[8.0] "A bloody war. A good fight between two crazy wrestlers that paints the mat bright red. The type of intensity you expect to see from a match like this and it avoids any overwrought kickouts."
[7.0] "The exchange of blows against the ring post is probably the toughest thing that happened here, the fighters were covered in blood and still beat each other on the metal and I just wanted to yell fight forever. It was very interesting to approach the feud and there was something to see. Really emotions overwhelmed everyone and even falling on their necks sometimes did not stop them. There was brutality and active wrestling in a mixed style. Fiery content."
[8.0] "Another hardcore war from the Callihan territory where EY fell down under the atmosphere despite being equally violent. Two brutally natured brawlers fought like they owed something for a long time and Callihan finally had a huge payoff with this win. He bounced back from almost being stuck in this pretty intriguing rivalry for a time. EY looked great as well wearing a huge crimson mask and elevating the match's motive to the next level. I liked the way it started with VBD assaulting Callihan to push him under jeopardy. The ending leaves another curious track from this rivalry to see what the future holds for VBD. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"
[8.0] "Great match. Great comeback for Callihan after starting off the match in the jeopardy position. Hard-hitting and violent. What more would you expect from these two?"
[8.0] "Would be a 9 if it werent for the slow pacing at the beginning. Incredibly harcore match, which is something you come to expect from the death machine."
[7.0] "EY bled buckets here. Very hardcore for IMPACT. I found this pretty good for these two crazy characters, and although it was a little too bloody for me, it fits well with the story between the two. The grab-and-twist by Sami that led to the win made me laugh, but it's also what ultimate dirtbag Sami would do to win. The ending leaves intrigue for the upcoming tapings."
[8.0] "Very good hardcore match between Callihan and Young here which was a real war between veterans who still know how to get in the ring and put on a good show to please the audience, not like some Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer dudes who are a disgrace to what IMPACT is doing this year and literally ruin it every time. No problem with that here as we have good workers who worked hard to make this main event a success and delivered a brutal match in which they took some pretty big bumps, their condition after this one says a lot about the beating they took anyway so I'm not making it up. I liked the creativity and intensity of the match but that doesn't surprise me with Callihan being a true specialist in this and rightly banking on this kind of match in his rivalries, I really enjoyed it and it would have deserved to take place at Over Drive."
[8.0] "Now, this is huge. Basically a death match in the main event of the third most important North American federation. Good job. The best thing is maybe the story with the Violent By Design but the match itself is great: bloody, crazy and full of storytelling."
