwing the Japanese guys around with sick Germans and badass Steinerlines. This was a great little tag match. [***3/4]"

Obviously the guys could have done a lot more, but I guess the card having so many matches ate into their matchtime. Having said that, not every match needs to be an epic, and so if these guys can tell an entertaining story in only 8 minutes, more power to them."
