[7.0] "This was pretty damn good especially in the last few minutes. Baker was relentless in her attacks while Statlander used her size to her advantage and they had some cool spots in the match. I mentioned in the review that Statlander didn't sell the attack on the floor. That attack on the floor was vicious, so she should be selling it and not going for a submission move right away. I think sometimes AEW wrestlers rush to go to the next spot and they don't sell the way they should."
[7.0] "This was a pretty decent one Britt and Kris have good chemistry and it makes for a rather enjoyable match. Kris went for a moonsault type thing off the appron which ended up being her undoing as shed eat a curbstomp then with orange yelling at her to get up she tries to lock in her submission but britt fights out with kicks, and then hits Pittsburgh Sunrise and then Lockjaw for the win"
[8.0] "This is probably Britt's best match in AEW and it's no surprise that it's against Statlander (and Stat herself wasn't a finished product yet). Her matches during her run was forgettable but this one was really good."
[8.0] "I loved this match so much. they both had very good chemistry here. And both girls brought it thanks to the importance of this ppv. Glad OC wasn't just there simply existing. The Panama Sunrise was such a right move to do here as well. There's so much good in the match that my only negativity is that it this could've had more time. And what happened to D.M.D. these days?"
[8.0] "This was actually a very good match. With the quality of work Britt Baker has been putting on in 2024, I expected this match to be an overrated mess. However, I see why she was talked about so much back in the day. She is a very good worker in this match and some of the moves she was pulling off had my jaw genuinely dropped at times. Both women put on a good quality match. It wasnt perfect, I would need more violence or emotion to get a 10, but this a great match despite both wrestlers not seen much in 2024. Also, the AEW womens world title look so much better in 2024. These belts look like toys but the belts in 2024 have a beautiful design and might even look better than the AEW mens world title."
[9.0] "This was brilliant stuff. Baker underestimating the fighting spirit of Statlander who kicked out of every move possible. It was only when Baker used her intelligence and avoided Statlanders high impact moves so she could finally hit the lockjaw that helped her win, which is both good heel work and smart booking protecting both of these women. Moves themselves were a lot of fun to watch too, high spots fused perfectly with technical mat work."
[7.0] "This was the Statlander show for this one. The match was good, however I give Britt little credit because she seems to just copy Adam Cole in a lazier fashion, however I did like Kris in this match and I hope to see her win the Women's World Title at some point."
[8.0] "I like watching both ladies go in the ring, but Statlander needed more time before a title shot. It was too soon for her and she needs more development. I think she will win a major women's title one day, but she wasn't ready for it here. Britt Baker has done well carrying the women's division on her back, but if rumors are true, she needs an ego check or she will be out the door. Still, this was a very good title defense for her with good back and forth action."
[8.0] "Britt shows some awesome aggression and Stat is so crazy strong. Really great chemistry between these two, and while it takes a second to get going, it really gets going. Seeing how Cassidy and later Adam Cole would play into the match was really awesome. A great time."
[2.0] "Britt Baker doing all of her boyfriend's moves except very slowly and Orange Cassidy having to give Kris Statlander the power to continue on and beat the ten count were really eye-rolling and ruined this match for me, but even beyond that it's not like they were exactly doing anything special anyway. The OC spot in particular is just like... why even waste that spot on a match where the babyface loses? Years later I think it is safe to say it never amounted to anything beyond that and she's kinda drifted ever since."
[9.0] "It's easily the best match during Baker's reign as AEW Women's World champion and she and Statlander had a great match here all things considered."
[9.0] "Don't know what it is about this match but i really enjoyed it and got into a lot more than other people. This was Britt at her best and Statlander put on an incredible performance but my favourite moment's gotta be when Cassidy screamed at Statlander to make the count."
[8.0] "I really liked this match. Britt was ruthless doing moves like Canadian Destroyers and Curb Stomps to Kris and Kris had some amazing comebacks that had me on the edge of my seat. Britt was too much and tapped out Statlander."
[7.0] "Good match: Britt's offense looked brutal and Statlander had some very good comebacks. The Pittsburgh sunrise by Baker was beautiful and the curb stomp on the outside was sick. Statlander was a great babyface, looked like a star and took some nasty bumps and this remains of Britt's best individual perfomances. 7/10 - 3.5*/5*"
[5.0] "I think this match shows a ton of improvement in these two but I still just don't have anything to latch onto, I don't know if the characters are just too disconnected from anything for me to care about them or if its a lack of charisma, but it's really hard for me to care about either of these women. It's easier for me to get invested when Baker's against someone like Riho or Sakura or even Nyla Rose. But I really do think Statlander in ring is miles better here than in any match I've seen her in before this."
[8.0] "The second best PPV match, one of the best performances of Britt Baker's career who delivered the best match of her reign on this show, great performance by Statlander also by the way (****1/4)"
[5.0] "A moment immediately wasted with Orange Cassidy. I remember dying of boredon with this match. Kinda sad, because Kris became a generic midcarder after this and never recovered"
[7.0] "This is arguably one of Dr. Britt Baker's best fights as AEW Women's World Champion, especially a good fight because she had Kris Statlander in front of her, one of the most underrated fights."
