[8.0] "Nakajima completely ignored all the first half leg work from Mills, but at least he didn't casually shrug off a five count eye rake. When they got down to the nitty gritty of a no-frills tough guy strike war, this was decent and everything that followed the Nakajima knee injury off the backflip was super intense ***3/4"

Both guys take some sick bumps here and Mills taking advantage of the leg injury at the end to boos from the crowd was a good finish. My first full Mills match, and he was kinda iffy on this one. Some of his strikes were good while other stuff didn't land as well"

[9.0] "[4.50] One of the best things about the match is that it contained several ideas/spots that are executed incorrectly 90% of the time, but they built toward them and used them perfectly--like the German Suplex. A fantastic Striking/Technical match."

[9.0] "What a fantastic match! The opening stages featured a ton of British grappling, with Connor Mills targeting Katsuhiko Nakajima's leg. From there, the challenger took control of the match by drawing on his experience and fighting spirit, repeatedly punishing the champion with brutal attacks, keeping him away from the ring, and, above all, avoiding the mat. Just when the path to victory seemed clear, an ankle injury gave Mills an opening, which he capitalized on by forcing Nakajima to tap out to an ankle lock after an excellent closing sequence. One of the best matches of 2026 worldwide. The standing ovation at the end was thoroughly deserved."
