Jonathan Gresham vs. Mike Bailey

[9.0] "The main event of session 1 and the best match of the show by a country mile. These two have split their first two matches in GCW while Bailey recently won BOLA by winning four matches in one day. Both men worked limbs with some killer stuff. Gresham went after Baileys leg with an ankle lock on the floor being extra brutal as he refused to let go in and out of the ring. Baileys target was the shoulder but his leg was certainly the loser in the battle. It played into the closing stages as Bailey struggled to put anything together. Gresham went for the Shooting Star Press but BAILEY GOT HIS KNEES UP! TORNADO KICK! FLAMINGO DRIVER! 1, 2, 3! Bailey wins a really great match. Search it out. ****1/2"

[7.0] "Mike bailey is so stupd when It's the matter of selling. He can't take enough time to sell a move. That's very disgusting. (***1/2)"

[7.0] "This match told a simple story well and action was good, but there was nothing that I've never seen before or really hooked me. Bailey's big comeback that led to the finish just didn't feel big - it felt like it was finally his turn to get his shit in and win."

[4.0] "Gresham does nothing impressive here and Bailey is charismatic, but they don't make magic or anything. People over inflate the ratings of anything Bailey does because they love him, and I do too, but man- Gresham can be a charisma blackhole"

[9.0] "Without a doubt, one of the best and longest-running Figure Four Leglock I've seen, the speed of the match was adequate, the public was quite active, the control of all the wrestling techniques felt quite good, mainly the technical style, also the lethal attacks were very notorious, there are moments in the match in which you can worry about the two protagonists, the final movement of the fight was fabulous. A great last dish."

[9.0] "These guys just make magic together. I had a feeling Bailey was going to win but Gresham worked Bailey's leg so thoroughly that I stopped believing it. Just a huge, huge match for a tournament first round!"

[8.0] "They are unable to deliver bad matches, and we all know that, waiting for their clash at Impact Wrestling. Mixture of striking and technical moves."

[9.0] "Awesome match between Bailey and Gresham as always when they face each other so I'm obviously not surprised but yeah this was a tremendous piece of wrestling between two guys who know the squared circle better than anyone and who always had a pretty crazy chemistry together so it was to be expected, two elite performers who make an absolute war without mercy for twenty minutes for my greatest happiness because I enjoyed every second of it and I wanted more and more I'm not gonna lie. Everything was tremendous in the way they did it, with obviously this psychology around Bailey's leg that Gresham worked perfectly but that especially Speedball sold it perfectly, his selling was really great and that's what I like about these two guys is that they are always thorough. So every time they face each other everything always makes sense and everything is so fluid, I really hope that the fans will take the time to watch this fantastic main event of the first session"

[9.0] "I knew this was going to be my sort of match when Speedball went for his somewhat overplayed but still pretty cool triangle moonsault and Gresham countered into an ankle lock on the outside, struggling with Speedball about every way possible for about two minutes. Just great work from both men, Gresham is fantastic in control and this is Bailey best selling since the Trey Miguel match at Against All Odds."

[9.0] "Absolutely insane match. Gresham was like a rabid dog with his attack on the ankle and knee of Speedball and Bailey was stiff as all hell with his strikes, Greshams shooting star press which bailey got his knees up for was amazing but Greshams face appeared to smash off the knees. How the hell Bailey is going to potentially wreste 3 more times is insane to me."