[7.0] "From Britt's perspective , this was one of her best in-ring performances from a relative view-point. Statlander has the strength advantage, her stature is well-built and a ripped physique as well as the hot babyface persona and also very agile , flexible, and quick. From this standpoint considering her abilities, she is reminiscent to that of a tiger. Britt on the other hand is a opportunist and strategist heel figure making most of the little chances provided that has proven beneficial to her time in and time out. Kind of resembling the clever and sly fox. A brains vs brawn dynamic and after the outcome brain does prove to have a edge over the brawn. It had a smooth and comfortable flow that moved it forwards. Not much outside interruption which was a welcomed approach here. Kris using her coarse strength to hit the super-plex on Britt was cool. The final moments were very good with Kris missing the apron moon-sault and landing on her back in what looked like a nasty bump. Additionally, the more effective curb-stomp as Britt launches herself from the steel steps. Cassidy motivating Statlander screaming at the top of his lungs was a great moment and very cute too. Britt hits Statlander with the Pittsburgh sunrise inspired from her boyfriend 'Adam Cole Baybay' followed by a curb-stomp, but to her awe Statlander still manages to barely kick-out thus reflecting her adrenaline and instinct keeping her alive in this bout. However, the lock-jaw is the final nail in the coffin to Statlander's campaign and pursuit for the AEW World women's championship. Impressive content and the AEW women's division delivered on the big night when it was needed the most. ***3/4"
[9.0] "Ladies put on one hell of a performance here ! You could feel the energy and the packed action! Kris Statlander proved she's on a big level I loved the job she's done here! An' dude the moment of that match goes to DMD unleashing the Pittsburgh Sunrise outta nowhere bringing all of us down ! She gave us a big hint about her boyfriend Adam Cole joining the company hours later on the same show !"
[8.0] "A very cool match. Kris is a f*cking star, and Britt made this match more charismatic and more technical. Orange Cassidy, who screams and charges a Statlander, is something. A killer ending, a good reference to Adam Cole and just an unkillable Kris at the end.***3/4"
[7.0] "This was a good match, but not great. Both women wrestled well, but I think Statlander suffered from the mediocre build in this one, and it was hard to really imagine her going over on Baker. Britt has been built up more by AEW than any other woman in the company, and her opponents would definitely benefit from some of the same kind of investment."
[7.0] "This was a pretty fun match but suffered because none really bought that Stanlandef was going to win but this was still enjoyable. Orange breaking character to scream at Kris was ace and emphasised the importance of the match."
[7.0] "Pretty good match. I haven't been super in love with Britt's run as champion match quality wise ( :( I miss Shida) but Kris and Britt put together a pretty alright match. No complaints here, especially since I'm counting down the days until we get the rematch between Britt and Thunder Rosa. I'll be all over that match, Brother."
[6.0] "When this match was Kris Statlander doing cool moves it was fun. They tried to inject some drama with Orange Cassidy that just didn't play to the level I think they wanted, but it was a good showing for Statlander."
[7.0] "Good match. Kris proved to be a better opponent for Britt than Red Velvet on the maiden Rampage, and is surely a future champ in her own right but this match was always going to be the Britt Baker show and both women did all that was required of them."
[4.0] "Statlander looked great here, so much so to see her basically hit all these cool spots and then just lose to a lame finish was disappointing, but regardless of that there wasn't much meat on this bone."
[8.0] "Surely the match that cimented the place of Baker. Without being exceptionnal or just flashy, that was effective as hell. Statlander's performance adds even more to this match. Great sequences where each women was on point, that moment with Cassidy was great. Even the laziest motherfucker came to blow for the good of her partner. The ending was strong, bay bay."
[4.0] "I don't think this was bad, just not very interesting. Adequate is I think a great way to describe it. My main problem is there was really nothing driving the match thanks to a bad build. Orange Cassidy giving Statlander support by breaking his cool would have played a lot better if this match felt like it was anything other than just an obligatory women's title defense on this card."
[5.0] "Some clunky spots for sure in the opening before it wisely just turned into Kris Statlander doing cool stuff but then Britt just hits her moves and wins clean. Not bad but pretty forgettable."
[6.0] "Took a while to get going, but it turned into a real good match that got the crowd really into it by the end. The Panama Sunrise was a nice little touch. [***]"
[7.0] "Statlander stood no chance here but this match really surprised me in a good way - I know Statlander is talented but there was some surprisingly effective storytelling here and the Orange Cassidy hype-up moment was truly unique and played well in subverting expectations and respecting character relationships. I'm excited to see where Statlander is in a year or two."
[7.0] "One of the better matches of these two. Some nice spots, liked the structure of the match. There was some sloppiness and some minor things, but all in all very good match."
