[4.0] "Max Caster goes straight to rapping himself out of his contract during his entrance and, aside from that, gives us absolutely no reason to credit him with the win here. Moose is certainly far from his best, but he does take defensive risk occasionally--like that bump on the stairs. Overall, though, this is nothing special and not really PPV quality."
[6.0] "I actually thought this was a borderline good match, ignoring the rap incident. Caster somehow went toe to toe with Moose even though he is presented like a comedy jobber. Good finish with the crowd firmly behind Moose before he hits his spear."
[4.0] "Very rare for me but I actually enjoyed the beginning of this match more than the back half. Just tried making this match be something it never was gonna be. (**1/2)"
"They just fired Max Caster's ass off of TNA for that promo he cutted referencing a lot of bad stuff. But I didn't watch the full match that Moose and Max Caster did only some highlights but I think it was kind of boring though. The crowd wasn't really into it they weren't booing or cheering they just were absolutely silent sometimes during that match and I don't know about this match but it's kind not of good at all. Since you know the Max Caster drama and stuff impacting this match before it even happened so yeah I'm gonna rate it later. But anyway this match was just not good so yeah."
[2.0] "So, Max had his first and last TNA match. The only reason I'm watching this is because of that fact. Bro is probably regretting that rap line now, doesn't he? The overall match was boring; not a single thing in-ring-wise is worth remembering. I don't like Max at all, but I will admit that maybe four to five maneuvers he did were decent. Moose is good with certain opponents, but man, Moose didn't even try here at times; his chops were good, but that's really it, honestly. It felt like Moose was half-assing it here."
[3.0] "It takes a lot to make Max Caster look like the better wrestler in a match but my god, Moose has found a way to do the impossible. I haven't watched TNA in a while and heard about this so I had to see. Just incredibly pointless with little to no wrestling smarts. Max looked fine. Not trying to harp on him to much but moose really stunk it up. His spear looked noticeably worse here too. That suplex he gave Max off the turnbuckle didn't look good at all. They're incredibly basic moves so it's a bit surprising when moose harps on about how great and athletic he is. (Did you know he was a football player? /s) Match also had no business being 11 minutes. Also not sure why they announced Max instead of letting it be a surprise. Also why in the world did they not check his lines for his rap beforehand? lol"
[5.0] "Not sure what the point of all this was and we probably won't ever know with Caster gone from the company. Moose gets a pointless win and Caster loses his debut. Moose didn't look good, Caster looked okay, some good bumps though here and there."
"(7/10): I think that my expectations going in were low like everyone's, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was shocked when it was revealed that Max was a mere few inches shorter than Moose. He looked like he's been hitting the gym & his sense of urgency, crisp execution, & ability to put his status as a silly jobber behind him to go toe to toe with this veritable force of nature was excellent. Moose was genuinely an odd choice for Max's first match back & they'd have been better off having him face someone like Bear, Francis, or Aichner so that he could have had an opening win, as opposed to having him lose in his debut, which is something that's becoming more common in the business these days & I'll never understand why. Many people are rating this under the impression that Max is destined to be a jobber for life just because his ex-employer booked him very poorly for over a year & it's totally unfair."
[6.0] "A good, completely fine match put on by both men, even with Moose winning over Max Caster on his TNA debut, but there was some respect there, and I feel like there were no stakes to the match. Moose is one of the 'TNA guys' they've got who they can just chuck int a match and have a solid match. I don't know a huge amount about Caster, but I like him from what I saw here, and his rapping as he came to the ring was fun. No stakes, but just a bit of fun was nice to see, but it doesn't feel like a Bound for Glory match. ***"
[2.0] "TNA commits a task failed successfully piece of booking. Neither Moose nor Max look like they're worth having on the roster here. Brilliant, simply brilliant. It's consistent with what that place has done for two decades."
[3.0] "Really funny match all in all. Max might have cost his whole TNA run within the first few lines of his rap and then you have this match where we are supposed to take him seriously against Moose. Way longer than it had any right to be"
[4.0] "Max Caster mostly does what he needs to, but is far from a ring general. Moose isn't that great of a worker to me, so this was always gonna be middling at best."
[6.0] "This match could've been alot better. Moose is just not good but to me Caster looked pretty solid here. Hitting some nice moves and taking some big bumps but this really didn't do anything for anyone if I'm being honest. Caster losing is very questionable here"
[2.0] "Well, that was a complete failure to get the point of a gimmick if there ever was one. The entire point of the "Best Wrestler Alive" is that Max does some braggadocious heel shit in the entrance, his opponent squashes him with one move in like, 90 seconds or something, Max gets pinned, everyone laughs. But having "Best Wrestler Alive" Max go over ten minutes with Moose? That doesn't raise the stock of Max; it just buries Moose. It's not really as if there was anything other than pedestrian wrestling that could raise the score of this match. If you're gonna sign a new talent, guys, at least make sure you watch the tape beforehand."
[6.0] "This one was a bit weird. Unlike most of the matches (including the terrible ones), the match layout and story was very unclear and questionable but the actual work was mostly alright. Additionally, there was a surprising lack of heat throughout the match and the moose chants were the only time the audience seemed to care. 2.75*."
