Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez

[6.0] "This was an interesting match. Bringing in the deadly as ever Asuka who already wanted her title back against Roxanne Perez who was getting more aggressive than ever sounds like it wouldve been a good match. What we got was kinda satisfactory but lacking a lot. The characters did not match up to the action as Roxanne played plucky underdog going for roll ups after she damn near was trying to kill girls she didnt like a couple months prior like Blair Davenport. Asuka winning was good but it felt like it couldve been better for Roxanne to win. In the end it was a good match that never truly picked up between two of the best of their divisions."

[7.0] "I really enjoyed this match , more than other people did , but Roxanne has really weak strikes which at points drew me away from the match , Roxanne is good in the ring , but her strikes look as weak as a child , Asuka was a good base for Roxanne to try to fight against , Asuka beat Roxanne which makes sense , but I felt like it would have done more for Roxanne's career if she beat Asuka . Fine match but Roxanne kind of made the match bad at pints , Asuka is really good though and she deserves so much credit."

[6.0] "This was satisfactory, but I expected more from these two. It really felt like it was just getting started and hadn't exactly heated up yet and then it was over. I'm kind of split on the victor because yeah Asuka hasn't ever lost in NXT, but having the main roster talent go over the NXT talent on NXT kind of rubs me the wrong way too."

[6.0] "I would have liked a little more from this, but it was fun for what it was. I really wish these two got a little more time, but I also know there was a lot to do on this episode. I don't know what she's up to currently, but I would love to see Meiko Satmura face Asuka at some point. That would be a really hard-hitting match that could absolutely tear the house down."

[5.0] "Love both the girls but this didnt deliver like I thought it would. Didnt really get going at all, not sure if that was due to time or poor booking. Nothing bad, and Roxanne got plenty of offence in before the abrupt finish, but it couldve been something really special."

[5.0] "Asuka returns to NXT to face off against Roxanne Perez. This was a decent match, one that disappointed due to not having enough time to really get going. Roxanne got plenty of offense in before Asuka finally took her seriously and put her away with relative ease. Asuka showed respect to Roxanne after it was over, which really was the point of this. 5/10"

[6.0] "Seeing Asuka in NXT is always good, this time it was clear that they wanted to show off Roxanne to some extent, but obviously they were not going to make her win against the Japanese. I liked the fight, although I noticed many mistakes and especially a strange coordination, but I liked it and what I see worst of this fight was the time, just 6 minutes they gave them and that was the first fight of the night."

[5.0] "This was pretty disappointing. I like Roxanne but she didn't have a very good performance here. She really needs to work on her strikes, they look very weak. She really did not accomplish much against Asuka here, as there was never really any moment in the match where it felt like even a remote possibility that she could pull off the upset. The finish was very decisive. Also with noting is that Shotzi's commentary was extremely annoying at the start of the match and really undermined any sort of important feeling this could have had. This definitely could have been a lot better."

[6.0] "It's always good to see Asuka back in NXT. Although the match was nothing to write home about, and the outcome was totally predictable it was a very entertaining bout. I'm glad they gave Roxanne the opportunity to wrestle vs Asuka, you can tell they have a lot of confidence in her."

[9.0] "Really fun sprint, I don't get such a low rating, there was literally no botch, it wasn't sloppy at all and despite being short, Asuka made Roxanne look like a serious threat. From what we saw they have good chemistry so lets hope these two face each other again with more time to tell a better story next time."

[4.0] "After watching this match I experienced only one thing - disappointment. After a bunch of announcements of appearances and matches for todays episode, this is the fight I was really looking forward to, because its no secret that Roxanne is a talented girl, and Asuka certainly doesnt need an introduction. Therefore, I had the right to expect a pleasant sight. But the girls were given about 7 minutes and during this time nothing interesting happened. Even some kind of open cut at the end. Everything was very boring and passed slowly. And this is sad, because there was a level of expectation, but it was broken."

[7.0] "I thought these two did quite good for a 6 minutes match. A lot of good, dynamic, back and forth that mixed well the kicks and the more technical combinations. But what the point of bringing back Asuka for a 6 minutes match ? That way the finish felt a bit anticlimactic and make Roxanne kinda look weak, losing that fast. 7/10."

[5.0] "This felt like a fraction of what both are capable of despite my being a fan of both of them. Still a solid match but I did expect more on paper. They did not get a lot of time although they tried to make the most of what they got. It did at least make me want to see a rematch between the two of them down the line as they had good chemistry on display. It would also be nice for Asuka to stick around to make appearances in NXT but Im not sure if I expect that to happen. She does have a case of never having lost the NXT Womens title if she were to choose to. 5.5"

[5.0] "Unluckly it was soooo disappointing. The problem is not about six minutes of wrestling: there are many beautiful matches that lasted under five minutes and they were awesome. If you have such a short time for you, you have to fight with all your energies and pace. And they didn't. They used these six minutes as it was the beginning of a match with more time for them. The ending was anticlimatic and it came suddenly without a true climax. I'm sorry about that because it was a good opportunity to give freshness to Roxanne and because it was in the slot commercial free so more audience could see that."
