Sami Zayn vs. Solo Sikoa

[6.0] "Zayn did his best to give Sikoa a good match here, and it ended up being...fine. It wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't particularly bad either. Glad to see Zayn getting the win here, as well. I'm totally for him winning the United States Title, as that would be a great improvement over Sikoa."

[5.0] "Another mid match on this show. Wrestling was not so good, but canadian audience that cheered for Sami doing a very good job. With them it was a normal match. Zayn won it and can get a title match."

[6.0] "Obviously a match to please the public, to see their local star fight. I was however surprised because although the match was simply intended to give credibility to Sami Zayn, the match was still good to see."

[5.0] "Just a meh and pointless match to get Sami on the card in his hometown to get a loud pop from the crowd (granted it did). Maybe but it was just me but the whole time this match was happening i thought it was for the title until Sami got the pin and just ran off. Overall the match itself was a pretty bland TV bout with average well done action with some stupid interference from the MTF at the end which i didn't like as Solo then got made to look weak losing even though his goons got involved. I am still confused how Sami is meant to be an underdog though as nearly every time i bother to watch a WWE show he is on he wins so that baffles me that he is an underdog. So yeah pretty average match with no build up just done for a hometown pop at the start and end. (**1/2)"

[6.0] "(At least this was better than Solo's match at SummerSlam...At least the crowd went nuts when Sami came out...but I just can't help but think...is there anyone else they coulda used for tonight? Maybe give Tyler Bate or Pete Dunne some screen time? )"

[7.0] "Honestly the MOTN because of how excited the fans were for Sami. The hometown hero wrestled a good in ring matchup against Solo, playing off their bloodline history and including stopping his MFTs for cheating and giving him the win. Overall, a solid affair"

[5.0] "I don't see why this match takes place. Cool it's taking place where Sami is from but i see no positives in this. Sami beats one of the weakest us champions maybe ever because of how he's been booked for over a year neither guy should be loosing Sami because it seems he is the guy to take the belt off Seth and solo is legit ur midcard champ on smackdown. Have a feeling this is are u.s. title match at clash in paris"

"Sami Zayn is getting boring and it's affecting his matches. It's time for a change. There are too many roll-ups in WWE. I understand the storyline, but let's not overdo it. The match itself was okay, with some inept interventions from MFT, Sami the superhero, and Trashtalk Solo."

[6.0] "This was the best match on the show. I thought it was for the WWE United States Title, but I didn't hear beforehand that it was just a plain singles match. They were in Sami Zayn's hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, so the crowd went nuts to hear he was on SmackDown to take on Solo Sikoa. Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa had a very decent match, and that's very rare to have on SmackDown nowadays because of how poor the show has been in 2025. But I thought with JC Mateo, Tonga Loa, and Talla Tonga being at ringside, we were seated for a screwy finish, so Solo Sikoa could win, but we didn't, as we saw Sami Zayn get the roll-up win. Now I don't think they will ever tciinm oy on this, but it was nice to see Sami Zayn wrestle."

[6.0] "Zayn/Solo was okay, but nothing special. I hope Zayn doesn't challenge Solo for the US title because there are other people on the SD side like Black and Hayes who deserve that spot."

[4.0] "Cheap and lazy match for a cheap and lazy pop for the hometown hero. I guarantee there will be absolutely no follow up so it's a complete waste of time."

[7.0] "This was a feel good match between Solo and Sami, and to see the hometown hero get his flowers was a nice touch in montreal"

[3.0] "Nice moment for hometown fave Sami, I would not mind him winning the U.S. Title in the near future. But the match was just an emote spam of Solo's, Sami got to be a bit of his never give up underdog."
