El Phantasmo vs. Great-O-Khan

[6.0] "Some fun work early where El Phantasmo and Great-O-Khan worked their way through the crowd. Then it was back into the ring for a solid performance. SINGLES RECORD: Great-O-Khan 4-1"

[4.0] "Limp, insipid wrestling. Both of these guys have been relying heavily on the crutch of half hearted crowd brawling in the opening stretch of their matches this tour and it officially jumped the shark here. When the action returned to the ring it was disjointed, uninteresting, worked at 0.75 speed, and seemed to be strucuring its spots assuming the crowd was more invested than they were. Both ELP and GOK have not been faring well in the G1 this year and this match was the perfect case study as to why. 2 stars (and that's generous)."

[6.0] "The match was nothing special for most of the time bug not bad at all, loved the call back to previous matches with the moves on the outside. The super eliminator finish was killer though and made this worth watching."

[5.0] "A very solid if unspectacular match here, O-Khan got his usual unorthodox offence in and ELP got some big spots to stay looking strong. O-Khan got the win with a cool looking Super Eliminator and there is not too much to note about this match, it was pretty fun but did not linger in the memory."

[6.0] "(Grade:C/***) It definitely felt like they were wrestling at a house show at times but there were moments sprinkle around that made it quite interesting like ELP dive from the crowd and O-Khan top rope choke slam to get the victory."

[5.0] "Wasn't a fan of this. Both guys can have a tendency to sleep walk through a match and I felt that a bit here personally as the match felt longer than it was. Not bad, but it never really got going and the crowd never got into it. **3/4"

[5.0] "***1/4 normal match, mostly normal sequences, normal pace, maybe if it had been slightly shorter it would have helped the pace, the match is not interesting nor does it completely catch you so it feels irrelevant, interesting ending, both fight on the third rope and O Khan finishes ELP with a super Eliminator that ends the match, not very outstanding"

[7.0] "Pretty solid opening block match of the night with both men putting in a solid shift. I am starting to like GoK a bit more now his style is so unique it is interesting to watch to me now. ELP looked solid once again with some nice dives at the start of the match and having some nice stiff offence throughout the match. Had this match at a high 6 unitl the finish with the Avalanche dominator which i thought was really cool. Overall a pretty solid match all round but i would of liked ELP not get the win. (***1/2)"

[5.0] "Didn't have high expectations for this but it was surprisingly decent. Probably the most I've enjoyed an ELP match this tournament. Some decent action for the most part and some surprisingly not terrible back selling from ELP. It did go out the window on some occasions but for the most part it was OK. Finish is pretty cool too as O Khan wins with a too rope Eliminator. This isn't really worth going out of your way to see but it is fairly decent. **3/4"

[6.0] "Good match highlighted by the Avalanche Dominator, I think some of their previous matches were a bit more fast paced though but this was enjoyable nonetheless. ***1/4"

[7.0] "Good action in the ring. Sad for ELP but O-Khan deserves the win. Fun opening match for this day of tournament."

[7.0] "Really fun match between these two, especially the outside bits. Wish ELP came away with the W, I digress."

[6.0] "Some good stuff on the outside early on in the match, and the match itself was pretty decent. Not anything special in my opinion but a solid enough opening match."

[8.0] "O khan has sneakily become my guilty pleasure njpw guy. This match has simple psychology good selling from ELP and some really fun offense. The avalanche eliminator was dope asf"

[8.0] "This was one of the better O-Khan matches so far along with his match against Takeshita. Both guys made this match incredibly fun with the brawling and high spots. ELP sold O-Khan's shots very well, which made them look more believable then usual. Overall this was probably the best match they've had against each other."

[6.0] "Good match objectively with a really exciting finish, but it was easily the least interesting match on the card for me."

[6.0] "They've had good matches before, but this was probably the least of them. They could have cut out the outside brawl at the start entirely. It was totally unnecessary, especially being led by ELP. O-Khan has proven to be a good outside brawler but he was on the defensive the whole time and it didn't really play into the match at all. Once they got in the ring it was good, but not particularly great or anything."
