[7.0] "This was such a good, fun match. Considering it was the main event on a weekly program at the time, it makes it even better. Hell, you don't even see PPV matches this good across many of the PPVs back then. There was a good, solid amount of action. There were a few lulls, but nothing that put me to sleep. As a whole, the two wrestlers played their cards right at the right time. The crowd was into it. While I'm not a big fan of disqualification endings, I actually liked this one; the whole ending was a fantastic work of storytelling, so kudos to whoever called those last moves and said the ref should catch Windham throwing Steamboat over the top rope. The post-match brawl was fantastic, too, right before the end of the show. If you're looking for a nice, entertaining match from WCW (especially one from a TV episode and not a PPV) in 1993, this is definitely one to watch. Will it be memorable after a few days? Probably not. But that doesn't make this any less entertaining. 7/10"

[9.0] "Another great match involving these two, as the calendar flips over in 1993. These two are wonderful opponents for each other and I think this match is highly underrated, even with Windham getting tilted and taking his ball home with a DQ finish."

[7.0] "Awesome work in this match, where it really communicated that these two were making concentrated efforts to walk away victorious. After a couple of minutes, it settles into respective limb work, with both men having portions of control working on each other's arms, which features some neat stuff, especially from Barry and the way he'd go back to the arm to reestablish control. The rest of the match, Barry is the more dominant, even setting his sights on Steamboat's leg this time, which Ricky tries to return the favor, but his efforts aren't as successful. Steamboat's selling was fantastic, and his flashes of babyface hope during his attempts to turn the tide throughout are fantastic, which built nicely to his heroic comeback at the end, even if sadly he had to signal for the crowd to cheer him on rather than them being immersed in the moment. ***3/4"

[7.0] "Strong TV main event, with a double feature of duelling limb work. The atmosphere and setting prevent this from ever truly soaring, but the level of work and psychology come impressively close to escaping those limitations. Whether they're exchanging work on the arm or the legs, the action is noticeably focused, escalating gradually until a late surge in physicality. It's a very workmanlike match, but one armed with a chemistry that makes more expansive sequels more enticing. Unfortunately, those would never truly arrive, but this is very good nonetheless. ***1/2"

[7.0] "This was really good for the most part. The early going in particular was pretty great, with both men bringing a lot of fire to create some really heated exchanges. It loses momentum a little once they settle into the limb work, but it feels like they're building to an exciting climax. It all comes apart at the end unfortunately, as Steamboat abruptly stops selling the leg (he goes from being unable to stand to jumping right onto it from the top rope without so much as registering any pain, which is really not what I expect from Steamboat), and then we get a really lame finish. Even Windham missed a stomp off the apron by a mile. It's a really disappointing conclusion to what was otherwise shaping up to he a very strong main event."

[8.0] "For a random episode of WCW Saturday Night, this was fantastic stuff. There were issues between those guys from the tag title match at the previous Clash of the Champions, in which Barry turned heel on his partner Dustin Rhodes, so I was excited to see them clash in this tournament. They had over 20 minutes of air time overall, and they made the most of every single second. The action was amazing, with Windham targeting Steamboat's left arm for the first few minutes, which infuriated Steamboat and made him viciously target Windham's left arm as well. Stuff like Steamboat getting lost in the moment, as he's so angry and determined to hurt Barry's left arm in return that he hurts his own arm on an elbowdrop onto Barry's arm is exactly my cup of coffee! Steamboat eventually uses his legs to hurt Windham's arm, which was a perfect touch. Steamboat's babyface selling is truly something to behold! This was a great matchup with a rather (understandably) weak finish to the match, although they make up for it in the end with an awesome post-match angle. Steamboat's partner and fellow tag champion Shane Douglas came out for the save, which brought the Hollywood Blondes in for the attack, as they were challenging for the belts a few days later at the Clash. Dustin Rhodes comes in to even the odds and eventually Steamboat and Douglas clean house and stand tall. The match itself was amazing, but this deserves a few extra points for everything that happened here. This advanced a number of feuds all at once, and made me interested in the tag title match at Clash but also in the tournament's final between Steamboat and Dustin Rhodes. Great piece of business here! [***3/4]"

[7.0] "Ooh this was a super fun match that revolved around two dueling strategies - Steamboat goes for the arm while Windham goes for the leg. And both wrestlers? selling was really good and put the work over more so. I love watching Steamboat throw his chops while he? s in retreat or on the defensive, he makes it look so great. His opponent looks like killers for putting him in that situation but being able to take the chops and Steamboat looks like a never say die face. ***1/2"
