Claudio Castagnoli, Sara Del Rey & Tim Donst vs. Frightmare, Hallowicked & Mike Quackenbush

[10.0] "The war between CHIKARA and the BDK rages on into another season, but it feels as if the BDK has lost their death grip of dominance that allowed them to ravage the company in 2010. Without the benefit of Derek Sabato as referee and a Director of Fun in their pocket, they are tasked with facing off with some of CHIKARA's best on an even playing field. Don't get me wrong, the BDK force is still considerable, but now they have gaps in their armor. Here we have three of my favorite members of the group teaming up in the main event, with Donst pulling double duty after the departure of Lince Dorado from the company. It's a classic CHIKARA showcase, complete with tons of tremendous wrestling and a bit of comedy sprinkled in, the whole sequence of missed chops among the BDK members was a scream and also worked perfectly well into the story of the match, which is that Donst is starting to let his ego get out of control and it's putting him out of sync with the rest of the group. The faces are brilliant in their roles as well, Quack never fails to show spectacular chemistry with Claudio, and Hallowicked and Frightmare have quickly evolved into a pretty brilliant team. Sara Del Rey is just a hard hitting pleasure to watch in any capacity, hell everyone just an awesome job in this match and the crowd was really loving it, as was I. In the end Donst ends up isolated and takes the defeat, which leaves him blustering and even briefly manhandling Sarah as the cracks in the BDK slowly start to get deeper. Great stuff here."
