[7.0] "A pretty solid match which is exactly what I was expecting. Some quality in ring work throughout, with Ospreay getting a sneaky win with a quick pin in the end. The ending is fine I guess but seems a bit sudden. An enjoyable tournament match to look back on."
[8.0] "This match started off very hot, right out of the gate with fast pace action. It started to go at a slower pace, but I didn't mind just this match was still very good. Ospreay and Castagnoli really worked well with one another. Ngl, I thought the ending was a bit weak with Ospreay scoring the win the way he did."
[8.0] "Again, why? Why this site need to be like this, so away from reality. Please guys, bring the real notes for real bangers! The first one was better, but let's put some respect of this match."
[7.0] "Not as good as their previous encounter back in April of this year, in my opinion, but still a fun match nonetheless. Glad to see Ospreay getting another point in the tournament, as I'm fairly sure he'll end up in the Final of the whole thing against Kazuchika Okada."
[6.0] "Something about this match felt very off to me and I much preferred their singles bout before this in AEW. They started out strong here, but I felt things just kinda fell apart towards the end."
[7.0] "This gets off to a fiery start, setting a pace that in my view, they struggle to maintain. Even still, the work is as sharp as you'd expect and there's quality throughout, it just feels short on focus. In fairness, this didn't seem like their attempt at something truly special anyway, but they left quite a bit on the table even within this outline. Good match, but a decent distance below what you'd expect from this pairing. ***1/4"
[7.0] "A very good match, the best of the night. The wrestling mechanics were on the spot in this match. Claudio's work on the arm was superb and Ospreay fighting from underneath made it captivating. In the end, contrary to my liking, Ospreay wins it via a roll-up which was the only possible solution considering that Claudio had an extremely tight grip on another victory. Claudio trying to provoke by disrespecting Ospreay was a nice touch too and the exchanges were fantastic. ***3/4"
[6.0] "***3/4 good match, good combination of styles, good chemistry, good sequences, good duration although it could have been a little longer, and an interesting ending, although I would have liked it more that they would get closer to the time limit and there Ospreay will win with the roll-pin or even with the stormbreaker"
[8.0] "Quite one sided I thought with Ospreay getting to show off his move set on Castagnoli. Claudio had his moments, but it's hard to not come across as the straight man when Ospreay is flying every which way. Still, fun match."
[7.0] "Fun match. Starts off fast with Ospreay hitting a Spanish Fly and a Sasuke Special on Claudio within the first 30 seconds, before Claudio is able to ground him and start working on his arm. To Will's credit, he actually does a decent job of selling his arm which was quite a pleasant surprise. Of course it isn't perfect but it's far more consistent than virtually all of his other selling performances. There's a big counter sequence at the end and Will is able to get the pin on Claudio with a roll up. Very fun TV match, and definitely one of my favourites from Ospreay this year. ***1/2"
[8.0] "Very good match between two of the best work rate guys in all of pro wrestling! The Continental Classic gave them pretense to have a match with limited build, which honestly favors both men. I wanted Claudio to win because the Death Riders already feel like they have lost their momentum, and Ospreay has nothing to lose and in fact could afford to be more fallible."
[7.0] "Two guys that have chemistry with everyone just having a really good match. Didn't go as hard as they could which is fine for what this is supposed to be, but I look forward to it later."
[8.0] "Wonderful tournament match. From the beginning both men went nuts and only had time to relax at the commercial break. I really liked some small touches from Ospreay in here, like him almost falling from the ropes after a headbutt. Claudio is a perfect opponent for Will, especially with his great anti-air. I hope they'll someday get either a bigger match on TV and even a dedicated PPV match, because they definitely can do much more."
[7.0] "7.5 - Really good, choppy action. All of Ospreay's bumps were cripsy as ever, with him making everything feel heavier given he's not actually a small guy like Claudio works best with. Annoyed me that Excalibur kept saying this was a first-ever as I distinctly remember being underwhelmed by their first match. The long submissions early on were not needed."
[7.0] "[3.25*] Very good match. It started off explosively but it eventually toned down a little bit, which is a good thing in my opinion, specially for a TV match. They had no need to do a 5-star classic and they went on the super fun TV bout route. The roll-up finish would be harmless but as Cole vs KOR ended in a roll-up too and with Ospreay being the biggest babyface of the company, maybe he should have been a little bit more dominant throughout the match."
[8.0] "Mr. Ospreay gets three more points against Claudio Castagnoli. This was a very fun match. There was a lot of exciting action, and great offense by both men. I really have been enjoying this Continental Classic so far. I think Will Ospreay should be the one who wins the Gold League side."
[6.0] "It was a good match but I thought their first one was better because this one had indeed cool moments for sure but I felt like they didn't bring their A game and other than the cool stuff with the steel steps, the match isn't that memorable for me but otherwise, it was a good showdown from two great workers who have a good chemistry with each other - ***1/4"
[7.0] "Very interesting match with explosive action, the beginning in particular was very good, with the spanish fly and a lot of spots, finisher tries, it was all very fast and athletic, before the match settled down. Claudio, as the bigger guy and the heel, constantly tried to control the match and did the limb work on Ospreay's back and shoulder, and Ospreay also had his shots, this match was very back and forth, with a lot of interesting sequences. Ospreay won via roll-up - {***1/4}"
[8.0] "Of course it ruled, there was no world where that wasn't going to be the case. I preferred their first match earlier this year but it was qualitative with a good story, Ospreay was booked differently than usual here and that's a good thing as he must have a big confidence boost in his character. In the ring, it was brilliant too, of course."
[8.0] "Quality stuff from two of the best in ring wrestlers in the world, and after all the bombs thrown on each other, Ospreay ended up getting the win with a Jacknife pin. I suppose in tournament wrestling, winning is more important than how you win. Nice setup afterwards to build up Ospreay vs. Darby Allin next week."
[7.0] "Honestly felt like just a taste of what these two could do but it was still really good for the time it was given. Any match where Claudio just gets to toss people around and do cool power shit is fun but Ospreay can really sell that stuff and find ways to implement his hope spots into them as well. Ospreay winning on a roll up was a good way to keep Claudio alive as a threat in the tournament and I guess they still need to maintain the Death Riders rep as killers too. Not the best match these two could have but still good."
