Callum Newman & Jakob Austin Young vs. David Finlay & Hiromu Takahashi

[7.0] "Another good tag team match. It started even before the match began, with them fighting backstage. I always enjoy seeing what's usually hidden. The Takahashi/Finlay duo works well. It's funny to see Finlay use Takahashi as a weapon."

[7.0] "Kind of a basic road to tag match without any high stakes however the ringwork by everyone is especially good and it's always funny watching Finlay and Hiromu use each other as a weapon."

[8.0] "A lot of these road to tag matches are a whole lot of nothing, but this was fun. Finlay and Hiromu's rocky relationship and Hiromu being used as a weapon is still fun to me, because I am a simple man. I'm still interested to see how this Unbound Company shakes out as (clearly) not everyone gets along between the two very different constituent factions."

[7.0] "Good match but I feel like the only thing holding this one down was the lack of moments from Jakob Austin Young. He was holding this match down a bit but overall a fun little match with some crowd brawling, hard-hitting action mixed in with a little bit of high-risk offense. Good match. [***.65]"

[8.0] "Very, very good tag match that showcased the unique partnership between Hiromu and Finlay, as well as the new aggressive nature of the revitalized United Empire. Hopefully JAY get's a spot in BOSJ this year."

[6.0] "A decent match. Finlay and Takahashi have really fun tag offense. I also think Newman does a pretty good job in the match. The little brawl before the match was also pretty fun. Nothing to really complain about. 3.25 stars"

[7.0] "Good match. Definitely better than the standard you expect from a Road To show which is nice to see, something that makes it worth tuning in for. Newman was particularly good here and the Finlay/Hiromu team were entertaining again. Just a shame JAY was involved as he's just a nothing really charisma wise and his work doesn't have any pop whatsoever. ***1/2"

[7.0] "Honestly this really overdelivered, a great performance from Newman which really was needed and Hiromu/Finlay continue to be a ton of fun. 3.75"

[8.0] "This was much better than it had any right to be, another great tag match for NJPW this year. Both teams showed really good chemistry here, particularly Finlay & Hiromu who are a very entertaining pair. Finlay showed out here, clearly wanting to get back up the main event. ****."

[8.0] "This was a clash between an act that clearly has a long-term future booked out and two guys who are currently twisting in the wind. Poor David Finlay is watching that top heel spot he's allegedly spent the last three years inhabiting being taken out from under him by Callum Newman and he is not happy about it. They have rather good chemistry together. Then we've got Hiromu Takahashi. Even more so than David Finlay he feels like a man without a country. He's at least still getting good reactions and someone's gotta get the heat put on them, I guess. Another good tag bout from a surprisingly solid tour show."

[9.0] "Excellent match this should have been the main event, so entertaining, Newman and Young doing a great tag team, really funny the dynamics between finlay and takahashi using their partners to hurt the opponents.[****.25]"
