[6.0] "Couple things with this match.. its the only Cena/Taker match where they are faces besides the the short Mania squash.. However, Taker is being sort of controlled by Heyman with the urn, which means that he's the heel for the match. it doesn't really mean much til the finish but because of that, you don't get the best possible match these two can have.. in 2003, they have a great PPV match that is also 5 mins shorter than this match.. that's because partly length isn't everything and they had a clear story there. This story is Cena wanted revenge for a Taker attack but Taker just controls the match, hits him with his own chain and wins. So its pretty lacking in that regard. The work is enough to make it entertaining enough."

One of the most underrated Cena matches in his catalogue. Highly recommend. This match was perfect example of what made Cena the all timer he is today. 8.5/10"

[8.0] "Very rare match between these two after The Undertaker reverted back to his Deadman gimmick and it's interesting seeing the heel/face dynamic reversed from their 2003 feud. It's about as good and as physical a match as you would expect to see. Everything here looked like they was hitting really hard and the spot where Undertaker was thrown into the stairs looked particularly brutal because of that big gash on Undertaker's forearm. Unintentional, but it certainly added to the match. The ref bump took out Brian Hebner for a long period of time and Cena actually got the visual pin with an impressive looking 'FU' on the Undertaker. Taker using the chain to win was a surprising way to finish the match."

The story of John Cena being able to hang in the ring with The Undertaker was a good one, and even when Cena looks out of it he somehow fights back into it. Taker even has to hit Cena with a chain after hitting a chokeslam in order to ensure that Cena stays down. Good stuff.****"

Taker was good in his role on top and Cena was great in his survival mode and having to work from underneath. I did like the story and the ref bump was fine here given the story told and Taker ending up getting desperate to beat Cena was a nice touch as well. (***1/2)"
