[7.0] "Shame that this match is incomplete to watch. Tsuruta as the ultimate veteran villain is a joy, The Super Generation Army looks to take down the old guard but the experience hits the most in this match, is a great warm up, Kobashi is a second character while Kikuchi is the man to feed Tsuruta. Great tag match but not incredible to a rewatch. ***/50"

[8.0] "I got into this in a big way, there is just something there about young Kenta Kobashi, of course it is when he was most athletic, that moonsault might just be the best ever (sorry Christopher Daniels), but there is just a charm that I haven't seen many replicate, not even himself in later years, not to say he gets bad (well, not until really late I imagine), but here there is just a joy seeing him take every inch he can get, and he is just so damn likeable, but another person who does share that quality, though somewhat different, especially knowing this is his peak really is Tsuyoshi Kikuchi, who has the little guy aspect to him (for a wrestler, typical build for an average person), but here he is smaller, and still tries his damnedest, and comes close, even against a guy like Tsuruta, which makes it all the more heartbreaking when he can't do it, of course few can, but he is certainly not one of them, he finds his best success setting up for Kobashi, rather than the man to actually defeat the big opponent, in this case they don't. Tsuruta and Fuchi are more on the opposite end, the guys on top of their respective divisions, and knocking down those who are coming for their spot, they will give way eventually, it always happens, they did it to others on their come up, but that doesn't mean they won't do all that they can to tear down the competition. It is interesting to see who we side with, I tend to go for the Kobashi/Kikuchi team, despite generally favouring the Tsuruta-gun type of guys, not just them as a unit, but also Tenryu, No Fear, Kawada when he froms Holy Demon Army, or for more modern examples: Minoru Suzuki, Aussie Open and guys of those ilk, a lot of the time they aren't even really heels, its easy to think of them as utter bastards. In this match its easy to hate Fuchi for breaking a hold, or Tsuruta for taking full advantage of the outside rules. Holding onto the top spot is just as valid is getting it, of course it is, it is supposed to be a 'sport', so whoever is best is best, but here I am all for SGA, they are a joy to watch, and though I do love seeing the Tsuruta-gun guys use their 'cruel' offense in the moment, it makes me root for the SGA team all the more."

[7.0] "JIP of the last eight-or-so minutes, but a fun one. Kikuchi gets some hurt on him from Jumbo on the outside, but musters enough gas to hit Fuchi with a flying headbutt and a hot tag to Kobashi. Kobashi is HOT when he enters, and it's great, but Jumbo comes in to disrupt the momentum. Kikuchi returns for some nice stuff with Fuchi, but when Jumbo comes back in, he can't last, and Jumbo lariats him for the win. Nice little slice of action here."
