[6.0] "**** A good match--the one that should have been the main event. There was great chemistry; they worked very well together despite the time constraints, making every minute count. Even so, the match fell short of what they could have achieved with more time. There were good sequences, great intensity, and a good pace. Both wrestlers handled the match very well, and the rivalry was palpable, yet it still fell a step or two short of what the build-up had promised. Aside from the masks being torn, it didn't feel like a particularly brutal or intense contest--though it finally regained that edge toward the end. A very strong finish: Soberano survived the 21-Plex, then executed a devastating variation of the Rikishi Driver in the corner, followed immediately by another Rikishi Driver to secure the victory over Bandido"
[8.0] "[4.0*] AMAZING match, the first MOTYC of the night for sure. I'd honestly go way far with this Bandido and Soberano feud, they have the fuel and the chemistry to do something really great. This could even be the 94. Aniversario Main Event. Match was just spectacular on every front, they sure did their crazy moves, reversals and spots, it was indeed an outstanding exhibition, but they also did some pretty good striking, they had a great rudo/face dynamic and the mask-ripping stuff was gorgeous. Soberano even had to ask the fucking crowd for another mask, it was nuts lol. Super easy-watch, big time feel, great heat, great spots and a huge win for Soberano. This was incredible."
[8.0] "Well-executed match that should set up multiple rematches down the line with more time and for bigger stakes. This should be a headlining feud for CMLL for years."
[10.0] "LMAO, what the fuck was this match, seriously? The entrances alone were already so damn cool, but then the match itself was somehow even better! You could feel the full intensity behind every move and every strike, the nearfalls were great, and the sheer violence between the two actually ripped their masks apart. Nah, this was incredible from start to finish."
[7.0] "Definitely more of an escalation than a payoff. They ripped each other's masks then kicked out of a bunch of potential finishers. Soberano's win seemed to come outta nowhere and this could've used more violence and substance ***1/2"
[10.0] "I'm shocked that more people aren't raving about this match. Easily the match of the night and a strong contender for best lucha match of the year. Excellent wrestling combined with beautiful gear and a real sense of vitriol. I don't think I've ever seen someone do a turnbuckle Fire Thunder Driver before, fuckin awesome."
[9.0] "Match of the night, huge surprise from many many points and a shade of a happy future for any of us CMLL fans. One of the few problems I saw on CMLL was the non attractive storylines from the promotion besides the ones related with Místico, maybe that problem is now fixes with Soberano Jr and Bandido. This match was expected from my persona to be good, not great. I should never underestimate Bandido like that ever again in my life. Man, his chops here huge, shining chemistry with Soberano Jr. He ripped his mask off so hard that a fan threw a mask into the ring and Soberano felt it was necessary to wear it. The spots were like, huge. The gigantic difference between the "random match" Soberano Jr and the "big match" Soberano Jr really plays out for our own good here."
[7.0] "I criticize CMLL quite a bit but I really enjoyed this one. Would've liked a bit more intensity in the bigger moves given how intense the feud itself was but for the most part this was a big step up from what I've seen coming out of Arena Mexico recently. I loved that they went for the masks early and Bandido had this mean spirited aggression to him which is quite rare and he seemed to throw the big guns at Soberano Jr pretty quickly. The offence from both men was incredibly smooth but I wish those high spots were more connected to the brawling as their seemed to be a bit of narrative dissonance. Still a great outing for both men"
[8.0] "[4.25] Since what happened between them in the Torneo Cibernetico match, and I'm waiting for their match--if it were any other match at that pace, I'd criticize it, but the level of hatred between them makes it totally acceptable to be this fast and this violent at that speed, beautiful Maskwork since their previous encounter"
[7.0] "A very solid, funny and enjoyable match, but not much more than that. I don't think it quite lived up to what these two are capable of. Two great wrestlers who simply didn't have their best night. Personally, I'm not a big fan of how they handled those piledrivers."
[8.0] "[4.25*] My second favorite match of the night. I went into this show with this match being the one I was looking forward to the most. The feud these two men have been having was great going into this, the hatred they have for each other was shown well in this match. Bandido ripping Soberano's mask so much that they needed a backup mask added to the match imo. Ending was also very cool, with Soberano Jr. hitting his driver from the top rope onto the turn buckle and then another driver in the middle of the ring to defeat Bandido."
[9.0] "Fun match with believable striking and well executed moves. Both Bandido and Soberano Jr are stars and extremely talented in the ring. The apron sequence with Bandido gorilla slam followed by the springboard flip to the ground and the finishing turnbuckle piledriver were specifically noteworthy sequences/spots, all executed perfectly. Only reason for not giving this 10/10 is the limited time. Wish they gave them 20+ minutes to let the match breathe a bit more."
[7.0] "Both men just ripping at each others masks was probably my favorite moment of the time, Bandido ripped Soberano's mask so much that he had to ask for another mask. Besides that, this underwhelmed, the action was still good and the near-falls were also good, but something felt off about this to me, like something was missing."
[7.0] "[3. 50*] The mask's ripping was great and there were some awesome offense from both, they both did pretty well but I was not AMAZED with anything besides the finish. Hope they run a best of three in the future."
[7.0] "This one's a bit weird because they try to start off with animosity, but the strikes weren't all that compelling and the quality of work only began to improve once they incorporated their flashier moves. The mask ripping of it all was pretty good though. Bandido showed a more gritty side and the finish was fine. 3.5*"
[9.0] "Amazing match between Soberano Jr and Bandido. Like the previous match, cmll are so good to make excellent and memorable match of 10/12min, with such a good pace and a good rythm during the entire match. We all knew that Bandido was a serious candidate for the wrestler of the year conversation, but after this match, he has now much more arguments, so great to see."
[10.0] "Just wow man, just amazing, spectacular, quite possibly the match of the entire night, they just delivered incredibly and just went insane for both of Bandido and Soberano Jr, this was just something else man, just spectacular, something you see only for CMLL."
[9.0] "For my money, this is the feud of the year so far. I hope this is not the end of it, though the finish here felt pretty definitive. Anyway, hate was evoked, nastiness was captured, and it was the first match on the show which felt like it got all of the time that it needed. These two pretty boys should be main eventing this show in a couple of years with their masks on the line. I don't know how long Mistico plans to keep going, but this felt like the kind of match that could very easily set Soberano up as the heir to the Empresa."
[8.0] "Great entrances for Bandido and the heat is off the scale. Soberano really enjoyed the opportunity to get heat for a change. I loved having Kemalito watching on approvingly as Soberano was evilling it up. Some great nearfalls here and execution throughout. Great, clean and decisive finish too. Match was well worked, but didn't have the time to be epic - hopefully they can rematch on a regular Friday Night and we'll get the proper match, felt like 70% of what they are capable of."
[9.0] "Incredible match. This has been my favorite feud in CMLL for a while now, and the match was exactly like the feud itself: exceptional. Two top wrestlers who absolutely hate each other, and my God, the drivers they were hitting were insane. The spots we got were absolutely wild."
[9.0] "I loved this grudge match. It was exactly what I expected, an agresive encounter with both wrestlers hitting very hard. Just like for the main event, I think blood could have helped a lot. I hope this opened some eyes and someone with decision power will bring Soberano in USA for some appearances."
