[5.0] "Not bad, with Andre The Giant returning (in which I think was his last WrestleMania appearance and PPV appearance in WWF) and going after Bobby Heenan, Big Boss Man and Mr Perfect both did a good work in ring but the crowd was only reacting more to the return of Andre than the match, so I think it's a 5/10 [***1/4]"

[5.0] "[2.5*] I actually liked a lot of things about this match. The dynamic was fun, crowd was nice, selling was excellent (specially by Perfect). Loved the bumping here, it gave life to the match. Andre's return was awesome and I popped a lot too. The finish sucked, I'd have made Andre help Boss Man to win, this Haku & Barbarian interference was anticlimactic and the post-match brawl was whatever. Boss Man celebrating the DQ win was weird too lol."

Andre coming down to help Boss Man made sense with what happened last Mania. Wish they had a better finish then the rest of the Heenan Family interfering for the DQ."

[6.0] "This should have been so much better as Boss Man was great in this era as the big babyface and Perfect would usually bump around and make anything into a good match. They started off well enough but it's like they toned it down in advance of the stupid DQ interference they knew was coming. Good for a little while but Andre killed what could have been a hidden gem."

The match was truly fire, until they had the run in, and we never get the WrestleMania gem that the universe deserved. You can see the tease, too, as the fight progresses, Hennig showing off his magic and why he might have been the best guy in the locker room, while Boss-Man proving the world that big men can pull crazy moves too. Vince really did not care about the IC title."

Great bit of storytelling and continuity with Andre the Giant emerging to help the Boss Man as he had a falling out with Heenan a year earlier and hadn't really been seen since then."

My favourite part might have actually been Heenan playing innocent before cheap shotting Bossman on the outside - classic. Andre's involvement helps to make this feel like it belongs at WrestleMania, but unfortunately the finish is very underwhelming and definitely not WM worthy."

[5.0] "A strong match that I might have even given 6 points to without the poor DQ finish. Honestly, while this match was always good, after the quick start, I don't feel like this match every truly got into gear like it should have. Bossman is athletic as always, and Perfect shows fantastic offense, but there was just something that felt missing in their performance. Andre was put in a masterful spot here, too. His sly demeanor when he crushes Perfect with the belt still brings a smile to my face, even though I know it's coming. He was a really good fit for this match. Definitely an enjoyable match that elevates this card, but I can't help but to be left feeling that maybe it should have been something a little more."

I think this one is punished for it's DQ finish, but it felt more appropriate here than a lot of other matches. I did find myself wanting Boss Man to win here but at least he still looks great coming out of this, and it works out better in the long run. Boss Man vs Heenan was fun stuff."

The start was maginifcent with Boss Man impressing me with his speed and agility, while Hennig did his thing with incredible bumping throughout the whole match."

Giantfan1980 wrote on 09.04.2022:
[5.0] "Very disappointing end to the Bossman/Heenan Family feud. Bossman ends up winning by DQ and the peak of his WWF career as he just became more midcard filler until leaving in 93. Bossman should have won the title here, dropped it back to Perfect a few weeks/months later after the Mountie interfered and then you can go along with the Bossman/Mountie feud and Perfect has his belt back for his program with Hart. Just didn't live up to the story of Bossman chasing Heenan and going through family members for months to end on such a crap note."

[6.0] "Good match between two hungry young athletes who were determined to put on a show. I would've liked a clean finish obviously, but I can understand them wanting to keep the IC title on Perfect. Bossman was able to get his revenge on Bobby Heenan, who he was really feuding with, and the Andre run-in was really cool to see. Good stuff. [***]"

[6.0] "Perfect's selling here got a bit too silly for my tastes. He flips inside out from a Bossman punch and it reminded me of when Shawn Michaels tried to sabotage his match with Hogan by flopping all over the place. After Heenan and Perfect bend the rules, a haggard-looking Andre The Giant comes down to even the odds. After Bossman looks like he has this won, Haku and Barbarian rush the ring and cause the disqualification. Bossman and Andre stand tall after the heels are fought off. Even with the naff non-finish, this was a fun, overbooked match with a molten-hot crowd."

It's an amazing combination of Bossman's great offense with Perfect's beautiful bumping. Maybe not a workrate classic but highly recommended for anyone who likes the particular fun this era offers."
