Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Vader

[9.0] "Great match. Misawa desperately attacks and flies to drain Vader's power, but Vader not only dominates him, he hits harder each time. ****"

[10.0] "12 minutes of pure, distilled power struggle between the avatar of overwhelming power and one of indomitable fighting spirit. Vader's hits offense so brutal he'd massacre a dozen men if he was a movie villain, while Misawa comes back with all he's got: elbows, flying moves, a Tiger Driver more resembling the '91 version than the regular Tiger bomb. This is better than their previous two matches, as everything clicked this time around (and thus probably their best). On a more subjective note, I've recently got peeved with kickouts in modern wrestling where the wrestler just lies there motionless for the two count, but quite obviously tense, only to explode into kickout out of nowhere. Here, not so much. Misawa almost always begins to move at 2 or so, while Vader somehow always looks like he needed those two seconds to get back in the fight."

[8.0] "This was a great match. This was less of a wrestling match and more of a fight. Vader led an onslaught on Misawa, as seen early on with 3 savage looking german suplexes. Mitsuharu Misawa played the underdog babyface here, and the selling from him was great. One little spot that I liked was when Misawa went for a dive through the ropes and Vader countered. Now usually Vader would have just sold the move or would have caught him. Instead, he was leaned up against the guardrail and lift his boot to kick Misawa. Misawa tried his best, but Vader was just too much for him and was able to win the Triple Crown Championship. I'm glad Vader got to hold another world title after his WWE career ended the way it did. ****1/4"

[8.0] "A dueling blast of a match with good drama between the two. This match is Awesome. From the onset, Misawa was noticeably going to be more of a struggle for Vader, However, when Vader got a hold of Misawa, the result was drastic. A competitive match that still showed how Vader outpowers Misawa. Misawa had some really great selling that propelled the drama like early in the match when Vader finally got Misawa away from clenching the corner and delivered THREE consecutive German Suplexes Misawa attempted to stand back up but he collapsed. This match is a treat at just 13 min. ****1/4"

[9.0] "This is in my opinon, the best Vader match in All Japan. The peak of the promotion has passed by this point, so I feel like it got overlooked, even in real time as being on par with the classics of the last few years."

[7.0] "Started off well, but did not really keep me invested to be honest, they were do some cool power moves, but not done as other stuff recently. ***1/2"

[8.0] "An utterly brutal match, pretty much nothing but two hard bastards beating the piss out of each other, great stuff."

[8.0] "Vader takes a suplex and a DDT off the top turnbuckle. Misawa also takes his share of punishment, notable a nasty powerbomb outside the ring. I felt Vader was lacking some of his usual intensity but with two pros like these it's hard for them to have a bad match. Well worth a watch. ***3/4"

[9.0] "What a match! The offence is just NASTY. Vader's throws are brutal / Misawa's strikers are gorgeous - a wonderful combo. Loved the great reversals by Misawa. Also like the high-speed of a few sequences. An incredible watch."

[8.0] "A great match , though i thought it could of helped if it went a little bit longer , but it was an excellent fun short hard hitting match."

[7.0] "One of that matches that could've been better, but it was good the way it was. Despite being 12 minutes long, this match have some cool spots and some good drama, but, like I said, it could've been better. ****1/4"

[7.0] "This wasn't quite as good as their Dome match, but it was still really good, just about enough to not be a disappointment."

[9.0] "What an all-time great sprint. In barely 13 minutes, you have everything you could want in a wrestling match : brutal strikes and moves, great selling, a tremendous underdog performance by Misawa... In the end, you can think that Misawa was going to make his comeback, but Vader just won't let that happen. Masterful work by these two legends. ****1/2"
