[5.0] "Will Osprey was really good at getting the quiet Togane, Chiba crowd into the match. Callum Newman's speed at running the ropes is so fast that he manages to run into Hiromu Takahashi during a leapfrog in the middle of the match. I'm really unsure how Newman manages to run the ropes at that speed without causing the boards to vibrate but whatever it is, he's pretty good at it. He may need to pull it back a smidge ahead of his (presumably at least) appearance at next year's Best of the Super Juniors. I like how Yota Tsuji has turned the stomp, not so much into a finisher, but more into an opportunistic aggressive move. Hiromu Takahashi puts Callum Newman away with the Time Bomb for the win."

[6.0] "The most impressive thing to me here was that Newman wrestled like he already decided that he belongs in NJPW ring - he didn't need a long acclimatisation period or earning someone else's permission, he knows that he's good enough and he knows what he got himself into, and already impressed in all three matches that he had in NJPW."

[6.0] "Another good match in the LIJ/UE feud, that only gets about ten minutes but everything makes sense and the action was strong. Ospreay V Tsuji is probably going to be the best match of the Destruction tour because just about all of their sequences have been gold so far and they are both super over with the crowd. Newman being the least experienced here held his own and didn't look out of place in here. One slight botch with Hiromu not getting enough height for a leapfrog but, Newman was able to quickly improvise to keep them from losing control. Hopefully we will get a singles match with Newman against a strong opponent to really see how he does without being able to rely on the best workers in the company ***1/4"
