[8.0] "I loved the previous match between Danielson and Jacobs, and while this wasn't at that level I still thought it was pretty great. Their contrasting styles make for interesting storytelling, as they do a very good job making it clear that while Danielson is technically superior, Jacobs is always scrappy and resourceful enough to stay in the fight. The knee injury added another dimension to this and was sold very well by Bryan. A really well executed and effective match with a nice finish."

Danielson does a fantastic sell job here, selling the knee until the very end (and still selling while walking back to the dressing room.) The finish is clever and unexpected with Jacobs using the ropes to get out of a Triangle Choke and pin Danielson."

[7.0] "This match, on a technical level, was incredible. Danielson and Jacobs are top notch performers and the maneuvers were incredible as usual. The concept itself is also pretty brilliant if you ask me: Danielson is feeling cocky, now that Jacobs is without his infamous "spike" and is technically unable to cheat his way through the incoming match (at least not as easily as he could before). Danielson believes it cements his victory and so he enters almighty, proud, confident and playful, only for Jacobs to beat him by sheer talent and for Danielson to reflect on whether he should've taken Jacobs more seriously before it was too late. It's a nice touch to Danielson's development. However, I did feel like his cockiness at the beginning of the match was kinda far-fetched. Danielson can be proud and almighty, no doubt about it (he's the "best in the world" after all), but knowing that there's a chance he might lose twice to Jacobs should've made him more careful and certainly less playful during the match in my opinion. Eventually, neither did it feel as genuine to the concept as it could've been and neither was I surprised to see him lose. Still, the idea of Danielson slowly understanding the pickle he's in too late (when his knee is wounded) was well performed during the match. Overall, this match was still pretty good and the story was relatively coherent, so this match wasn't bad at all. In fact, it was good and I've enjoyed it nevertheless."

[8.0] "Great psychology surrounding Danielson's knee, and it made Jimmy's (rare) win seem like a wholly legitimate product of Jimmy's hard work rather than a fluke. ***3/4"
