Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander

[7.0] "A pretty good matching giving someone like Kris Statlander the spotlight. Shida did a lot and played her role role well as a foil."

[6.0] "After watching Riho and Sakura it was a relief to see a bigger woman like Statlander deliver some offence that felt like it had some impact. These two worked well and delivered a good match. ***"

[7.0] "This was another good, solid match, and the singles debut of my favourite women's wrestler. Statlander does an excellent job keeping pace with the more experienced Shida."

[7.0] "Really good debut singles match to immediately make Kris Statlander extremely relevant. The match was super well wrestled and had a lot of good intensity, only problem it was a little short and the ending needed another minute. A lot of the good booking of having Kris come in and immediately matter was undone by the Brandi Rhodes shit afterwards, but these girls did a great job in this match for a midcard TV match in under 9 minutes. Should have gotten 6 more minutes and they might have had one of the three best TV matches in the short history of AEW to this point."

[8.0] "Very good match, in my point of view (especially the last segment). Kris Statlander scored a huge point by defeating the number one contender for her first singles match. I really like her and I'm excited to see what she will do in this division."

[9.0] "I thought this was a killer TV match and an early look at the upper end of AEW women's division. Easily the match of the night for me."

[6.0] "A solid match here between two talented women. Even though Kris hasn't been wrestling for long you can already tell there's such a high threshold of potential. Shida is good as always here too. In what is kinda still surprising today Kris goes over the number one contender here in what is only her second televised match."

[7.0] "A nice match, but generally standard stuff by two of the best in AEW showing off the highlights of their respective movesets. Feels like a real exhibition."

[7.0] "A surprising fun match that sealed the deal for Statlander to sign with AEW, she is amazing and has a lot of potential, also proves that Shida has made a lot of people better during her early days in AEW and is the backbone of the women's division."
