[5.0] "Exciting for the moment but unfortunately would mean very little as the whole Hardy stuff would be quickly dropped for no real reason. Nice surprise upset though."
[7.0] "I thought this was a solid story driven match where Jeff was looking for revenge for what happened to Lita on Raw, while Triple H was looking to punish Jeff for the Twist of Fate on Steph earlier. Jeff fights with a good sense of urgency early in the match where he gets a lot of his crash and burn offense, but as the match wore on he was looking outmatched against a far more experienced opponent in Triple H. Triple H underestimates his opponent where he tries to punish Jeff instead of trying to win and it costs him where he shoves the ref and Matt hits him with a chair and it's a smash and grab upset."
[6.0] "Jeff Hardy's first singles title win in WWE, and only major secondary title win in his first stint with the company. I always knew this had happened but never went back to watch it. Sad he only keeps the belt for a few days. Solidly worked with some on the nose storytelling from Triple H and enormous crowd support for Hardy. In Philadelphia right after Wrestlemania 17."
[7.0] "A pretty good sprint of a TV match on an Attitude Era SmackDown. Quite a major upset at the time (even with the interference aspect). It doesn't get much cooler than The Hardy Boyz & Jeff Hardy in particular! 3.5 out of 5 stars is my rating for this one."
[5.0] "Jeff Hardy's revenge for his brother and Lita was not long in coming, and he ran a cutter on Stephanie, enraging Triple H. The match was normal for TV and Matt's interference was the culmination of the triumph of the youngest IC champion in the history of this title."
