Alex Windsor vs. Miyu Yamashita

[9.0] "Awesome match, I had the opportunity to saw it live, and it was an unique experience. The match had Alex as the heel and Miyu as the babyface, and they structured the match perfectly, with crazy nearfalls at the end. ****1/4"

[8.0] "Usually I'm very sceptical about women's matches when Japanese pro-wrestler faces a non-Japanese pro-wrestler outside of Japan, because I learned to always expect the worst, but Alex Windsor wrestled like she wanted this match to be a step forward in her career. Because Windsor wrestled in TJPW a week later, I think this was a 'test' match for her, and after this performance, there's no surprise to me why the decision was made to give her an International PoP title. Crowd was into both wrestlers and they were into everything they did from the start (Yamashita got noticeably comfortable very quickly, I think that's a big reason why her performance in this match was very good) so even though middle portion of this match could come across as 'moves for the sake of moves', but the crowd loved it and they were reacting bigger and bigger to all those near-falls. Finish came at the right time, and both wrestlers came out of this match looking better than they were coming in."

[8.0] "When I watched Alex Windsor's Tokyo Joshi debut, I thought it would be great if she wrestled Miyu Yamashita, having no idea that they actually wrestled against each other days prior. It was Miyu's best overseas showing yet, sharper and more refined than her match against Masha Slamovich and more varied and physical than her match against Miyuki Takase. Miyu showed a couple of tricks she hasn't used in Japan yet, such as a crucifix choke and a knee strike after Windsor caught her kick. ****"

[7.0] "I thought this was really good, but it never threatened to blow me away. You've got to think they have a much better match in them down the line."
