418.10.2024FelipeTalksGraps7.0[3.25*] This was a pretty good match and the match + the after-match attack by Moxley were the best things on the whole show in my opinion. The psychology there was pretty well executed, despite people being a little tired of the same story of Orange suffering the whole match and then winning with a roll-up, which is a very fair complaint too.
505.09.2024danzitorock7.0Great match, Claudio is a beast, so strong... he controlled this match brilliantly. Cassidy played the underdog role in an amazing way too. This match had great moves and reversals, very enjoyable. The post-match angles with Moxley assaulting Cassidy and the backstage promo delivered greatly as well - {***1/2}

1023.05.2024Mizzle Assault Ant9.0Man was I looking forward to this one, and it did not disappoint! Years ago they met in a CHIKARA ring more than once, though I think never in a singles match, and they always showed great chemistry. That's expected, since Claudio is pretty much the perfect base for any small wrestler to scramble around on and Orange is tremendous at fighting from underneath. This match definitely ruled, these are two of my favorite guys to watch anywhere right now and they had a fantastic TV bout that really had me questioning who would come out the winner. The post match was excellent as well, from Claudio's bitter disappointment to Moxley swarming all over Orange. Definite in ring highlight of the show for me.
1110.02.2024gaius218.0Sehr gutes Match.Starker Opener mit richtig guter Chemie zwischen beiden, gerade die DDT Swing Kombo war richtig sauber..Das Aftermath war absolut passend. ***3/4

1302.01.2024Screaming Enigma8.0Pretty fun opener here that capitalized well on the chemistry these two showed together the previous week in their Tag Team Match against each other with Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada. I think that both of them played their roles well and, while it is a shame to see Castagnoli take the loss, I also understand continuing Cassidy's reign after two short reigns from Jon Moxley and Rey Fénix.

5506.11.2023Kyledixon8.0Fantastic opener and the best that Claudio has ever looked in AEW with a dominating first period. It was like a superhero movie where your favourite hero goes up against a rogue who they are NOT ready for and get pummelled. You get that sense of doom which is what this match felt like in the first half. It meant Orange had to tap into the aggressive nature that has come out recently to even the odds. The DDT into Giant Swing counter was superb and Claudio rolling out of the ring after a Beach Break is a little thing that makes Claudio look like the veteran he is. Great finish too as Cassidy counters the pop-up uppercut into a hurricanrana pin to retain. I actually bought into Claudio winning so this surprised me in the best way. If Mox isnt ready to go, a rematch at Full Gear in a 2 out of 3 falls match would be great. ****

7504.11.2023Dune7.0Great match up until the finish. If you've seen previous OC title defenses, you've seen this one. Claudio dominates Orange for the duration of the match, OC makes a bit of a comeback, hits the orange punch, hits a beach break, and after multiple nearfalls, manages to squeeze out a victory with a rollup. After OC just got off the "my body is breaking down by defending this title" story, he gets to do the exact same thing with zero character growth or progression despite the story wrapping up cleanly at All Out. Good match, but disappointing from a creative perspective. Claudio going over would have probably led to something more interesting.

8004.11.2023Golden Lover8.02023 - These two have tremendous chemistry. Claudio is a world class base for smaller guys combine that with Orange Cassidy's fire, selling and great offense, you always get something good at the very least. Both men are having a fantastic year. ****

9004.11.2023GoldLiger8.0Sometimes you have to remember how many Chikara alumni are staples of AEW's upper midcard. Harder to forget is the inhuman strength of Claudio, which this whole match is built around. Claudio playing the no-nonsense heel that knows when to let the face's nonsense through and cut him off with massive power moves that make OC look absolutely weightless. OC's comebacks were very much what most of his first reign had, but against a guy like Claudio they looked as good as they ever have, and the finish was a slick and well-done way to retain. Great TV opener, and the setup for OC/Mox II after was rad. ***3/4
