Akira Taue & Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Steve Williams & Terry Gordy

[7.0] "This was a pretty good big man match. Jumbo has his best performance I've seen of the short, late-92 decline period, and his charisma is as reliable as ever, but this is Taue's time to shine as he pins Gordy for the victory. Maybe a bit long, but I had fun with this one."

[5.0] "Sadly, this is just yet another Miracle Violence Connection match that doesn't live up to snuff. Kobashi being the focus was neat, especially coming off a Misawa title win. There just wasn't much to gravitate to. The crowd heat was tepid, really and it's like the MVC felt it and matched it for quality. Fine but disappointing. **3/4"

[5.0] "A fine match, but one that was far too long. Jumbo and Taue worked a nice aggressive style as they smacked Williams and Gordy around. Williams and Gordy were unfortunately on more of the boring side here with their dull brawl work and lack of fire. They had some decent holds and strikes, but it didnt feel like there was much behind them, and they often looked quite sloppy. Jumbo and Taue, by contrast, were always far more interesting, whether they were in control or the ones being controlled. Everyone upped their energy for the final 10 minutes, thankfully including Williams and Gordy. Jumbo and Taue continued to show good fire as they began running through their tag spots and big individual spots to try finally finish the match. Gordy and Williams, being such big guys, couldn't exactly bump properly so as to put over Jumbo and Taue's power moves, so Jumbo and Taue's work in the final few minutes wasn't the most convincing as a result. **3/4"

[6.0] "This was a nice, rugged match. It was solid, if a little sloppy in places, but still otherwise engaging."

[8.0] "Good match (although at times sloppy) with a hot ending. Very good heel performances by Gordy and Dr. Death"