[8.0] "What a great match this was! I loved just how ruthless Britt seemed, especially towards the end. She hit move after move, never giving Kris a chance to breathe. I also really liked that Rebel and Jamie didn't get involved. Not every heel needs to rely on stooges all the time, especially in big match scenarios. The best compliment I can give this is that it felt like a real fight. Neither wrestler seemed content to stand around and just let their opponent hit a move: every moment was a struggle for superiority. They didn't neglect the story either, with Orange Cassidy showing a rare display of fire to encourage Kris, and Britt hitting that beautiful Panama Sunrise which, in hindsight, foreshadowed the events at the end of the show. Highly recommended."
[6.0] "This match looked great in the replay, because all of the big spots and moments paid off. Some silly stuff like Kris' moonsault being easily dodged by Britt, and Britt's first stomp not hitting. Britt's still not totally captivating in those quieter 'working over' periods."
[7.0] "This was so much better than I anticipated. I had only seen Statlander in matches on Dark, and they were all pretty poor. Baker lives up to the reputation of being sloppy, and overall, just not very good. She's got the character but not the ability to be in the position she is in. I feel like Statlander really carried this match, and this made me a fan."
[8.0] "Very fun and great action here that shows why Baker is a star. Baker still needs improving in some areas but in the ring with another solid superstar like Statlander and there good to go. The ending was great as well and both came across like superstars."
[4.0] "Solid defense, though Baker felt like a nonfactor through the whole thing until the end. Statlander had a lot of moments that made her look great that got a polite but quiet crowd more into it by the end, but then Baker just hit her moves and won. Nothing too interesting but it didn't overstay its welcome."
[7.0] "Another solid match to get the show going. This one could've used at least even a little bit of build considering AEW's women's division is one of their weaker points and they don't have a whole lot of women that can work great matches with Britt, Statlander being one of them. Statlander is a beast, using her strength to great effect in this match, but the lack of build prevents this match from being anything more than a serviceable encounter to keep the crowd invested, which it definitely does. ***1/2"
[8.0] "Very fun match. While lacking in some parts, the match quickly turns into a fantastic show of skills from both Kris and Britt. Some spots had me in shock. Kris herself proved why she can be considered one of the best women in AEW's roster."
[9.0] "Absolutely fantastic match. Statlander's power game is sensational, both women have off-the-charts charisma and they gelled together seamlessly here. Some wonderful storytelling moments and fantastic transitions, and it was awesome to see them fight to a completely clean finish. This match was gripping and had me on the edge of my seat for much of the final moments. These two are probably the best fixtures of their division and they put on an absolute clinic. Brilliant stuff."
[9.0] "Great women's match I thought, not only very strong in ring action but also such a strong element of character, Britt has such a big personality and Statlander has this innate charisma, they really did well here."
[8.0] "Wow, what a turnout for Kris Statlander. They both pulled out a deep bag of tricks, and Britt showed just what a canny heel she is. Worked from beginning to end"
[5.0] "Biggest deception of the night here. I was expecting this one to really give the opportunity to Statlander to shine but I feel like I didn't see her in this match. Still decent but far away from my expectations for a World title match. [56] ** 3/4- This title need to change hands.."
[8.0] "Very good match between Baker and Statlander here, a match that completely surpassed my expectations which were lower since I'm not a fan of Britt Baker at all, I find her very average in the ring and I'm sure she could put on a performance like this every time but she doesn't always have the best opponents. Rose & Velvet are really green so they didn't do anything against Britt but Statlander got the best out of the champion and it was so cool, it was just a well-worked bout from the first to the last second. Both performed at a high level for eleven minutes, they never let up and there was a strong intensity, the crowd was really into it and it was a blast to watch. Now it's off to Ruby Soho vs. Britt Baker, can't wait."
[7.0] "One of Baker's better matches in a long long time. Statlander looked great and the mistakes weren't too costly. Refreshing to see a conclusive end to an overall solid match."
[7.0] "I thought everything about this match was deserving of being on the best PPV of the year thus far. The story and build were tremendous, the emotional eruption by Orange Cassidy made my wife and I pop, and the wrestling was actually quite impressive. Dr. Britt Baker D. M. D. is obviously an incredible character, but she has made remarkable leaps as a wrestler since her "AEW debut" at All In. Kris Statlander has all of the tools to one day lead this division. As for the match itself, I think it has all of the potential to be a rematch down the road that even exceeds what they did at All Out. A highlight of the night for sure. 3. 5 stars, 7 out of 10. Damn good match."
[8.0] "They worked really hard to wake up a rather quiet crowd and crafted a really well-built match with good character work and some great sequences. The finish was fantastic too. (***3/4)"
[5.0] "Having pretty much disliked everything Britt Baker and Kris Statlander have done in ring over the last 12-18 months, I didn't exactly have high expectations for this one, but to give credit where it's due, it actually wasn't bad at all and saw improvements in both. Still not the level I expect for a Women's World Title match, but was decent enough."
[3.0] "Thought that this was pretty rough & awkward in many moments, and overall it kinda failed to capture my full attention at any point. I did dig the Curb Stomp on the outside though, and the last few minutes were solid, I guess."
