[5.0] "Cactus Jack was revealed as Dustin's mystery partner, much to the surprise of everyone in the studio. The revelation was neat, but was anyone really expecting the American Dream here? It was an acceptable big-names TV tag match by any means. All four men put on solid shifts, even if it was probably average by their standards. Foley disqualified his team after he brought a freakin' SNOW SHOVEL (! ) to fend off Windham and Orndorff, who were ganging up on Dustin. A promotional tool for the two respective rivalries more than anything, although as we know it, things would change quickly once we head further into the calendar year. [**1/4]"
[6.0] "The way they did the reveal of Cactus Jack as the mystery partner was amusing. I enjoyed the match. The crowd sounded invested and I liked the team of Windham and Orndorff. Everything was executed very well, with Orndorff in particular continuing to really impress me with how smooth he looks. It's unfortunate that the match ends in a DQ, but I can't be that let down by it when that DQ involved Cactus losing it and taking people out with a shovel. I'm happy to give this a positive rating largely just because of how good everybody here makes their offence look. The match itself is nothing groundbreaking, but the talent of those involved made it fun to watch all the same."
[5.0] "Why did they hype up the mystery partner to be Dusty, the body shape was nowhere near Dusty's to begin with. Completely unneeded. Outside of that, a basic tag match to build up two feuds at once. Nothing brilliant but nothing bad, just there."
[5.0] "A very skippable tag match in the Orndorff/Jack and Rhodes/Windham feud, and it's a shame because I actually think this match was going somewhere. Crowd was red hot, Jack seemed like exactly who they wanted to see, and I think Jack's choice to cause a DQ by bringing a weapon in the ring was ill-advised on the bookers part. It's a shame to see Windham go back to his gear when he looked so, so much better in street clothes at the PPV. Not much else to say: this is just an advertisement for Orndorff/Jack's future PPV match."
[5.0] "Average tag match with nothing too much to say. They were hyping up Dustin's mystery partner to be someone big like Dusty, which added a bit of tension in the lead up of this match. But it makes more sense to have had Cactus here. So I don't know how many people would've thought anything different at the time."
