[9.0] "[4.25*] Genius match. I read someone talking about this match saying that wrestling doesn't need to be good in order to be great and that's the definition about this match. Things already started perfectly when Mox entered absolutely wasted and order the crew to play Sweet Caroline again. Then he started dancing and singing like he was the fucking Joker, it was hilarious. The match started and this stip requires the wrestlers to take whiskey shots while they're wrestling a death match (wow! ), but Neil didn't take the majority of his shots, he just threw them away. He was sober when the match began and he used this strategy, while Jon was already drunk and kept drinking more and more and more. He did some really crazy shit on this match man LOL he literally put the safety of the fans on real jeopardy there. My belly hurt from start to finish because I was compulsively laughing and laughing and laughing nonstop. The finish was GENIUS. Mox started spinning Neil around like a madman and he actually fucking puked on himself, which just can't be simply "selling" but it's indeed a PERFECT way to sell the effects of the match. Then he just fell to the ground, Neil was smart and he took the win. Mox then started shooting on the Philadephia Eagles and just saying whatever. Incredible."

[9.0] "Absolutely incredible match, I don't think I've ever laughed this hard watching pro wrestling, unbelievable experience, and it's wonderful because you can't really tell for sure what's going on, if Moxley is fully drunk, if he's drunk but conscious, or if it's a total work, which would honestly make me baffled, but I think it's the middle option. This is a 'Whiskey Shots Taipei Death' match, and it's basically an unhinged bout where both guys have to take shots of whiskey while wrestling a death match... what can go wrong? The entire thing is hilarious, and even though Neil Diamond Cutter was drinking as well, this entire thing was about Moxley, he was absolutely hammered, ever since the beginning, he kept doing those crazy stuff and he was unintentionally hilarious, his selling was unbelievably awesome, even if he wasn't aware of that at the moment lmao. Mox was the star of the experience, he asked to play Sweet Caroline back right after his entrance, kept talking all the time, asking the microphone, and saying some hilarious shit, I was having the time of my life. The sense of realism of the match, due to the circumstances, was always incredible too, because they were heavily unpredictable, and Neil Diamond Cutter was even able to perform a subtle heel work, by refusing to drink the alcohol several times, he was cheating! Moxley lost after he kept spinning the guy around, and passed out for a moment, with Neil taking advantage and winning the match. That was just fantastic, a match that makes you feel lots of things, and one of the biggest laughs I've ever had - {****1/4}"

[8.0] "Simple concept makes for a very fun watch! Not just Mox singing Sweet Caroline (and nearly slipping), but the guy getting too big for his boots and always taking the shots, whilst Neil continues to pour them out, allowing Mox to get progressively more drunk and give Neil an easy advantage. Only in IWA:MS. ****"

[10.0] "I don't know what is my real rating for this match but the ending took this to a higher level and I laughed and I love when I enjoy something that much, that's an enough reason to give a match 10/10 in my opinion, but this wasn't just fun.. it was brilliant and funny and unique, those things are not really usual things, it don't happen that much, but this was just an experience that more people should talk about, Mox is just one of the best to ever do it. This was FUN, though I don't really like death matches but this was just different and way more than a death match, it's really about this. Having fun is the thing, one of the most enjoyable stuff I've ever seen in wrestling GENUINELY. One of the best matches ever, one of the best matches I've ever seen. PURE GOLD STUFF YOU'D FIND HERE IN THIS! , But hey Mox... What about the eagles ?"

[8.0] "Moxley's only deathmatch tournament match for Ian Rotten. This match is most notably known for Jon Moxley's entrance where he sings Sweet Caroline while being drunk as hell. The story is great and it's an underrated match in Moxley's independent career. Neil Diamond Cutter looks like a mix of Spike Dudley and Tank Abbot."

[8.0] "I love this match. In fact, this and Jon Moxley's entrance are the only 2 reasons I even wanted to watch this show. We see a completely sober Neil Diamond Cutter vs. an already wasted Jon Moxley as the match gets started. Moxley talks some shit before the match starts and was in control for a while. As they take more and more shots, Neil dumps them out behind the refs back (which the ref was looking, but that's a botch on the ref's end), giving Neil a slight advantage due to less alcohol in his system. Moxley blabs some drunk talk while beating the shit outta Neil before hitting an airplane spin and taking himself out. Neil sees that and pins Moxley for the win. While the match isn't extremely violent, I believe that the characters of both men help elevate it."

[5.0] "A funny match that is carried by Mox's character work but is nothing too crazy. They do some death match spots but for this to be the start of the death matches on the show no surprise they didn't go too crazy. **1/2"

[8.0] "This was a really fun match and a real breath of fresh air after the opener. The whiskey shots gimmick was a fun stipulation which Moxley really took advantage of. I loved how much he played up his drunkenness stumbling around the ring and rambling on the mic."
